I am unable to use musicfx at all, it force closes and if I try to select it in settings/sound it force closes settings. It's a junk equalizer I know, but I want it for viper4android. DSP manager conflicts with this driver/equalizer, so I have it disabled. I have seen a couple of places that reference a new musicfx fix out for 4.3, but I can't find it anywhere.
Anyone have an idea where I can find this?

During debloat it seems I got rid of something that now causes this error to pop up when I have my camera or gallery apps open. Any ideas as to what one?

I had the same issue so I just switched my default to Google text to speech and viola. Not sure what I deleted to cause it but I no longer have the error

You deleted ChatOn... Its required by samsung in use of SVoice...
In order to restore it and S Voice you have to do a Kies Firmware Upgrade / Initialisation...
That's why you should freeze Apps only and wait a few days and see if anything gets messed up before going forward and removing them.

Go to settings> mydevice> language and input> text to speech options> choose google text to speech.
this will fix it.
I can't access TTS options because it crashes. This wouldn't bug me usually, its just that opening Gallery causes TTS to crash which is annoying.\
EDIT: I guess after I updated ChatOn from the Market I can open TTS settings without it crashing. I chose Google TTS and it works now! Thanks!!
So i am having a issue on my S4, i have searched around and found it to be a problem on many other peoples s4's
When i set a downloaded app. Lets say Apex launcher for example, i press the home key and click to have Apex as my launcher then i choose Always, but when my phone reboots, it doesnt store then infomation so i have to choose it again on boot cause there are two launchers installed. This also happens for things like Google Keyboard (it didn't come pre installed on my phone) im sure it isnt hardware fault cause it happens on my Galaxy ace 3. its really frustrating cause built in apps such as you tube and the stock browser keep there app defaults such as youtube app to open when i click a video on the browser :/ anyone know what i can do?

Have you got it set as the default under Settings>More>Default applications>Home......
I am currently using Nova as the default without having to keep setting it as the default :fingers-crossed:
No problem solved for my S4 but I cant find that on my Ace 3 it just has, application manager and I can only reset the default in there

Hey guys, I've searched for a while and hope I'm posting in the right forum. I am just looking for a way to keep my stock Task Manager from killing Pandora when I close all apps. I know 3rd party apps have an ignore list but I prefer to keep my stock app due to how well it's integrated. I'm running a rooted Verizon Galaxy S5 on 4.4.4 and have the xposed framework installed. I've looked for a module but couldn't find one. Any ideas? Thanks
Modifying permissions maybe?

Try the AppSettings Xposed module, there you can set Pandora to "resident" --> it won't get killed by android.
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately it didn't help.
Just an update in case anyone else finds this thread looking for an answer. I also checked "insistent notifications" and forced "ongoing notifications" in hopes that it would prevent Pandora from being killed, no luck. I find this weird because iheartradio survives the "close all" with no changes needed. But iheartradio isn't Pandora.

did you do it for all app that belong to pandora? I use the "resident" function with my google now launcher, but I set both Google Search and the Launcher app itself to resident. otherwise it would get killed.
Still, i'm quite unsure what to do since you didn't give any details/sutations where Pandora would get killed.
Edit: forgive any typos. I'm on mobile.
Is there a solution to this yet? Either from the system itself or from downloading or sideloading a specific app to close them?
This is still Android so there should be something to force close apps like our phones.
I agree, I force closed each app individually, helped speed things up a bit.

I wish there was as well. Only thing you can do currently is go into Apps and manually Force Stop the apps, which is too much of a pain. Really stupid.
wouldn't greenify achieve that? I haven't tried to install it on the shield, but I assume it would sideload fine. just add all the apps that you commonly find yourself force closing to your greenify list, then you should be able to just open greenify and hibernate them all at once.

It's not possible to limit the number of apps running in background in the developper menu?
You can download a task manager and killer.
You just need to side load it.
Im personally using this which i can confirm working on full android with airmouse controller
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
The app has native "force close" option, which you can use on any currently opened app, and, for those interested, has tasker support, i.e. initiate tasks anywhere
Edit
"force close" option is listed as "ka". Ka = kill app
Edit2
Im using lmt version 2.5 on full android marshmellow, although i can confirm that it worked on full lollipop too
Hi I've been having this problem for a week where my Spotify app keeps crashing everytime I open it. I did all the necessary stuff like reinstall the app, clear cache and data and soft reboot phone. Still can't work, it's been fustrating as I use Spotify daily and not being able to use it now is annoying. Not sure if it's the app that's the problem or the S10+. Anyone else experiencing this?
Crushing how? FC on start or stop working after you turn off the screen? In that case make sure Spotify is excluded from sleeping apps and enabled to work in background.
Sorry just read your post again and it's crushing on start so I don't know what is wrong.

You are not using a synergy theme by chance?
Only mention because if the app updates, you have to reapply or remove theme mod for the app or it will stop working.
Meaning every time I open the app, it will load for a second and the app just force closes. I have attached a screenshot of the message. It does this everytime I reinstall. And yes it's excluded from the sleeping apps.
