BRICKED USERS GUIDE.......
First you need to know that this guide is trying to help you..
I cannot take any responsibility for your brick getting harder ....
.....IGNORE ALL WHO SAID NOT TO WASTE THEIR TIME .....
....... The poll was for a different post related to emmc bug where i suggested a workaround for the emmc bug , which I edited several times....
There are three types of bricks for N7000
a) Soft Brick - Stuck at Samsung Logo [Added BootLoop here]
b) Super Brick - Stuck at flashing Factoryfs.IMG in ODIN . Also called as EMMC Bug....
c) Hard Brick - Sorry Unrecoverable by this guide. Try THIS
d) Dead Brick - No charging battery sign also - Mostly = Hard Brick ; But there is a window of possibility by a JIG.
e) OTA Brick - A rare kind of Soft Brick which people have encountered due to updating OTA on a rooted Stock ROM.
f) CM12 Brick - A Brick I and another XDA Mate encountered when CM12 encountered a /data write error. Worst is ODIN Flashing Fails .....
CM12 Brick
CM12 Brick
Error Details : Flashing JB Kernel in ODIN Fails ...
Received Response from LOKE FLashing Failed ....
a) Download the PIT file
b) Flash in Odin
c) After SUCESSFULLY Flashing Pit File
d) Flash ICS KERNEL (SPEEDMOD KERNEL) USING ODIN
e) Now go to Recovery and Flash your Favorite Philz Kernel
SOFT BRICKS
I will try to describe ways to get Soft Bricked so that you can compare.....
You have messed with the system file. Remember the Blue Screen of windows.
==> 1. Deleting any system file .odex
==> 2. Moving from GB or ICS to CM/AOSP/AOKP Roms without following instructions or vice versa
==> 3. Flashing incomplete ROMS (did not check MD5 - Google it How to check)
==> 4. Flashing an incompetent kernel (oh I didnt read instructions)
==> 5. Many other methods
==> 6. JB BootLoop
Now you have to return to normal state. But beware there is a emmc bug which is going to interfere our correction process. Oops ! It hurts. There is no safe way as on date for ICS except there are Safe Kernels Claimed.
Pray to your favorite god or luck or better pray even if you are an atheist.
RECOVERY STYLE 1 : [ODIN]
GINGERBREAD VERSION
1) Use ODIN
2) Uninstall Samsung KIES. It interferes with the ODIN flashing.

I will try to describe ways to get OTA Bricked (very rare)
a) Installed the OTA for ICS ROM Indian Version LPA on a rooted ROM.
Some thing has messed up with your .odex files and you get force closes or Stuck at Samsung LOGO
1) ODIN Method
a) go to Download Mode (Power Button + Vol down + Home)
b) Flash the ICS ROM posted in Dr.Ketan Thread in the PDA
Remember that options are ticked according to this image.
Donot tick repartition.
You can root it by Heading to Dr Ketans thread.
2) CWM Method (Custom Firmware - Closest to LPA ROM)
a) go to Download Mode (Power Button + Vol up + Home)
b) Flash the ROM close to LPA without any Reset or Wiping.
This will endup with a custom ROM Clea Note (LPA Rooted)
END :highfive: SUPER BRICK :highfive:
Dude, that's really sad. You should've gotten your girl her presents before repairing. It's not her fault you flashed custom ROMs.

sorry, i don't mean to criticize your method but...
if your eMMC is already dead or corrupted, how is this method gonna revive the note??
I got my Note connected to PC Odin (when it was superbricked) once which I could not replicate again.
Since I got it connected anybody else would by the above procedure.
I always believe that Software Problems can be solved by tweaking Softwares; not by replacing the motherboard; I did it once but I missed How I did it.

I like optimists, but I hate to see them when they fail
superbrick is when the portion to which ROM gets written is fried due to the bug.
AND, JTAG JIG is different from micro USB JIG.
While I appreciate your gesture to trying help others, wrong information is unwelcome. Also, even if you are able to connect to PC odin after everything, this method does not tell how to make it flash the ROM.
Thanks anyway.
From a bricked user who tried everything to resurrect the note but failed.
Corrected My Post about JTAG (I am not a perfectionist and please allow unintented mistakes)
But I got connected once to PC Odin.
Were you able to connect it ??
Did you try the method posted above while using the JIG ?
You are right !! This method will be OK till PC Odin.

