Please help me i'm desperate i came from an iphone 4 and in the same car there is no comparison between between iphone an s4 i9505 italian version...
With iphone at the same volume level in the car the sound is powerfull and rich of bass. With S4 the sound sucks is less powerfull and soft bass.
I googled the web and i find many peoples mods their S4 reaching oustanding sound quality and power but for me is like arab to follow this mode.
I have a stock rom no pc no odin just a fu cking mackbook so i can't flash tweak mod anything.
I find viper4android purex volumeboost moderate but i really don't understand nothing how to use this files...
Seems i need odin or a rooted device...
Please really help me there is not a simple player or apk can improve power and sound quality of my S4 without hard mods flashing custom roms ect...
Please Please Please !!!

Are u connecting it through bluetooth or a aux cable? If through aux, have u tried messing with the adapt sound funtion? U can find it under sound on system settings..

Yes i set also the adapt sound wich made the sound better and fuller but no comparison with the oustanding sound of iphone 4...
I have a chevy camaro with a superior boston system. If i turn the iphone to max volume and the car at the max volume is like beeing in a disco. If i do the same with the S4 is a delusion no enough power coming out compared to iphone at max volume. And my impression is also the bass are stronger with iphone at the same level.
I would like to reach the same max volume output. There is a way to do with the stock rom?
If you root your device you can edit the default_gain.conf file to give extra volume.

Go back to iPhone *shrugs*
I thought many have praised the S4 for its audio, I guess I'd better check out if I am right on that. Dunno about output volumes though.

Yes you lose warranty but not forever. You can roll back to a that will allow you to use warranty.
I'm not sure about ios.

Hi,
It is kind of really annoying, the sound (earphone) isn't lound enough, I really like when it is loud. I do have good earphone, on my iPad, it can be so much loud that I could get deaf. Anything to fix ? I've tried 3 differents Volume Booster on the Google Market and it makes a little louder but still not enough and break all the sound quality.
Thanks you ! I'm runing Stock 4.1.1
Anyone plase?

Hmm I see :/ Can't we somehow fix that ? Is it only Nexus 7 or all Android Tablets?
I really dont care about speaker, but I was expcting something good from my hearphone

Nope, it is what it is. It sounds like you already tried something like Volume+ to boost the volume. It helps a little, but it starts sounding bad if you crank it too high and you could possibly damage it too. I have Volume+ set to 7, which gives a bit of a boost without messing up the audio much.
Yeah I see :/ Is it a hardware limit or software related?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I think it's hardware since every software hack to make it louder gives a little boost and then it sounds like crap.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Oh well that sucks :/ Why didn't google bother to use a good sound card for headphone
What if I use Blutooth hearphone? Is it going te be as great as an iPad?

Really Why not
It's not necessarily hardware, my asus transformer had low volume, then an os update sorted that all out. Have you tried out different apps to see if the problem is there on all of them. I noticed that netflix volume is pretty low but youtube is fine. It's a bit of a pain to do, but it might be worth backing up your apps and trying a factory reset.
Oh well I change rom so often that it will unlikely change anything

Unless you use Bluetooth speakers. I had a Logitech Boombox arrive today. Works great.
Before rooting, I'd like to ask any N3 users who have used both in the title, which is preferable?
I'd rather not root, but if Viper audio is awesome on a N3, I'd like to hear about it? If it's only just ok, I'd rather stay stock for now, and do my best with Power amp.
Opinions appreciated.

It's an audio player design is the last thing that matters. I find the UI great and the interface is very easy to use.
There is a trial version on Google play, you can try it before making any decisions .

Hi all,
I got a stock T-Mobile LG G2 (802). My screen stays black when somebody's calling me. I can hear the ring tone and the led is flashing but thats it. When i manually wake up the phone I still don't see the dialer and have to pull down the Quicksetting bar (or ow to call it?) and tap 'answer call' there. No need to tell you that I lose most of my calls that way.
Can't seem to find a solution on the web. Anyone else experiences this problem?
Thanks

Didn't have this, don't know how to help you but for now you can activite the incomeing call answer in setting under general in gesture option.

Yeah me too. Stock KitKat d802 20b with root + twrp + soundmod.
Really bad bug imho.
Anyone?
Please people... This should be quite easy to test.
Just make yourself a call and check for screen wakeup delay.
For me it is 2 or 3 seconds before the display is on.
On AOSP this is not present

I have done a clean install of stock kitkat (that one with modded kernel to support recovery and root), and the problems still arises. Maybe:
1) you have a different software (jb? Aosp?)
2) you dont classify as lag the 2 seconds delay
3) the hw variant may count?? (I have intl d802)
4) you lie xD
Is there anyone here who flashed kitkat on international d802 with original kdz file AND is affected from this bug?

Problem partially solved on my t-mobile 802.
The kitkat update i got on monday the 25th of march was the solution. There still is a small delay of 2 seconds before the caller id shows on the screen but thats nothing compared to the complete blackness pre-update.
Anyone else got this problem solved this way?
Off-Topic: Other improvements I noticed 'Knock on' works 4/5 times instead of 2/4. (Way) better power management and the typing is more responsive as is the phone as a whole.

Yeah +1 for the improvements, but regarding knockon there is still some road to do before it can be considered as a replacement for hw key.

I searched around for a mod that will handle the volume sound increase. Has anyone came up with a mod? The sounds on my tab 4 7.0 sucks.

Having the save problem on my sprint tab 4, the volume seems limited I plug it up to speakers at work and the output is not nearly as high as when I connect my note 3 to the speakers. It's frustrating and would like a fix for this, I thought about rooting it then using root explorer and see if I could mood the max output but haven't tried it yet.

That could wreck your speakers or headset entirely, so I would be very cautious.
I personally think the G6 has pretty loud speaker audio, and if that's not enough, get a Bluetooth speaker. You don't want to render your phone's speakers useless by overblowing them.
