Mine will be at work for me on Friday morning.

I'd like to do that but I don't really have the funds . I'm torn between getting it sooner or waiting for motomaker customization...
Wonder if the 30% coupon people are using to get it on contract for 139 would work if buying it outright.

Question is, will the 32GB on Verizon next month be $150? If so, i would definitely be willing to give up the customization from motomaker.

Right that is what I was referencing. I'm hoping best buy will have the lower price on the 32GB version when it comes out then.
After browsing BestBuy and Amazon, it appears neither offer the 32GB. Is it only available on Motorola's site or in the AT&T store? (I assume therefore will only be available in the Verizon store once it's out for them)
If so, I may just go ahead and snag up the cheap one at best buy. I can live with 16GB for over a $100 savings.
For those not in the know. There is a Motorola trade up program right now where moto will give 100 back for people who have older Motorola phones
http://www.mototradeup.com/
Could mean a free moto X if your interested.

The 32gb is only available through moto maker. The stores or Att directly doesn't offer the 32gb. I thought about selling my 16 and buying a 32gb but like you said it's over 100 bucks in savings to just get a 16gb version.

Yeah, I think for $150 in savings I can make do with 16GB.
I bought the phone from them a few days ago and they refunded me the difference. The best Android phone available at the moment and now it's half as much.

according to http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/10/10/moto-maker-tipped-bring-moto-x-customization-best-buy/ BestBuy will have motomaker booths. I hope that this means customization and 32 GB options with the BestBuy discount. I will surely pull the trigger then
Looks like the sale is over The verizon30 code still works on Verizon's site, so I think I'm gonna pull the trigger at snag it for $139.99 unless anyone else here knows of a better deal? My problem is, my billing period ends this Sunday (I'm switching from Sprint to Verizon) and I don't really want to hold off that long. Amazon does have it for $99, but back ordered 1-3 weeks. Not to mention, I may be adding other family to my plan in the next 30 days so that might be hard to do if Amazon has an additional contract prohibiting change of the plan.
updated with new offering from ATT
Well, looks like Motorola is not honoring any type of partial refund/price matching for Moto Maker devices. I purchased a device directly from Motorola (through Moto Maker) on Friday of last week. After calling this morning multiple times and asking about processing a partial refund for the difference in price, I was told that "prices are subject to change" and always offered a $100 Motorola online coupon good for 30 days and only valid on select accessories.
Needless to say, I was a bit miffed! I guess I'll just have to try processing a price guarentee through AMEX and see what happens.

For those of you who don't have one yet, better pick one up while they're still discounted. I don't see any reason to pay $349 for the Google Play Edition, as the software should be interchangeable with a few simple mods.

Seems to be even more entry level than the Moto G. They quote the price for the dual SIM + TV as R$599,00 - I'd expect it to retail for something like $119,00 / £89,00 / €129,00 SIM-free, unlocked.
Why would a more entry level phone cost more?

I'm going by Amazon prices here, but the cheapest G goes for $179 / £115 / €159,00. Obviously you can find it discounted, but this isn't what I'm talking about, I'm talking about standard prices.

It also looks like a Moto G LTE version is going to be released in the coming months as well. I would imagine the next version of the Moto G will have LTE as a standard feature. The costs of including multiple bands for LTE is coming down so it only makes sense.

I might get the LTE Moto G since the screen on my current G is cracked/scratched at the upper right. It's barely noticeable, but it's noticeable enough to annoy me. Quite a few people like my phone and it isn't available here (I don't think Digicel plans on carrying this phone and it's expensive as hell to import) so I can most likely sell it for some good cash once I get the LTE version.
I am so buying it just for the lte features xD

Hi, I just read that the Developer Edition Moto X is being sold for just $229 on eBay. This is a pretty good deal for anyone who was considering buying a Moto X. International shpping is relatively low too!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Motorol...2GB-4-1-GSM-Unlocked-US-Warranty/221595159583
I agree. I was fortunate to have purchased a 64GB T-Mobile/Unlocked XT1053. I doubt we will see those again. Even the new 2014 Moto X Pure Edition is not offering 64GB.
I bought one, but just noticed this Reddit thread that suggests the GPS might not be working on them... anyone have any info relating to this?
I'm hoping that the reddit thread is malarkey. I just contacted the seller about this. I'll send it back unopened if this is the case. The ad said nothing about this. I read looking forward to getting this phone! Fingers crossed is not true!
Just reread the ad on eBay, GPS is listed as a feature. It states the phone is brand new in box with 1 year Moto warranty. Be cool if one child get moto care for it as well. The phone is in transit, hoping to get it a day early.
I doubt the phone lacks GPS...I mean, Motorola would need to have a lot of faulty Moto's to make such lot of GPS-less Moto X's. I'm pretty sure it do has GPS, very few phones lack GPS nowadays.
Just received mine yesterday, and it arrived a day early, too! No issues whatsoever. It was completely brand new, unopened and untouched. Absolutely loving it so far. Currently been using an iPhone 6 Plus and a Sony Xperia Z Ultra, and I've got to say, its quite refreshing using a compacts sized phone that fits perfectly in the hand.

Hi, I ordered mine from the same eBay link a few days ago (the Moto x 2013 developer edition 32gb, at USD 229) and I'm a little worried because I'm from Argentina and besides the price of the phone itself I also have to pay someone in the US to bring me the phone here, so it's an extra 100 dollars for me.
Anyway, since you received yours already I need to ask you if everything was ok with it, I mean, is it brand new? unopened box? not refurbished and working perfectly fine for you?
Thanks in advance for the help! [emoji12]

As I said, it's a completely brand new and unopened unit - factory sealed and clear wrapped in original packaging (as far as I can tell, it's not a refurbished unit). No need to worry. And it's running absolutely smoothly. Near flawless performance considering the chip set it's running.

Seller is playing some games with pricing, it's been up and down over and over again.
With Lenovorola wanting an absurd $200 to replace the chipped screen on my GF's MotoMaker XT1058 this has a lot of appeal.
Bummed it's an XT1053, no T-Mo HSPA support. Did they make a 1058 Dev Edition, or only the ATT variants?

You're totally right, suffered a moment of brain fade. 1053 is the one to have from a U.S. GSM band perspective.

I am tempted to get a second one so I can apply skins to it to match my mood, lol! I have the leather back and I wouldn't want to apply a skin to it b/c it feels so nice but sometimes I want to be more festive and don't want a black phone.

Cost to Buy MX14 And Sell in September When MX15 is Released = $145
Here is how I think about whether or not to buy a MX14 or to wait for the MX15. The cost of buying now when you factor in selling the device in September when the MX15 is released is $145 where I live given my sales tax rate.
To buy a 32GB is $370 with tax and I estimate based on the resale prices of the MX13 back in September of last year, you should net at least $225 for the MX14 in September IF you don't get any wacky customizations - weird color combos, your name on the back, etc. Just get a black/black/dark gray or white/white/silver or white/black/dark grey - those should sell well in the fall.
So if you sell the MX14 in the fall when the MX15 is released, you will be out $145 or less if you can get more for the MX14 than my estimate. That is of course a lot of money to some people but for me to have a nicer phone for 5 months it is worth it.
