Google plus not compatible with MB526 says Play market - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have tried clear the Google Play cache, twice, it's still the same thing. In fact, when I go to the play market with my account on my PC, it shows that "google plus" is not compatible with MOTO MB526
I have recently flashed a full sbf for defy+ while my phone is actually defy (I know, it's a mistake). Then I rooted my phone and installed CM10.1.

Here I have no problems with G+ on my CM10.1. Could it be that G+ is not available in your country or region?

google apps won't download for defy ics

Hi
I rooted my green lens defy and i'm currently running CM9-NIGHTLY-120416-Defy.zip.
I backed up all of my old settings and apps from froyo with titanium backup.Tried to reinstall gmail and maps but they do not work properly.
Also i can't download anything from the restored appbrain marketplace because it says i do not have android market installed, also tried via my browser, it says the download will start but never does. When i use recovery and load my old rom the apps are waiting and download fine.
Will i be ok to install gapps-ics-20120317 and get my google apps back and will this solve my problem?
That would be the wisest thing to do..
Was just confused, because the instructions given in all the threads I've read only mention flashing the gapps file if you have a defy±.My phone is an 18 month old defy. Please can someone else confirm it's OK to flash.
I made the same mistake, caused a right mess with force closes and the like. I started again, went through the instructions, but added in the flash gapps (same one you mention above), and now my phone works fine (apart from some minor bugs).
I'm currently using the same CM9 nightly, and have a green lens Defy.

Gapps have nothing to do with the phone model..For every Android version, the specific gapps is released.. So the gapps for ICS, can be flashed to phone running ICS, doesn't matter if its a defy or defy+

I had the same issues with Play store to download app a couple times. In app manager, select Google play store and clean cache and data. That`s work for me.
Otherwise try wipe data/cache then flash the last nightly from Epsylon for defy froyo, then CM7 Kernel then the last gapps-ics-20120422 then battery ics fix then reboot and restore your app That should work fine
Hope been helpfull

Thanks everyone, all working fine after installing the latest gaps. This was my first root and i'm very grateful for the help i received but the instructions in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432100# could have been a bit clearer.
Anyway, as usual the problems encountered have helped me learn a lot more than i knew before.

Installed latest CM10 but any type of download does not work

Hi
I have installed CM10 latest build last night. I installed latest recovery first then flash to CM10 20121111 Successfully.
Now the problem is I can't download anything from Android market or even on the website. I just get normal notification that says downloading.
I installed the rom twice, while wipe data ,cache and dalvik bit sill same problem.

For some builds I have the same problem. Nothing happens. However, after a certain amount of time, I get the notification that the download is finished (this goes for normal downloads).
As for the Market.. no idea. Just as a check, you can try to get Market Enabler, clear all data&cache on the Play Store, choose another provider with ME, then try again to access Play Store. Maybe it helps as workaround.

Android market error even after factory reset?

On my GF's MT4G, her Play store started acting up so she did a factory reset and her Market wont open up. It gives her an error code. A long time ago I rooted her phone and tried getting her the old Market when they made the switch to the Play store. Could that been there reason why its giving an error code? I thought if you do a factory reset it would wipe any everything done to the phone. Its still running the stock rom BTW.

When I click on the Market app i get the "Sorry! The application Market )process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly Please try again" message.
Try flashing a newer GApps file.
Have you tried going to settings>apps> play store and clearing data and cache of the app, then reboot phone? Seeing as how you are on stock rom, don't worry about trying to flash gapps, that's for aosp based roms. You can also try to search for the latest play store app in the themes and apps forum and try to install it.
I've tried downloading and installing the Play Store but still nothing. I then tried flashing cm7.2.0 (what I'm running on my MT4G) and on the first boot it asks you if you have a Google account to sign into but it doesn't evenshow up. If you click on the Play Store if asks you "you must sign into Google" but after I click ok the app it shuts down.
I flashed Blackout ICS and finally have a working Play Store.

[Q] Google play crash after flashing to cm7.2

Hey friends,
I flashed to CM7.2 today from CM7.1 on my Motorola Defy and everything went fine. I used the stable release, and the latest relevant gapp-ics file.
After reboot was over, I tried to access Google Play, it asked me for my user and started loading. After a few seconds it crashed and ever since I'm getting a server error message and right afterwards it crashes saying "process com.android.vending has stopped unexpectedly".
Means I cannot connect with my google account and can't install any apps at the moment.
I tried reinstalling the mod again; reinstalling the gapp file; using an older gapp-ics file; clearing cache and date; rebooting; clearing malvik cache and what not!
Now I noticed that google search is crashing as well.
Any ideas anyone?
* I searched for a similar thread for quite a while, all ideas were unsuccessful.
Many thanks!

A very simple solution - flash GB gapps. You flashed ICS (CM9) gapps. Gingerbread is CM7.2/7.1.

have you tried to install a gb ggaps? cm7 is a gb not ics
There are some possible ways:
(1) Remove data of Google Play&Google Services Framework and after this, you may get stuck in launching Google Play(Server Error) and reboot and retry
(2) Launch GTalk first and launch Google Play
(3) If they don't work, reboot recovery and wipe DATA

With 923 - go to APPS > ALL > find Google play services/ Google Play Store and wipe all their data, force stop then reboot, give it two minutes and it should be OK. Google have been having issues with their servers over the last week or so and the Nexus range are having the same problems.
