Back up your data and format the sdcards, both internal and external. Copy files back to the sdcard. I faced it earlier and it got resolved after formatting.

If you have swapped your sdcard and that is causing problem. Then replace the original vold.fstab and take out the microsd and check connecting with PC. But if out its drivers issue, then you know what you should do.

Dude i had the same prob yesterday.i thought i was so fu**ed.here is what i did.temove ur ext sd.check with a card reader if its corrupted or totaly wasted.if corrupted then format.if wasted,tough luck.after formatting, put the original vold stab inside it.dont put it inside.try to format the inbuilt sd from the phone.if nothing happens just wait for some tym.dont bother mounting.wont work.then turn off the phone.put the ext sd inside.turn on.do a factory reset.if u r lucky,it will show the cards.then just to b safe unswipe by putting the default vold.it shud b fine.in my case it happened after i was messing with chainfire 3d.i think its due to low quality sd card.by the way my 8gb ext. Sd is totally worthless now.no regrets tho.it was a low quality one.gave problems in my digi cam too.what ext sd do u use.best of luck dude.i spend almost 3hrs yesterday tryin to fix it.hope this post was of help to u.

Sorry.my prob wasnt exactly the same.my prob was no memory card was showin.both int and ext sd was unavailable.even after i used adifferent sd, it persisted.and after i tried connecting with pc the same thing like urs happened.then i solved it like mentioned above.

Hello everyone i have a problem with my phone-pc.I just reinstalled win xp and reinstaled phone drivers(samsung kies)...and now i have a problem when trying to copy movies to my sd via usb cable it tell me an error...something like this: "this file is too deep"(sorry if it's wrong but i forgot it)

This is a very common issue with a partitioned sdcard..
The best solution for this is to use a Card Reader to copy files, you may also try using dual mount sd widget ...

I own an galaxy y duos of stock firmware ddlc2 and using my ics mod,MAXX 8gb micro sdcard...
Yesterday around 4:30 I was playing pes12 on ma fone and everything was ok... Songs were playing and wer there in music player..
Then around 5:30 while gng to class I tried to open my root explorer for installing an app..
But it. Was force closing again and again. So tried to go to my files but there I found sum of d folders like download,backups,apps,softs wer showing like inaccessible files(like how we cannot open zip files like dat icon and inaccessible). So I removed root explorer. Then tried but again same....
Then I rebooted my fone and then came d serious error
BLANK SD CARD OR UNSUPPORTED FILE SYSTEM.WHEN I CLICK ON IT IN NOTIFICATIONS BAR IT SHOW D SAME ERROR IN POPUP AND TELLS TO REFORMAT :-'O:what::thumbdown::screwy:

I felt like I got a heart attack...I tried removing and wiping my sd CARD again 3-4 times but in failure...
It was an 8gb MAXX micro sdcard..
I had all my apks(around 550-650),backups(nandroid and uot backups),flasable zips(xperia patches,icsmod and many more), some patches(settings,music players,systemui...),images(around 1000 and many important 2) &many more(videos,games).....
Guys plz tell a way to recover my sd data don't hav a backup of any of dem in pc....
LAST done things...
1. LAST DOWNLOADED: iduos 1.2 kernel and android terminal emulator from blackmart..
2. Last ERROR: ad free was showing error like old version update new and black mart was showing nothing empty.. Removed and reinstalled ad free from playstore everything fine..
3.LAST CHARGED: 4:30 TO 5:15 from friends blackberry charger...

can you open your sd card via card reader via PC?
Its very big bug of DDLC2 ........i face this problem many time....... Firmat ur card using pc or nokia device......im used nokia device .my pc.not read this..... Plz upgrade ur firmware.........DDLE2

ddlc2 not support blank sdcard error i face this problem.......... if u want to recover ur file insert ur memory card in PC and try to recover ..........
recova is software its support recover file from format-ed SD card.......:laugh::good:
Good Luck...........always make backup all file in ur PC

This problem usually caused by a mismatch kernel with some applications.. try to recovery your file,,, u can try EasyRecovery Professional..