I did when my Note got bricked, and it didn't help one little bit.
I wrote this because I got connected to PC Odin after the Black Screen.

We should somehow be able to connect it to PC.

I understand your intenstions, but eMMC is fried (i/o bug which might allow excess voltage while wiping or corrupting NAND) no one knows what the reason is yet, but all we know is the partition where the ROM gets written to get corrupted and hence you cannot flash any ROM onto it, no matter what you do!
eMMC Bug which will allow excess voltage damaging the ROM . Thats Frying ....
Thats Poor Hardware right ??
But we dont know what's the BUG. Coz had we known we could have corrected it.

You found your way out of a situation caused by the Repack Rom, not by the LPY one.
LPY bricks seem to do physical damage to your EMMC chip, so connecting your
Note to the PC will do no good. PC Odin flash will fail because of the damaged EMMC blocks.
There's a lot of bricked users who can get into Download and/or Recovery mode,
but ALL their flashes still fail. See this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653290
I fear the Note community will be remembering this LPY debacle for a long, long time. There's no known cure for now.

Please dont think I am pulling too hard. May be if Emmc is getting damaged why not replace Emmc chip instead of the whole motherboard. I got my Motherboard replaced..

I really have no idea. Samsung service guys even tried JTAG my device, but the whole thing conked off while JTAG and they replaced my device under warranty.
So if a JTAG could not restore my phone, how would I know if flashing repetitively would help. Anyway, I am glad it worked for someone, and I get a feeling that we would soon be finding some solution to this plague!
Please watch this thread and Post your success / parted snapshots here.

Hi Everyone
Got myself in a bit of a situation, Went to install the latest Helly Bean Rom Downloaded the file with the big button and put it on my external sd card, followed the step by step untill...
Install instructions:
coming from any other rom:
- make sure to have gingerbread bootloaders
- wipe data/factory reset
- flash allinone.zip
- reboot recovery
- flash allinone.zip again
- flash Helly_Bean_AddOn or Helly_Bean inverted AddOn ......here when i realized i hadn't got the file furthermore the file i have is named
helly_bean_initial.zip I couldn't find the other file and now my phone just bootloops.
Please give help me get the phone working again I don't know what to do and im panicking.

Thankyou xsenman that sounds simple enough,:fingers-crossed:
Well that worked great its now installed and the new rom looks sweet.
Problem i have now is im getting "An invalid IMEI number could cause network issues including the inability to call" anyone seen this before ?
Just found this :
Everyone is having IMEI problems, here is how you fix it.
1) Get ES file explorer or root explorer
2)Look in sdcard/backup/efs
3)Copy nv_data.bin, nv_data.bin.md5 and nv.log to /efs.
4) Reboot and enjoy!
Ill post back after gym if it works =D
That should work. Actually a friend of mine had similar issue with his phone but from what I know this solution helped him to get rid of the problem
Typed with my I9001
tryed the above fix with astro manager from recovery and after file copy and reboot i still get imei error.
thanks for the post ruthlessrat, its good to know someone else has tried the above fix and its worked for them maybe others who stuble across this thread may be able to use it although i can confirm it did not work for me.
I'm assuming my nv_data.bin, nv_data.bin.md5 and nv.log were bad, I'm looking into a imei fix here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881162 Hopefully this will resolve the last issue.
Edit: Good news I've got another phone to cover me for a while so I can work on getting this phone set up
how i want it, I think i may need to return to a stock rom, will this restore the imei ?
Edit2 : Reinstalled Gapps from thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796675 this time its worked and Google play is now working fully so ive installed titanium backup and a few other applications that may come in use.
In the meantime alternate imei fixes and any advice would be useful on other cool features / functionality unique to JB. Thankyou to everyone again without the assistance it would have taken me allot further to get to this point.

