Just installed 4.3 GE on my i9505.
However one niggle with it is the menu and back button illuminate, on touchwiz there is an option to make it so they never light up.
Also whenever these buttons are pressed (touched) they vibrate, they didnt do this on touchwiz....
Anyone know how to stop the above?
I belive this is what you are looking for..
Disabling haptic feedback in powersaving options should stop the "viabration" on using softkeys.

hi guys
i've flashed my legend with the cm7 nightly build #21
now i'm facing some issues regarding the lockscreen and i hope some of you can help me with this:
1. is there any possibility to remove or switch the haptic effect while unlocking?
2. when i push the power button, the phone is not locked, because when i press it immediately afterwards again, the homescreen appears.
thx
I'm running CM 6.1 so things might be a little different, but I know there is a settings (I believe it's under "CyanogenMod settings") that lets you change the time it takes for the screen to lock after going to sleep or ressing the power button.
You might also find the answer to the haptic problem in there somewhere too.

I presume you have a "pattern unlock" screen and from there you want haptic feedback removed. For that go to Settings - Location & Security and under "Screen unlock" section you have "Use tactile feedback" option. Untick that to have no vibrations when drawing the pattern.

Go to CyanogenMod Settings - Lockscreen and the last section is "Delay and timeout". You have 2 options there "Screen timeout delay" and "Screen turn off delay". Set them both to "Immediately" (by default is something like 3 or 5 seconds) and you're done
Hi,
I'm using [17.02.2012[MAGLDR][SD] IceCreamTostidroid v7.0] build.
But I've got a problem with the hardware Home-Button.
Everytime I press it, the screen turned off.
Does anyone know how I change the acton of the Home-Button?
Regards
It's right!..It's to enable the Torch function!
Try to long-press Home Button while screen is off!
And if you want to change this behavior search in his thread!
How can I disable the button light since i want to use soft buttons?
Cm7 has an option for this. Also, see if the app LED's Hack is still in the market.
Hey all,
- on a google search, when pressing the setting hardware button, settings of the launcher appear in the background ( for widgets etc.)
- same thing when pressing settings hardware button in the drawer
- random 3x vibrations
- too strong vibration feedback when pushing hardware buttons and drawer button
currently using Jamal's 4.4 , but its stock so i guess these things will appear on any stock 4.4
anyone noticed? are there some fixes aviable?
Hi I coming from the nexus 5 and I love the on screen buttons. I love everything about the s5 but I not a fan of the buttons. I wanted to know if can turn them off or remap then so that they do nothing. Also maybe get home button to turn on and off the phone so that I don't have to use the power button on the side. Let me know if you have a way to do it. I prefer not to have to go and edit some XML file. If there is an app or setting I can use to do that for me that would be great.

Turn the backlights off in the display menu, install Gravity Box and set up the NavBar options etc, regarding re-mapping the home button, it's available on Custom ROMS but not sure if an Xposed module can/would work.

Thanks. Now I need to see if I can remap the buttons. I currently have infinity ROM which doesn't give the option for it.
Wanam Xpose should all need that options.
