Problem with launcher fc PA2.99 beta 9
Hi im having problems with the launcher of paranoid 2.99 beta 9, if I install the rom with the new gapps i get fcs all the time just opening the launcher, but if I install the 12122012 gapps the rom works nice.
Do this happen to you also?
Have you tried asking these questions in the PA thread? Theyre great at helping people out.

Hi Guys,
I cant seem to find an up to date "known bugs" thread/information on the latest AOKP for my i9505. Im experiencing issues with hearing phone calls when i have my headphones plugged in. Ive tried searching but come up with no real answers. But heres what what i was able to find.
[Q] what are the known bugs of aokp? (links to AOKP webpage which links to a broken link that supposedly contains a list of known bugs)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1612704
Official [ROM] AOKP [Nightlies] (people posting similar bugs but no direct response (possibly fixed? but cant confirm). cant post inside thread because my post count to low)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2276722
Can someone help me with this? im running i9505 with AOKP nightly (jb-mr1)2013-06-15

Well this is pretty awkward.
Hey
Have you had any luck with finding bugs?
I want to flash AOKP as I can't stand touchwiz so slow... Plus I don't think I'll ever use the smart samsung crop.
I'm currently using omega 9
Thanks in advance

I want to change from stock JW to JS. Is there a way to update without doing a full rom flash? I don't want to have to unlock and reinstall/restore all my apps again.

Stay on JW for now. JS is kind of buggy. Deadlocks here and there.

Wow really??? I've been reading that it is a release version. And that it contains more fixes than JW.

JS is only present in AOSP for building. It might contain fixes, but at the same time, many users experienced deadlocks and other strange behavior. Only the JW-based ROMs are free of this. Moles roled back a couple of things on Paranoid Android to JW and now it's working without any hassle. The problem is that this deadlock issue cannot be pinpointed exactly, happens in various contexts. Also, you cannot use JW kernels with JS builds and vice versa. Long story short, I'd stay on JW until something happens on Google's side.

I'm running Cataclysm w/Franco kernel. This ROM is a flawless victory. I highly suggest it to anybody that wants useful customization along with a stock look and feel. Everything just works.

On JW or JS?
You still require a wipe if you're going for cataclysm

Hi,
I was wondering what your plans were for getting this ROM updated to Android 4.4 KitKat. I know AOKP and PA haven't really worked out their own code yet, but I was curious whether you were getting started with the CM11 code. I'm pretty new to the ROM scene, so I may be missing something really important, but I was wondering whether work had started already
I can't wait to run PAC with KitKat on my flo!
Thanks!
Same question here..

Hi everybody.
There are five main CM11 (CyanogenMod 11) roms for the Samsung Galaxy S2:
Carbon Rom (Myself5)
CyanFox (Christiancs1969)
Wayland_ACE's ROM (Wayland_ACE)
Pound ROM (lion0738)
infected_'s ROM (infected_)
This thread is to talk about own experiences with this roms.
What's OK and/or what's wrong. What recommend you and why.
Regards.
P.S:
The poll is outdated. I considered remove it, but I can't do it. I also considered move the thread to Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
If anyone think this thread causes conflicts, be free to report it to moderators. I apologize.
I tried pound rom it has many features including halo but now im on slimkat due to working art, carbon rom also have a working art and I think it has cm11 as base rom.
I dont think thats a good idea to make a thread like this especialy title"a vs b vs c vs d" this thread is more likely to be whats the best 4.4 rom

You're right. I changed it.
Thanks. :good:
I don't undestand one thing, infected ROM and Wayland_ACE ROM, both are based on Cyanogenmod 11 ( AOSP ) right? So why is Infected' running ART for about 2 weeks and Wayland_Ace not?
And another thing, Infected ROM is based on Cyanogenmod 11, so why Cyanogenmoed did not add CM11 to Nightly downloads (I mean they are still working on 10.2 but no one is interested in 4.3.1 anymore, because there is 4.4.2 out there, In my opinion is a waste of time and energy)
I will kindly thank you for your answer.
Best rom? Dude best rom or awesome rom threads are not allowed in xda.. I don't know the mods are still silent... Everybody's taste is different... More over all the roms u comparing are completely different.. Though all cm11

The thread is intended to talk about the roms, as I said in the first post.
I changed the tittle again. Thanks. :good:

I've been using Cyan-Fox for about a week now. Good battery life and features. Really like it so far.
I've been using Pound rom since it was out and updated with every new version, it's really stable and has nice features. I had a battery drain issue at first but then realized mediascannerservice wakelock was the problem... So I just blocked it with the wakelock blocker setting and Voila! I'm also very tempted by Slim kat, the JB slim roms are great and the fastest I tried before going to Pound rom.
Just wondering if anyone here can tell me if any of the above roms support multi-user in the 'settings' screen. I have kids and I'm really looking to pseudo-corner off my phone (I know the limitations). I'm having real trouble with some of the roms.. and wondering if anyone else has tried/successfully got it working?

For certain multiuser will NEVER make it into the standard CM tree for non-tablet devices now that they are a for-profit.
Add CarbonROM by myself5 to the list

Sorry been away for a month due to exams...
What is ART?
What's the difference between roms that have it and which don't?
Which roms have it?

I'm on Wayland_ACE's CM11 and all of my issues are with 4.4 at large, not the ROM in particular barring one: is anyone else having issues with flac playback? Apollo & CM11 are choking on files that Apollo & CM10.2 had no problems with.
I'd be curious to hear back from anyone on any of the other CM11 base roms in particular.
try slimkat sabermod by fJ under settings -> advance option -> device -> screen

1. ART is an alternative runtime to Dalvik.. For rest of the info, google.
2. Google
3. CarbonROM and CM11 have it working I think..