Funny you should suggest that ive come across your thread, thanked, rated 5 and believe it should be newsworthy that thread could turn into a real noob's guide, I like it very much. I tried the first suggestion of copying the files , afraid it didn't work.
Second to that i tried this :http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=JqLK_2I-SBM
but unfortunately my nv_data.bin is pure "FF" in the hex editor so I assume this is some kind of default setting? anyone know ?
I am now going to try..
you can start from the beginning.. go back to GB 2.36 (use a JVU ROM + Root, upgrade to ICS CM 9 and than to CM10
Solution for i9000 on JB:-Try not to jump from Gingerbread to Jellybean, as all upgrades should be done progressively. meaning you need to be on a GB 2.3.6> than into ICS and finally into JB.
I'm going to use GB 2.3.6 from sammobile.com
Can anyone recommend an ICS rom ?
following this I will flash Helly Bean latest nightly again.
Edit: Well Ive flashed back to 2.3.6 JVU & used the JVU CF - Root which works great, Ive backed up my rom and ets folder ready for jellybean the problem is when running through the installation ui it gets stuck on the final " Helly Bean installed" screen after making your software selections,
When I click next to finish it just hangs and the phone becomes completely unresponsive. at this point Ive removed battery and restarted but alas I'm still on cf rooted gingerbread. I don't understand why as it worked fine before.
Ive tried clearing both cache's and reset, this made no difference.
Ive also reinstalled stock rom, re flashed CF-Root & Tried again with no success.
I'm going to look into ICS roms and post back.

Trying to fix CM9 atm keep getting "installation aborted (Bad)"
Fixed/Update : Move files to internal storage, Installed latest CM9, Downloading CM10 Nightly
Update 2 : CM10 Nightly installed works great & GAPPS latest version from goo.im.
Thanks again xsenman without you this would have been allot longer process, I really appreciate it !
Thread End.
Hi,
I got the N7100 on launch day, and rooted using CWM, leaving my phone with a 'custom' recovery, which is noted on the download boot mode.
Now that triangleaway supports the N7100 I thought I would try and get it less dodgy looking which still rooted.
When I ran triangle away, it warned that a custom bootloader / recovery might leave the counter on 1 even after away'ing the triangle...
So I thought I would use mobile Odin Pro to flash stock rom, injecting SU and mobile odin (as i did many times on my note 1).
This failed (using rom N7100XXALJ1_N7100OXXALJ1_BTU) - it verified the MD5 ok, and rebooted into a screen ive never seen before, containing a large blue Android figure with a lightening bolt on his chest. I personally thought he looked a little unhappy as well...
Anyway, first time this happened, i used desktop odin to do a full flash, which fixed it (but increased my custom counter more since I rerooted with CWM+root).
Second time it happened, i fixed it by just re-flashing CWM.
Anyone else had success with Mobile Odin on the N7100 ??? do you think it was the CWM install that it didnt like ?
Im unsure how to flash just the recovery, and am a bit confused between the relationship between the boot image and the recovery one... i wouldnt have expected the recovery image to affect normal boot, but it does.
George
UPDATE - The blue android is actually the mobile odin pro logo... gonna try again and be a little more patient...
...you....fool
Left it 10 mins, and still stuck on blue android screen... gonna try flashing from sd card rather than internal card in case its that...
luckly reflashing cwm6-root-note2.tar from odin fixes it...
Also tried flashing from external sd, and that also failed.
Does anyone know how Chainfire likes issues to be reported?
thanks
George
You can get answer your some question here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1930418
Is that blue android screen not doing anything at all?
I was the one who tested this app prior to its release (on behalf of chainfire who didn't have the phone at that time), I flashed from internal and external without issue.
What is it your flashing exactly? Your not listing it as a OTA/Update.zip are you?
Try to delete the Mobile Odin file off the root of your sd card and open the app again, it will then re-download the files it needs, try it then.
A few other users have reported the exact same problem, and I am pretty sure it will be related to the problem of Triangle Away not always booting up.
Something fishy is still going on with recoveries, and we're not sure what. I can't replicate the problem on my device - at all - so I can't fix it either.
Maybe it has something to do with bootloader version? It seems some people/firmwares have different bootloaders than others and can cause various problems.
What I find strangest is that the Mobile ODIN logo does show up ... that's just weird. Can you use the attached version of Mobile ODIN (its an older version that does not support the Note2) to create a dump file for your device, so I can compare it with the dump files from working devices? It may offer a clue.
EDIT: Download removed, dump made and received.
Dumping...
Hi Chainfire,
Thank you for the response im impressed by your commitment to making our devices better ...
Im doing a dump now [fnarr fnarr] and will make it available to you as soon as its done.
I presume it will be quite large if it takes 30 mins to upload - shall I pm you or email you the dropbox link where i plan to put it?
LennyUK - im flashing what is supposed to be (and in fact is) the latest official rom - i believe its the original shipped rom + an OTA that the UK got. Not sure if it comes from Samsung or its been hacked together from the OTA + original rom. It was downlaoded from sammobile (as i always did with my note 1). Its a tar file (.md5) containing a bunch o f.img files and modem.bin. Im not convinced the N7100 mobile odin flash kernel was corrupted - i would expect CF does a checksum of some sort... ill await his response to my dump.
ps. Why doesnt XDADevelopers email notification work
cheers
George

EDIT: Dump received and removed, thanks.
had the same problem when trying to flash the exchange hack.
used pc odin to upload CWM and this made my phone boot again
Hi, for the record, i tried triangleaway, and ... it booted into it OK, and ran the procedure to reset the counter...
and its worked... I now get
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: No
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
im guessing the custom is due to CWM recovery...

