I got the mk809 and it great but you cant stream any hd movies in 1080 over wifi but if u got ethernet connection then u can. I have attached a external harddisk to it via a usb hub and i got all kind of hd movies on and there is no problem at all. The only problem i faced was streaming hd over wifi where the movie lagged to much.
I love my mk809 and its good for the price which was around 50 pounds on ebay.

how does netflix and vudu feed 1080 then? or do you mean uncompressed stream?
What i was on about is streaming from my pc through wifi to tv in bedroom. I dont have netflix anymore as i dont feel its worth the 5 pounds a month for stuff i have already seen.

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a free video converter to convert media (wmv, mov etc) to play on the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Thanks
convert
I use Format Factory
converts to anything... you may want to ask which file format is best for the Tab... as I don't know.
I convert to 720x480 MP4... and it works well on mine... somebody on here may know a better size/setup

You can also use vplayer. Plays everything without the need to convert anything.

EncodeHD is good if you want something simple. Just choose the XBox or PS3 profiles.

I like DVD Catalyst 4. It encodes according to the profile you select so you can choose the Tab 10.1 or the Nexus S or whatever other device you have.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did try Handbrake but it completely screwed up on the conversion.
I am trying Kies now (I didn't know Samsung had such a program available until last night) but if not, I might just use a player that plays everything. It makes the most sense.
Thanks again

I really enjoy using Plex as well running on my WHS. They have made some really great improvements in the last couple updates.
I use a DVD Catalyst if I need the files to be stored on my Tab and Plex to stream.
Now that the gnote has a HD screen where can I get HD movies to watch on this beast?
As I now if I go into either Media Hub or Google Movies the HD option is not there as it would be for my tablet.
I would love to watch some HD programming on this thing!

Netflix, hulu, or icestream.
Convert your movies. Search HD in Youtube.

I never tried Netflix since I don't have a subscription to them.

sorry for asking but is that a link to Warez ??
Just rip movies as per usual into either MP4 or MKV and the Note will play it.
Google is your friend here regarding movie ripping (obviously as long as you own the original disc!).
I use a mixture of Anydvd HD and MediaEspresso, amongst other things.
Ps: Movie watching on the Note in 720p is absolutely STUNNING!
Nice. And forgive my ignorance but I download anydvd HD to my laptop and then what? I can put a blue ray disc into my laptop and it'll do the rest or do I need a laptop that can specifically read blue rays?
Otherwords at this time I know I can't put a bluray into my laptop and it'll play it.

I checked it out AnyDVD HD. So I answered my own question.
I do need a Blu Ray for the laptop which I dont have at this time.....

I spent some of the $25 google gave me on some play store stuff including, plex, bubbleUpnp, and already had imediashare. For rendering i've got n7, galaxy nexus and an un55d7050 tv. Media players include vlc, mx player, and weeded out a couple that I didn't have much luck with.
What works best for me, the easiest, and least amount of dicking around is a combination of MX Player and BubbleUpnp. I'm streaming from an NAS on my home lan and everythig else is visible on the lan.
To make this work you'll have to screw around with handbreak (or at least I had to) to figure out what codec works best depending on what your streaming and to which renderer.
Good Luck!
Edit/ Twonky Media Server works really good as well, installed to my NAS......Yup, everything these days is pretty much dlna capable.
Interesting in a undervolting, wanna app to stress test stability Nexus 7.
Im not a gamer so Shadowgun isnt option
SetCPU maybe, not good for a undervolting tegra 3 what about stress test section?

Hi on my galaxy s3 video player there is an option to stream any videos playing on the phone to my Xbox. I assume it does this using DNLA. Does any one know if there are any apps that will do the same on my nexus?
Thanks
Steve
Bubbleupnp works great
Thanks. I'll give it a try
I've installed bubbleupnp but for some reason I can't get it to find my Xbox.
Thanks
Steve
Working now. Your right it is pretty good
I would love device mirroring on the 7..
Will have to try this program.. video on the Xbox would be cool.
