Hi all, some advice would be welcomed.
I've always been able to select 4-5 apps in the Google Play store while on my computer, select my device, and it syncs automatically with my phone right away. It hasn't been doing that tonight. I initially thought it was the wifi at my work, however upon trying it at home, the same thing happens.
The moment I open the Google Play app on my phone, the apps I selected for download on my computer immediately begin to download. Very strange! Any ideas what might be wrong?
My Nexus is 4.3 (JWR66Y), root (stock ROM). I wasn't having the issue I've been experiencing tonight even after upgrading to JWR66Y. So I'm not so sure that's the cause.
Thanks.

Hi all,
Ok I have a Nexus 7 I rooted it about 4mths ago, works great, up untill a few weeks ago.
I dont think I did anything unusal, Just normal updates of apps.
Anyway So I try to go onto google play and it keeps coming up with 'Couldn't establish connection'. I havent change any of my wifi setting or google account settings.
So I can go onto the net through Chrome no worries, but just not anything to do with google play, which is all my apps.
I then did Factory reset and still nothing. And Also my Nexus will charge but not recognize USB on my PC.
Also when it was rooted, I try to clear the cache in recovery mode but it came up with, "No command"
Now I have looked online for solutiosn but nothing solid. Can anyone give me a straight simple answer, is it now just a brick.
Thank you

I may be give you solution about the Play Store problem. I've faced the same. This may be the network provider. I used Hotspot Shield. Let me know if you can't manage to install the app I'll attach the apk.

I'm concerned about your recovery mode issues, because it indicates you may have installed something incorrectly which is causing trouble. The simplest question to ask though is what color your Wi-Fi indicator is. It needs to be blue for Google services (such as the Play Store or Gmail) to work.

I would look into this problem before trying to address the play store problem. An improperly installed recovery can lead to far more problems than your play store not connecting.
Which recovery are you using, and which version is it?
After a recent snafu in trying to remove root from my Nexus 7 tablet and installing the 4.3 update I think there are issues with with it's ability to keep a constant wireless connection, Juice Defender be damned as way before root and even during root I was able to maintain a flawless connection although I think the issue may have arisen during my installation of a cracked google play store app.
This was a couple months ago though.
However I decided rooting wasn't worth it and wanted to update to the new 4.3, this is where the snafu occurs, unrooting wasn't a problem at all, nor was flashing stock recovery, but the process of installing 4.3 was since even performing the update in my settings wasn't working, it would download and my tablet would restart and try to apply the update but soon after it would error out and I had to perform a hard shut down.
After that it would boot like normal and there were no issues, other than the update failing to apply.
So I decided to try and apply the update manually and as it turns out, I was attempting to install the update for the mobile version of the tablet instead of the wi-fi only one that I have so it didn't install correctly and simply erased all data on my tablet except luckily for the devices fastboot mode.
Seeing that I installed the correct 4.3 factory image and this is where the wi-fi issues come into play (I wanted to explain in as much detail as I could that might shed light on my current wi-fi situation).
The tablet booted up seemingly normally, taking a bit longer than it should have to me and upon getting to the glowing X before the main screen it suddenly reset it's self and then booted up correctly; so I finished the set up process after linking my wi-fi up but while going through each app that uses wi-fi I started off with games like Happy Street and The Sims Freeplay which worked normally.
Then I got go my Bank of America app and it's the one app (besides the Play Store on occasion), that didn't work at all, instead it just timed out, there's a screenshot so you can verify for yourselves.
You can clearly see I do have an established connection but this is the only app that fails to work after the update, again besides the Play Store but I've removed root and the crack is no longer installed, not that it would work anyway without root access but it doesn't concern me as much since it'll connect after force closing the app and starting it again.
So that's my issue in detail, is there something that I messed up that's preventing the device from maintaining a connection? Or do I simply need to re-install the factory image to restore connections?
Hmm...I've been having some trouble with WiFi as well.
I was running CM10 and then installed the 4.3 factory image over that. That's where the problem started. Since then I've tried the 4.2 factory image, Ubuntu Touch, and I'm now back on CM10, but the issue remains that my WiFi seems to stop working even though the icon in the notification bar says that it's connected.