Weirdness. It appears your cache partition is borked (its 10 MB instead of 1.5 GB ?!). This could explain the following problems people have reported:
- Mobile ODIN showing the logo but doing nothing else
- Triangle Away breaking recovery
Try flashing the attached cache file in (desktop!) ODIN, then try Mobile ODIN, Triangle Away, etc again. Problem should be solved then - please do let us know, several people are having this problem.
It's a ZIP file, extract once so you end up with a TAR file, put that in ODIN. If you end up with an IMG file, you extracted twice!
EDIT: Note: after flashing this image you will probably automatically boot into recovery - this is expected, just press power to reboot normally.
Hi,
Thank you... flashed the cache.zip, and it rebooted to the Galaxy Note II screen, then rebooted, over and over again...
so I reflashed the rooter, (cwm6-root-note2.tar) which DOES include flashing the cache, so maybe thats got a broken cache in it ? (the reflash fixed it)
odd...
Ive attached to rooting tar ive been using with the strange (but working...) cache file...

Yes, I confirm it is definitely the cwm6-root-note2 package that messes up your device. I've checked it out - its the cause for all the problems with Mobile ODIN and Triangle Away. It breaks the cache partition on your phone ( dr.ketan ... )
The reason flashing the fixed cache.tar didn't immediately fix your problems was because you still had a messed up recovery, so you also needed to flash a recovery, which you did now again with the cwm6 package. However, your cache is again broken. So now, *again* apply cachefix, and all should be good, and you should be able to use Mobile ODIN and Triangle Away.

the issue that i have acer iconia a500 that have i lately upgraded it to ice cream sandwich .. i did rooted it but actually after i upgraded it to ice cream sanwitch the wifi went terrible and only work 20 cm from the router .. if i go far than that it read out of range .. i tried to flash the boat loader to install other rooms to fix that wifi issue with no way .. as every time i load a room in the SD and sure i rename the folder to update.zip ... power off and volume down .. just a second the system start loading and then a sign of an android logo with a red triangle above it .. other guys recommend that i should first unlock my loader by ( Flashing a Patched Bootloader to the Acer Iconia A500 ) a thousand time i tried that according to the video on youtube but i can't log into APX mode .. i gone mad .. appreciate your help !

You do not need to rename anything dude, You should have installed a custom recovery if you flashed a rom already before, you go back to recovery, then go to the option to select zip from sdcard, find and select the file, that is it.
The android error screen you described is the stock recovery.
Also once you install one of the latest CWM recovery you can easily flash the bootloader.
how i can install recovery on original stock ????

This is from another thread HERE.....b4 u do anything GET YOUR CPUID - please ask if anything is not clear
You may need to root first so u can delete the file at step 2
1. get yr cpuid and save it multiple places open a file explorer and go to /sys/firmware/fuse/acer_cpuid
2. then go to /system and rename/delete the "recovery-from-boot.p" file - this will prevent your custom recovery being overwritten with the stock recovery.
3. have your custom rom on yr ext SD card, ready to flash ONCE you've flashed the unlocked bootloader
4.To flash the v8 bootloader you need to use nvFlash and there are a couple ways if going about that...
a) manually by using the guide in the OP of civato's BL thread
b) using one of the auto tools like afterOTA or apxFlash - links also in that same post...
c) you'll also get to pick a custom recovery and it will be flashed at the same time - cwm 1.7.3 is recommended until you're running stable
d) From yr cpuid - generate yr sbk - how to do that is in the same OP
5) once flashed, boot straight to recovery
6) Do a nandroid backup then the wipes
7) Flash the rom
8) Reboot to recovery and wipe again
9) Job Done!
notes:
Everything you need to do this is in civato's BL OP - sorry can't post the link but its stickied in the Dev Forum
[GUIDE]A500/501/G100W-Installing ICS V8 UNL-BL & CWM Or back to HC BL(24-6-2012)
the afterOTA tool,
- saves all yr uid details etc in a txt file
- flashes v3 bootloader -
- it also installs the needed drivers too
- its pretty good at what it does...
seems some are having wifi issues with jellytime but the dev is working on this
you've done the right thing by asking questions before attempting anything, wish everyone was like you...if my post isn't clear then please let me know....for those of us used to the way things work with our Acer, its hard to remember how difficult it seemed when we were new!!
good luck

