Every time I record my voice or send voice messages Whatsapp or something, there is way too much background noise/static.
Friends of mine, even those with cheap android phones, don't have this problem. Is this normal or some kind of hardware defect?
I've had this happen on all PA roms so I don't think that's the reason

Did you only try the PA 4.3 ROMs?, Android 4.3 has some recording audio issues also in camera.

This happened on PA 3.69 (4.2.2) as well
I think it's just my device's issue :/

So just bought a Slimport for my N4 I'm not really sure what's going on here but I am able to hear the audio but not see an image I'm running the latest Cm10 nighty has anyone else had this issue.

It may be a CM10.1 Nightly issue. I was on CM10.1 a couple of weeks back and it worked just fine. Downgrade and try.
Even the Feb 18 build of ParanoidAndroid had this bug and was fixed in the next (Feb 19th) build.

Sorry old topic but just wondering how you got on? I'm using the latest CM10.1 nightly but not getting any mirroring or audio at all. Phone however does go into landscape mode. Have tried different HDMI cables and also different monitors. Thanks.
I'm running MBQ_'s latest uXylon nightly with AKFaux hybrid kernel hyper version.
Where I try to play some 3d games (Call of mini zombies, ace skies, world of blocks online, etc) they just close to the home screen after a few seconds. Never had this problem before. Please can somebody shed some light on this?

I have it too, with official uXylon.
It could be a touch screen problem, because when you don't touch the screen, the game don't close itself.

its most likely a rom/kernel or an undervolt problem. as this is exactly what would happen if wasnt enough voltage, either for the phone or game. and also considering that you both are running uXylon, official and nightly.
It's with all kernel and UV. So the problem could be from uXylon. But what exactly?

If you've set it to go in to expanded desktop automatically for these apps, try turning that off and putting it into e.d. first, then launching the game. I have this problem with NFS most wanted, so I just put it into e.d. beforehand and then launch the game

Isn't a kernel problem, isn't a unique buggy N4, isn't on the other Rom so yes, it's uXylon. But why..

I'd say it's carbon, yes. I'm very happy with carbon, no offence to any developers but it seems much more stable for me too.

Bug fixed. The last Beta (07/13) from Dax is working, finally !
My new nexus 4 is doing great, however.
My barometer sensor seems to fail.
It used to work, but now pressure is always "0". Tried other apps, nothing responds.
How is this possible?

Yesterday it updated to android 4.3, didn't work ever since.
Mine works, try a factory reset.
Unfortunately, Android 4.3 is full of bugs and there are a few ways to fix a few bugs by a full flash and/or wiping.

Yesterday's qcom megamege might have broken some stuff. I personally won't be able to take a look at this until after family leaves for the holidays, maybe someone else will.

Same here, Nexus 5, 11/29 Nightly. This happens also on 11/30 Nightly
The videoplayback issues must be fixed on next nightly. Some qcom commits broke it.
Same here for YouTube and local playback on Grouper 11/30

I'm bit confused about the difference between KOT49H for nexus 4 and Nexus 5 (beside GEL and camera HDR+). Since I saw some custom ROM that porting or merging both ROM. is nexus 5 KOT49H somehow better than for Nexus 4?
I am curious like to try one of those ROM, but it seems all of them are the same. maybe someone can help me which rom to start with?

Oh.. I apologize for not reading it correctly. IMO, its 95% same. There are some small features that are exclusive to Nexus 5 device.

Thank you sir. Yes last night I try one of those Nexus 5 experience/ Nexus 5 porting ROM, but an't see much difference with stock Nexus 4 KOT49H.
because its the same besides gel.
the exclusive features(besides gel) are hardware dependent so you cant use on n4.