Well the weird thing is, is that every other app seems to work but that one where it just times out, I'm going to try just re-installing the update and see if that helps things.
Edit: After backing everything up I decided to re-install the 4.3 update and after downloading the Bank of America app it started up instantly, froze for a moment and allowed me to sign in.
I closed out of the app and tried again to check and after 3 attempts to sign in it worked each time, I think the re-installation did the trick.
When I try to update apps in the Google Play Store, it says, "Downloading" and displays the progress bars, but doesn't actually download anything.
I'm using a rooted Nexus 7 with stock ROM (no mods).
Things I have tried
I have tried clearing data and cache for the Google Play Store and Google Play Services, with and without wifi enabled.
I have tried uninstalling updates for the Google Play Store (how do I reinstall them?).
I have tried removing my Google account and adding it again.
I have tried powering down and restarting -- this causes the Play Store to download for about 5 seconds after I start back up before it stalls again.
I have verified that the wifi connection works just fine.
Other oddities
When I tried to install the recent OTA update, It didn't work (google android on his back with the message, "Error!"), but restarting the device seemed to return everything to normal again. This has happened twice now, and I don't know how to solve it.
Occasionally, the play store will start actually downloading the updates for a minute or two (enough to get several updates at once). Then is stops as suddenly as it started.
Same thing here since I moved to PURITY, then I just moved back to PA 4.0 beta still same problem.

So a couple things.
First off, do you have a custom bootloader? it seems as you don't as the Android on his back is the stock, but I just wanted to check
Have you ever tried installing an update one at a time? sometimes when I start to receive updates for apps, it just sits there indefinitely, but when I stop all updates and manually go into each app that needs updating and update, that works. I would give that a try
I think I fixed my problem.
I cleared data/cache of Google Play Store in #Settings #Apps #All
But I had to do it multiple time time before it accepted to download again.
And also at one point I formatted the sdcard but still wouldn't download so I tried again multiple times to clear data of Google Play Store.
Now it keeps updating all my apps (update all).
To start off, this is happening on my rooted & bootloader unlocked Lollipop v5.1.1 Nexus Player, btw...
But anyway, just all of a sudden today, I started having issues with the Play Store sorta freezing up and displaying/getting stuck on an all black screen(the entire tv screen would go solid black) after choosing on the "Update" button within a couple of different app listings. It wouldn't go past that black screen unless I would back out of the Play Store all the way back to the home screen, and from there I could re-open up the Play Store app again. After finally trying and trying over and over again on several different apps, a couple of them DID manage to properly update via the normal Play Store updating mechanism. After a couple of successful updates, I opened the Play Store back up again and NOW it won't even open up at all...nothing at all! As soon as I would try to open it up, there would just be a little swirly thing on a black background and it would then display "Server Error - Retry." It seems to be stuck on this crazy error now and the Play Store won't even open up at all. I eventually got fed up and just cleared the Play Store app cache and data from the main Android->Settings->Apps section, but that didn't clear up any of my issues with the Play Store, so I just rebooted and then reinstalled the app. Reinstalling the Play Store from the apk downloaded from apkmirror did nothing at all to clear up my issues either. Sooooo...I'm stuck wondering what to do next? What could the problem be, and is anyone else experiencing this? It's not my network because I've tried running the play store from a wifi connection AND my ethernet connection, both with the same negative results. And this may not be related, but then again, it may, but the Play Store opens up just fine on my Note 3 and other devices I've got here at the house. Any help would be appreciated!
I'm having the same problem, NP updated to 6.0.1 and latest play store.
Did a factory reset and play store is just showing games , and it won't even show any apps in "my apps"

Hi, I have a Galaxy S10+ on Verizon in the USA.
Having a few major problems that I just can't figure out:
1. When I try to download apps from the Play store, the download gets to 99 or 100% but never completes the installation. The fix is to go into settings/apps/show system apps/download manager and "force stop." Then the installation will complete.
2. Some apps don't work correctly. For example the CBS Radio News app starts streaming audio, then stops a few seconds later. And the ParKing app sometimes records my location upon disconnection from my car's bluetooth, and sometimes it doesn't.
3. Notifications from all apps are totally unreliable. Sometimes they'll come right away. Sometimes not for hours, and sometimes all at once. And sometimes when tapping on a notification it will bring you into the app. while sometimes it will do nothing.
WHAT I TRIED:
Tried rebooting, clearing data and cache on problem apps.
Cleared data and cache on "Google", Google Play Store and google play services.
Cleared phone's cache partition.
Uninstalled and reinstalled broken apps.
I THOUGHT I FOUND THE SOLUTION:
All these problems went away a month or so ago when I logged out of my google account on the phone. Iogged back in and it all worked great! I thought the problem was solved, but now it's all happening again. Logged of the the google account and back in, but it's still broken this time.
AND:
I had similar problems with my Galaxy S7, and thought the new phone would fix these problems! Is it possible there's something wrong with my google account? How could I have the same problems on both phones?
I haven't yet tried a factory reboot on the S10+, but I did do it on the S7, and after working for a while, the problems came back.
Additional info:
Mobile data and wifi have strong signals.
No custom ROMs, not rooted or anything, just stock the way it came. Only downloaded apps from Play Store. Nothing sideloaded.
All battery optimization is turned off. Power mode set to "high performance."
I've looked everywhere for a solution and have come here to the ultimate experts. You're my last hope!
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