i am going crazy for weeks now i am just trying to unlock my boot loader in-order to flash another Rom .. but can't log into recovery always same dam android with the yellow triangle and now another curse with this file that can't be deleted !!!
just tell me how i can overcome that curse and go into recovery by any mean .. some guys tell me that i have to write some command in the lynx language to pass that war )
any advices !! :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
your root is broke
It sounds like your 'root' is broke or you havent mounted system as writable in order to have any changes stick...so
download the zip file attached to this post...ICSRoot by blackthund3r
extract the files and run the .exe - once its done REBOOT your tab
I'm not sure of this root manager you spoke of...????
Most file explorers will have a setting that enables you to 'write' and make changes to the /system partition - so make sure this setting is enabled...Superuser should pop up and ask if you want to 'grant' your app 'permission' if you don't see this then:
check superuser app is installed on your tab,
You are on the Stock ICS bootloader you cannot use Acer Recovery Installer to install your recovery....you need the v8 first ok?
So root yr tab with ICS root, REBOOT and then run nvFlash to install your recovery/BL
still unable to install another recovery

oh dear...I'm sorry you're having so much trouble flashing a recovery...
a couple if things first -
1. everytime u update to a newer version then u WILL LOSE ROOT!
2. you cannot use the acer recovery installer on ics
3. wifi on stock ics is known for being problematic
4. flashing the unlocked bl/recovery Must be done in specific order if u don't follow the steps exactly it won't work
so, you can try a complete factory reset of yr tab by using the option in settings>backup and restore....u will lose all yr data and settings - but yr wifi should work....for awhile at least....
as far as flashing the unlocked bl goes - there s a guide in my sig how to
your other option is to rollback to HC using tdv4_rollback rom a link to that is also in the guide
,
im outta suggestions but wish u luck in getting itsorted

Your first hurdle to overcome is to delete that file you need to delete that file that causes the stock recovery to be restored. No point in doing anything beyond getting the files you need ready and getting the Acer drivers installed.
Are you using root explorer to delete that file? You need to click the button at the top that remounts the file system as r/w, by default the file system is mounted as r/o and will not allow you to make changes.
If that does not work, do me a favor: download this root check tool from the play store:
http://tinyurl.com/d6tj85a (Play Store link to root checker basic - free app)
That utility will check that the su binary is installed and that permissions are set. Give that tool a run and report back to us so we can get you running!

You do not need to delete "recovery-from-boot.ICSRootBackup.p" the root tool has renamed the boot.p file for you not sure why you cannot delete it though sounds strange!
Go take a look here at this guide and see if it helps any: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2049778
If you are using apxFlash tool go to the "Bundle Market" on the first screen and choose "Bundle No. 17" this is V8 bootloader with cwm 1.7.3 theres a good guide here showing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32905041&postcount=20

Hello to all.
I have a cell DEFY MB525 and he was flashing a ROM with brick and was wrong. With white led. I looked at various threads here in this forum, I discovered how to revive using a ROM BL7 the DEFY MB526.
However coming back to the original ROM MB525, or any other rom, the phone brick. Appearing white led.
I can not use the ROM BL7 Defy MB526, because I can not customize with a modified rom (cyanogemod for example) and worse and that many features of the device are in trouble, such as wifi, bluetooth connections.
One of the most common problems in using the MB526 is a ROM that the device is restarting all the time.
To advance, I'll tell you what I did:
I tried all the ROMS BL7 site (4.5.1-134)
I tried to put a ROM BL7 then a Chinese ROM:
JDGC_U6_2.12.0_SIGNED_USAJRDNPRCB1B50AA039.0R_JORDANGCCORE_P013_A033_HWp3_Service1FF
Another Chinese Rom:
JDGC_U6_2.13.0_SIGNED_USAJRDNPRCB1B50AA039.0R_JORDANAPCNCU_P017_A042_M006_HWp3_Service1FF
And in both tests the phone brick.
I also tried several of the rooms MB525 (not all, but I'll still try ...)
I also tried to install a custom rom MB526:
cm10.Quarx24.09.Defy + red.fixed.sbf
In addition to some custom roms the MB525:
FroyoCEE_cm7.2_2.3.7
Froyo-MIUIandroid.2.4.20-fixed
Froyo-cm9.epsylon-27.06.12.bl4-fixed
froyo.cm10.JB.Quarx.24.09Defy.red.green.bl4.fixed
However .. all attempts brick the phone.
There is finally a way back for any rom MB525, preferably one ROOT to customize with Android 4.0 and use multiple languages?
Once you flash a higher BL version, there's no turning back! You are now stuck with BL7 SBF's only. You should have read the "All-in-one Defy Beginers' gide" by Zephyrot beforehand.

