Hai,
I just ordered the Oppo find 5 indonesian version, but I have an question.
Can I flash any custom rom on it?
I don't really care about the 900Mhz band.
Hope to hear from you

Hello,
I have an Vns-l23 from latin america and i want to change carrier but it has a 900MHz band and my model only support this bands.
4G: FDD B2(1900MHz)/B4(1700MHz)/B5(850MHz)/B7(2600MHz)/B28(700MHz)
But i've researched and models like vns L21,L22 and L31 support band 8 and i want to know if there is a way to have LTE in this band in my phone, maybe changing ROM or something similar.
I've found methods in google but are only for qualcomm processors and doesn't work.
I'm using Cyanogenmod ROM and i haven't tried if this band is compatible but i want to make sure that it works before i change carrier.
If someone confirm that this band work in CM or know how to make compatible, please solve my dude.
PD: excuse if i made mistakes, english is not my native language.
Thanks.
As far as i know, is this a hardware thing and cannot be "unlocked" via software. If the latin american modem does not come with lte 800 support, i think it is imposible to "unlock".
News? Is it possible?
Could anybody do it?
I suppose it is possible...
I had asians firmware was-lx2 but i need to use it in Argentina, with other band for 3g and 4g.
So i chanhed firmware to latinoamerican was-lx3.
I supposed it would unlock me the same frequencies that the p10 Lite in latinamerica is using qhen you buy it original, but at the moment (1 day) i think nothing happend.. i do not hace 3g nor 4g.
What do you think?
Hi, I hope that you can help me, please. I have a Elephone P9000 US version, I bought it a few weeks ago, and it works good, the bands for 4G B2 and B4 works perfectly.
Now, my problem is that I have updated it to Android 7.0 with the ROM P9000_20170418 that I found in the forum and now the bands B2 and B4 and the others that belong to the US Version have stop working. Now my Elpehone P9000 works as if was the Europe Version.
I need help to see what can I do for the restore the bands of the US Version, I don´t know if you can share me the original ROM for the Elephone P9000 US Version or how I can restore the US Version bands.
I hope you can help me, I would appreciate it very much, Thank You.

Had anyone who doesnt have the Global Version tried to change the LTE Band with the Snapdragon software tools? If you haven't heard or tried this just search Unlock LTE Bands in XDA main search. Because I'm think its going to be much cheaper to by the Chinese version that is like only 343USD for 6gb of RAM and 128 ROM and unlock the bands. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Changing the bands with QPST or QXDM can be done but it has no effect on functionality.
Some software will see these bands as unlocked but the phone itself can not make use of them. You might also run into some trouble on MIUI though custom roms seem more flexible with this.
At the moment there is no way to convert a CN (band restricted) model into a Global model (no band restrictions).
Hi, somebody has any news ?
for conversion(activate ) band 20 in Xiaomi Note 2 ?
thank you
This is very important topic I think. What I find really weird that the firmware files (modem) and rom are the same no matter which version you have...
On redmi note 3, kate and kenzo have different rom and different modem files. Its really weird here.
Hi, I'm new here. I have a question. is it possible to unlock b20 band on Xiaomi mi note 2? In Poland I need to use LTE 800 Mhz. I apologize for any mistakes but my English is not very good.
There are some ways on the internet for different Snapdragon devices and CPUs .
Never heard any Mi Note 2 user that he succeded doing such operation...
I guess you don't have the global version and need band 20 for LTE...
Maybe someone will come with a different and better answer, but as i know, you can unlock them in software but hardware does not support those additional bands that the Global version come with...
I tried to change the nvram parameters but to no avail

No the US doesn't use B20. If changing firmware doesn't offer B20 then its may be possible to use the QPST tool to open the band.
I would try all working compatible firmwares first. Plus drive to someplace where other people absolutely have B20 before doing anything drastic.
