what is screen standby?
is there a screen standby option in system settings anywhere? how do I get there?
my very unstable HDMI connection causes my tablet screen to go into screen "standby mode" when I move the micro HDMI plug while its already connected to my n10. the screen goes quite dark when this mode happens, and so does my TV screen cus its mirrors it
Do you mean: settings -> display -> slepmode?

I don't have sleep mode in my settings, just sleep and daydream so that's not it
Try setting Sleep to max possible and turning off Daydream.

when my screen goes into standby mode while trying to connect my unstable micro HDMI port to my tablet, everything on my tablet screen goes almost black except the soft keys that still shine bright, and this is mirrored on my TV.
anyone?

Just got a dock for my g2. I use my phone as an alarm. I use nightwatch for a dim bedside clock. But...the soft keys (home/menu/back/search) are on full bright ALL NIGHT lighting up my entire room, and giving my wife more of a reason the press a pillow into my sleeping face...is there a program, or a setting I'm missing to turn those effers off when charging? Help...please
What rom are you using?

I have mine permanently off, so idk how much this might help you.
I did it from cm settings > display > auto backlight > edit other levels, and then set buttons to 0.
The "Screen Filter" app from the Android Market has an option to turn off the key backlight.

Hey guys, I could use some help. I use my tablet in my truck as a media player and as my phone through Tablet Talk. I have the power cord plugged in at all times when I am using it in there. The problem I am having is after the set time, say 1min, the screen dims. I have ot set to stay awake when plugged in. I dont want it to dim at all. Does anyone have any sort of app or know of anyway to keep it form doing this
I use screebl pro which keeps your tablet awake when you have it at certain angles which could be adjusted. I like it when I am reading because I don't need to change the display in settings.

Hi everyone, im having issues about Brightness on my S4, It goes down automatically for a few seconds and it's really annoying, im not using Automatic brightness, screen mode is on "Standard" not even on "Adapt display" and I already unchecked "Auto adjust screen tone" too...so...I don't really know if this is an Omega ROM issue or just the cellphone itself...can anyone please tell me if someone is having this same issue? It happens everytime and on any app...
Thanks a lot!

Nop...I dont have those things either...is like the screen is dimming but is not, bright goes low for a few seconds...idk...
Bright goes low for just a few seconds and it goes up again if you are touchong the screen? For me it sounds like timeout. My screen is also dimming after a few seconds.

hi,noticed today on only 30-50 percent brightness if i go to messaging app and then press back if you watch carefully the brightness lowered/display flickers for half second like its on autobrightness or something only on 30-50. software issue? or bad unit?as the time passes this problem gonna be worse?return it?
another thing if you put a finger on front camera and then press power button its turn display on and off by itself.
is it all software issues or its my unit?i have the phone for month.stock unrooted.no complains here.

Yes Keep it on 60% auto.
It's a feature the phone turn the screen off automatically if you hit the power by mistake while the phone in your pocket, that's why if you hide the sensor and turn the phone on,directly it will switch off the screen.
but its not not on auto why its kind flickers in this percent?software issue?