So ...
Excuse my ignorance. I believe that some procedures should have a minimum of knowledge. Thanks Aurius!
I've plotted a plan to recover and am following with a mix of topics from the forum.
I managed to do the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1595013
And with this I could install Boot to install custom roms
Also unable to access the custom boot and install:
cm-7-20130301-NIGHTLY-Jordan or CM10-20120924-NIGHTLY-mb525
The problem is that if I install "cm-7-jordan" the phone never leaves the logo "M" .. and if I install CM10-Nightly-mb525 the phone is stuck in "cyanogen logo"
I've tried making various wipes .. the normal boot ... by custom boot without success ..
Not to mention that I'm still with the problem of direct restart the phone.

I installed a customized version:
CM9-NIGHTLY-Defy-121116
And this happened:
* The first time was more than 5 minutes at Cyanogen logo and not charged;
* I removed the battery, waited a bit and then called .. al entered the Android .. I was very happy when I first saw one andoid 4.0 and also on entering settings and see that the name of the phone is MB525 .. however when it restarted tinker a bit ..
* After reboot, it got stuck again in the Cyanogen logo. I removed the battery .. I waited a bit and then charged;
* After loading test the camera was OK, tested the WIFI and it does not work!;
I believe this is the way .. install a custom rom and fix all possible problems that will have as Camera, GPS, Bluetooth.
What is the rom the MB525 which is more stable?

Hello to all .
In particular the user avi_tandel conversation I managed to evolve a bit more and now have a phone with Android 4 ( CM10 ) .
So with that, I will explain here for those who are going through what I went through, how to get out of this problem
Step 1 - Install Rom BL7
I installed the rom ( 1 - DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_CN_SIGN_UCADEFYEMARAB1B50AA009.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNGIBRIRD15_P015_A030_Service1FF) that is in the link:
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=27
Step 2 - Install a Rom Rooted
I installed this one , the post below :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1595013
Step 3 - Wipe Data / Cache
Step 4 - Turn off your phone and see if it is charging the phone if yes .. leave the phone with 100 % load
Step 5 - Load Firmware Booted , skip the initial setup and habilte the USB Debugging option.
Step 6 - Via computer, install the 2nd Int
Step 7 - Restart the phone and when the blue LED appears, press Volume ( - )
Step 8 - Ext3 format ;
Step 9 - Wipe Data / Cache / Cache Davil
Step 10 - Install a custom Rom CM10 - 20120924 - NIGHTLY - mb525.zip
Step 11 - Install the GAPPS GAPPS gapps_update_2.3.5 - signed.zip
Step 12 - Reboot the machine and wait a long boot will be done (somewhere around 5-10 minutes). Important .. if the player does not leave the logo "M", turn off your phone, connect to the universal charger and wait to get up to 100% again. Then repeat the steps 7,8,9,10 and 11.
Step 13 - Your phone will load the Android 4.0, test all the features to make sure it's right.
Me I tested successfully:
* Camera photo and video;
* Sound recording;
* Wifi;
* GPS;
However I am facing some problems, I would like to see if it went through and how it resolved:
* Lots of slow to start and to use the telephone;
* Problems finding the band/net (can not make calls and send sms);
* Reset the device, the device restarts During the bootloader or after open Android;
* Catching some google apps;
Does anyone have any solution to some of my problems?
Thanks in advance:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Why are you installing an antique rom? Get the latest from the thread(quarx2k.ru, 30th October). Also format to ext4. Use baseband switcher in defy parts in settings for network. I did not understand "catching some Google apps"

You say to install this rom?
http://quarx2k.ru/cm10-2ndboot-nightly-defy (+) / cm-NIGHTLY 10-20131030-mb526.zip
She is not only DEFY (+) MB526? For this I installed another rom ...
About baseband, I think I know what it is .. roted as the firmware that is installed Chinese it comes configured with the wrong baseband. I just still can not test because the phone is restarting all the time.
About "Catching some google apps", some googles apps like maps, search, are giving error.

