Once a day it freezes and won't boot to save my life... Went into recovery and erased all data but that is only a temp fix... I thought this tablet was amazing but I've had nothing but issues the past 4 days... In afraid to exchange it and then it mess up on me after my 30 days is up and I'm stuck with a broken tablet.

It is called a warranty. That is what we use when we have issues. They repair or replace it, and then you are good to go again.

The only fix I've found is to reflash the stock image (or CM).
Something is wrong with the stock image which is why wiping isn't fixing it. It reboots and eventually bootloops one day.
Flash CM or download and reflash stock. You'll be amazed. I've got 4 guys who've done this and all are good now. I'm over 200 hours on CM and 180 before I manually rebooted.
Edit:
LoLz. Link above is one of the guys who fixed their tabs. I also made a thread about it to make it a little more obvious.

For the last week my nexus 7 has been completely dying around 50% battery. If its in sleep mode when it hits that % then it won't turn on, if I'm using it when I hit that % I get a weird flicker then it shuts off. This just seems extremely strange that all of a sudden only half my battery works. A long with only having half my battery to work with, it seems like the tablet has been charging a lot slower then normal. I use to be able to work it down all the time and usually didn't charge it until 5%-10%
Anyone else ever have this issue? I contacted Asus and there only solution right now was a factory reset. I cant see how that could fix the issue at all.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
are you rooted? what type of kernel are you using?
I have read that sometimes a factory reset refreshes the battery settings. Is your device rooted or rommed out?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
That happened to one of my friends S2's. Factory reset it. It worked for my friend. My N7 also charged really slow. I just changed the ROM. It is the same thing as a factory reset because you do one when you change your ROM.

With every electronic gadget using Lithium-ion batteries nowadays, it doesn't really matter how/when you charge it.
Some would argue to make sure to allow a full discharge from a full charge from a battery calibration point of view, so the battery meter is more accurate. It wouldn't affect the health of the battery itself either way.
Things like memory effect doesn't apply to lithium-ion. How often you charge it and how much you charge it (full or partial charge etc.) doesn't affect it much either. The only 2 things that can potential kill a lithium-ion is high temperature and letting it discharge far too low to the point that it cannot be charged up again. Note that all electronic devices will power off way before it even reaches this threshold.

Read this in a different thread when i was unboxing my nexus 7, i let mine sit for a while on the charger before i turned it on, but it came charged already. So far i have not let my nexus drain to 0% and the battery life on it is great, it can go for a entire day.

Sounds like it may be a corrupt download. Unless you plan to remain on the stock ROM just unlock/root it and then install what ever ROM you like.

You said your phone shuts off after hard use, and you said it is really hot when it shuts down. This sounds like a hardware problem. When the processor gets too hot, the device kills power to protect it from frying. Almost every computer has a similar last-resort power-off feature to protect its hardware.
Now the real question: What is making the device overheat? Most likely this is a hardware problem, but there is a remote possibility that the problem could be a rouge app.
A factory reset will remove the apps you installed. If there is an app running an infinite loop in the background, a factory reset might fix the problem. (I remember you said you are running stock without root, so there are no firmware issues. The only possible software issues are with your apps.)
I am sorry to say that you might have a defective board.

But why start doing that after a month of using it? The only new I did was using the maps app for more than 4hours... A friend toll me to clear cache on map apps...

If the problem really is hardware, it was a defect that made it past quality control. It's the same reason why a new hard drive might fail after a week of usage--infant mortality. Infant mortality is quite rare, but it does happen nevertheless.
Fortunately, Google's replacement procedure is quite nice compared to most other companies. If Google sends you a replacement, you can keep your existing phone until the replacement arrives. This way, you are not left without a phone temporarily.
Update! Did a factory reset and root it and it's good now! Looks like an app was causing the rebooting... Thanks for the help!

I had this problem on my tf300t. I am running kitkat omnirom and cm11. I can run either.
The sleep of death was 100% caused by a faulty sd card. Not sure if it was file(s) or the card. Fixed the problem in both Omni and CM.
Backup your card to your computer.
Erase/Format it using the system you are on.
Verify that the SOD problem is gone.
That has happened several times to me too. Completely stock. Formatted about 3 weeks ago. Has not done it until just now. went to check it and it won't come on. Have to wait til I get home and put it on the charger. I just charged it last night. Maybe I didn't connect it right. Well update when I know for sure.

Ouch. $92 that's abit expensive. Perhaps you should had consider to topup abit more to get a new Memo FHD 16GB. It is about $250 at amazon.
I just got an email from Asus. I wil not pay $200 to repair an out of warranty tablet, when I can buy the exact same model from Frys for the same amount. They said the motherboard needs to be replaced. It took them one full week and 3 phone calls to get this quote in the first place. They told me that it was diagnosed on Feb 14.
I seriously doubt I will buy anything from Asus again. I was told that it would cost $92 to fix it. I will not spend that kind of money on an item that could break the minute I get it back as they do not even warranty their own repairs. This tablet was nice while I had it, but it was not the greatest either.
Hi guys,
I recently bought a Google Nexus 4. Great device! But now I have a problem with the touch screen I guess.
I have some ghost touches on the screen. They are always on the same places.
To be more specific, on the same X-as of the screen. 3 to 5 touches in horizontal direction, swiping and touching the screen.
It's not always there, that's what's bothering me.. what is gods name could it be...
I'll add a screenshot of the touches when I get a chance to...
I have this problem for about a week now. And I was wondering if someone knows the solution to this.
ROM: Cyanogenmod 10.1.2
Cheers,
Alexander

I have installed the custom rom the moment I got this device. It didn't happen before.. So I doubt it is a software problem. I'd rather think of it as a hardware problem, don't you think?
No-one?
If it started on custom Rom then flash back to stock to see if it still happens. If not then there you go.
If still happens even on stock then RMA the device.

Untill now it is reacting normal.. Let's wait and see.

Because it has no Gapps installed yet. Downloading at the moment.

Ok, The CM10.2 did not work. I disabled auto backup and recovery of Google settings and stuff and flashed the Stock ROM 4.2.2.
Also there was an official update to 4.3. And surprisingly enough, the device is responding normal again. Still though, i think it was very strange that the problem was also in the recovery...