Once i've face this problem atleast 3 time in my life...
Formating sd-card isn't a good way, if u won to recover any lost data.
Since there is u have only 50% change to have u'r data recovred. But if u already format it only has 10%.
I suggest to get contact with someone who have enought knowledge about this, so u can recover your data.
I'm sorry i cannot suggest anything to recover your data. Becouse since there is many sd card manufactur has life time warranty so i just replace it with the new one. Piss
Also next u can back it up via online back up. If only u have too small Drive in your pc. There is so many now.
For example:
google drive free 5gb, dropbox free 5gb, box.com free 5gb but u can upgrade for free into 50gb, 4shared free 5gb, mediafire free 50gb.
Soo it's always good to have safety backup...

use card reader and use any recovery software like quetek file scavanger, easeus recovery tool, active partition recovery... get ur data.. then format it...
oh cool.. i didnt see it was done... congrats... but check data once.. usually when u recover all data of a partition all data wont be intact.. i mean like 1 files data may be overlapped on other.. i have done recovery many times.. so check that.. if no such thing has happened and all files working.. then u r lucky!
Hello. I have a hudge problem with my phone. Somehow it automatically unmounts and remounts my sd card for no reason no matter what rom I use. Sometimes it unmounts my sd card and don't mount for a month. Sometimes it gives damaged sd card error and asks to format it but when I insert my card to tablet and it detects no errors. What could be the problem? Can anyone help me fix this?

If it does happen with all roms you've tested, including stock 2.1 then your SD card is propably faulty. You formatted it under Windows?

I can't try stock rom because it says that my recovery is to new. SD card can't be faulty because it is new. I had other sd card earlier but my phone didn't recognized it so I bought new. And i have formatted under Windows.

Then you have to check different roms and kernels to see under which your SD card works properly. I suggest trying newest AOSP / SDSL or CM 7.2 by Tejas build three.
Maybe is the slot of your SD Card, Why?:
Using every ROM, same device and same problem = device
Used other device and everything ok = the "other" device
So, definitely your slot on your device is bad. Good Luck!

Maybe. But I can only try other roms because warranty is over and I do not have funds for this right now... Some day I will fix it or maybe not:victory:

Now I realy messed up my sd card. It shows 2.9gb free storage instead of 4gb. Phone can`t recognize it at all(in recovery I can see it) and I can`t transfer any files. How to fix this?

Just delete all partitions and make new (FAT32) with some Live CD if U don't have Linux on PC (for best get gParted Live).
Next put it in Your phone and partition again with CWM 6.0, or just use fat32.
Some customized roms mess up sd card if it has /swap.
Noticed this in some 2.3 custom rom, but don't remember name of it.

Sup guys. I don't know if this is the right place to post this. But here I go. My 32gb San Disk micro SD card was working fine on my gs3 until I got my s4 and now it seems to be write protected. I can't delete or add anything onto the card. It worked fine on the s3 though. So I Googled a little about this and came across a piece of software, which I downloaded and made use of. But the tool I used to supposedly fix the card actually made it worse. Now the phone can't read it, nor can the PC explore its files (but can detect the device), its like a non allocated partition that just needs formatting. But I have tried windows format utility, SD card formatter, HD low level formatter, and HP USB disk utility software and all of them without success. Please help me as I don't know what else to do.

Yes the galaxy s4 does seam to have issues with sdcards, I myself had corrupt sdcard twice for no apparent reason. Your sdcard will now be in RAW file system and from experience very hard to recover, I've tried dozens of recovery windows apps to fix the partition without success (maybe just didn't try the right app) you can however recover SOME datas on the sdcard but there is no guarrentee how much or what you can successfully recover.
The moral of this story is to ALWAYS backup your data.

Damn, i was trying to keep my new s4 "clean" but i guess ill have to root it. Oh well, ill keep kit kat unrooted then. Lol

just find an adapter from somewhere, usually one is supplied with the card
I tried clockwork mod recovery with no avail. I have little faith that a camera format tool would work, so I'm not even gonna bother to find a microsd adapter. Sigh. Any other suggestions please? I'm almost giving up

Why not just get a card reader and use a PC and partition minitools?
To get your SD card back You may even need to do a LOW LEVEL format. This is very different from a standard format.
Use Google and get a freeware version of a low level format software then repartition USB/flash drive then normal fat32 format.