Model is irrelevant for recent roms. First, format to ext4(no reboot). Wipe system, data and cache before flashing rom and gapps.

Oh my god ... there is no miracle to make this my phone work. :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
I tried exactly what happened and said several things:
* Bootloader caught in the logo "M";
* Boot Loop, always to shine brighter the logo cyanogem;
* Charged the system, but it did not work Wifi and a message appeared saying that the phone was faulty and needed to be rebooting. After this, I restarted the phone and the same message appeared. After skipping the initial settings of android, the phone keeps resetting ..
I'm desperate .. already spent several thoughts about this phone, how to break it, burn it, stepping on top, throw on the wall, among others .. but I managed to keep me calm and believed that one day I will fix this unit.:angel::angel:
Help me please .. I know that the options are not exhausted!
Data wipe from stock recovery, use minimal gapps( banks core gapps(the smallest size) and the correct one for your android version). If data reset occurs on ext4 after a clean install(no boot loop) then it must be a hardware problem

Hey .
I did exactly what you said and now unable to run the system .
I am however a problem with the system displays the following message :
Telephony problem
A problem was detected in the phone 's telephony later . a reboot of the phone is required to repair the phone state . What do you want to do?
Perhaps for this reason , can not make calls and use 3g .
With regard to the problem of links tried updating the baseband using the file ( bbsV4.0mlV0.7.zip )
I selected multiple carriers ( Brazil ) and did not work .
I read on some forums that the " telephony problem" was enough to wipe cache and cache davil ... did not work .. but ..
The great news is that for now the phone is not restarting ..
And unfortunately , just broken my LCD , I'll have to buy another .. I left the device with the Motorola logo about 2 hours to see if it started .. and this has made the lcd generate a patch of dead pixels .
If anyone has any tips to solve the problem of this message help me !
Try a different rom, like cm 7. Start from sbf, and use the gapps from the cm7 thread. Try the freezer method to get rid of dead pixels

Hello to all .
Took me to post something because I wanted to test the most of the options that were given to me here in this forum .
I did the freezer method is unable to get a little touch of the damage . But still some stains .. unfortunately I will have to buy another . (No problem ) .
I tried to install CM7 as was instructed and managed for once to configure and test a few things that worked as WIFI , CAMERA , CAMCORDER ..
But .. as well as other customs roms , the problem of eliminating the logo " M" or keep restarting remains .
To be honest , I can only do something about this phone as follows :
* The night he let Loading and off for 10 hours or more;
* When you wake up and turn on my phone for about 2 .. 5 minutes I can do something .. eg rootting or start a custom rom that crashed in Cyanongen soon .
I made some videos to show rather than going to .. and as a result , once you've installed custom one room again , I'll make another video .
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz5W5nUB8BfUR1hMWi1fY0hfV2s/edit?usp=sharing (53 MB)
First video shows the installation of the Chinese ROM :
DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_CN_SIGN_UCADEFYEMARAB1B50AA009.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNGIBRIRD15_P015_A030_Service1FF
Realize that the process does not occur naturally , disconnect the phone and rsd lite never completes the process :
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz5W5nUB8BfUZmlhSGhsX0hoR2s/edit?usp=sharing (58 MB)
In the second video , I show the installation of the rooted rom :
firmware.sbf
The result is similar to the first video .
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz5W5nUB8BfUcHFEZlhVYUZ5Zms/edit?usp=sharing (22 MB - Play Online)
In the third video , I show a major problem, just stop in M. Notice that I can not do easily wipe .. wait only a few hours after the phone is 100 % charged .:crying::crying::crying:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz5W5nUB8BfUU2cyaURnSjZGYkE/edit?usp=sharing (28 MB)
In the fourth video, after waiting a bit, I managed to get into the stock recovery. Do wipes and restart the phone .. and as always .. does not work..Will only work if you leave the phone still loaded .. all night ..
I'm beginning to think that this phone is something physical, maybe a problem on the motherboard.
