Is there a mod available that will allow the soft keys to rotate along with the accelerometer? I'm talking about before the degree the device needs to be at to change orientation. But let's say you were playing a racing game... When you turn your device left to steer left, your soft keys also would slightly rotate on the spot.

Hi!
In CNA rom I noticed a feature that you can move cursor with volume controls while in text box. That was just great, but its missing from Dark Knight's 4.0.4 that I'm using now. Is there any way to add just that feature to the rom by myself?
Another thing I'm missing is brightness adjustment from top/status bar. In Jetpack rom I could hold my finger in top row and move left/right to adjust the brightness of the screen really fast and easy. That was great, but cannot do it in Dark Knight's new rom.
All props and thanks to nasif619 tho. This Dark Knight 4.0.4 rom is just rocking!

I think it can do now (correct me if I'm wrong). Most of rom with ICS 4.0.4 has a notification bar with brightness control.
But for Volume control I have no idea too. I myself also search for people who can help me with volume adjustment on call since it is too loud like I open speaker when I make a call
.... and I have some questions that someone can hopefully answer. I've searched thru the Nook Color forums but couldn't find anything relevant.
First: Installation to EMMC on my Nook Color was flawless and all my apps installed and ran without problem.
This CM9 release is AWESOME! Everything looks and works great!!! Its so nice to have all the icons look great without having to screw with LCD density.
Questions: First question really important... other two just annoyances.
1) Full Screen Apps: I have Auto Hide checked under System>Combined Bar. Yet the status bar will not go away when running full screen apps such as Angry Birds, PowerAmp, and Repligo Reader. Is there another setting somewhere for this???? Or is this something that's broken and waiting to be fixed????
2) Soft Buttons in the status bar: There are three buttons showing: Back, Home & Recent Apps. The Home button is redundant as the Nook button does that. The Recent Apps button is totally useless for me and I would like to change it to a Menu button. But I can't find any settings for the Soft Buttons like there was in CM7 under the CyanogenMod settings.
3) Power Control Widget: I was able to turn buttons off and on in settings for the Power Control Widget in CM7. That appears not to be the case in CM9.... I only need and want the WiFi and Brightness buttons. How do I select Power Control Buttons in CM9?????
Running CyanogenMod version 9-20120703-UNOFFICAL-encore
Take a look at the AOKP port for the nook by Krylon360 in the dev thread. All that is possible.

Some things fixed....
I was unable to download Zeam Launcher from Google Play.
Said my device was incompatible.
Bullfeathers......
Found the newest Zeam version v3.1.10, downloaded and installed it, and it works just fine.
Running Zeam fixed problem number 1 above.... with Zeam running, the status bar is moved back to the top and all my full screen applications work perfectly now.
Problem number 2 has changed somewhat.... no soft buttons now in the status bar. This isn't a real problem as I'm used to using Button Savior, which really helps when in a full screen app. It would still be nice to move the status bar back to the bottom and have the Back and Menu soft buttons, but I can live with the way it is now.
Problem number 3 is still valid and I hope someone out there knows something about it.
Thanks j8048188 (wild handle there!)
I'll check it out, but at the moment I'm now totally happy with this version of CM9 as it sits.
Started playing with this upgrade at 4:30 this afternoon and now have everything the way I want it for a while. Time to actually use it instead of hacking it!
About wifi and brightness buttons.
I don't think you really need them, as when you touch the clock a mini menu appears with sliding bars to adjust them both.
Unleashed from my Revolutionized Desire HD
I see what you mean... controls available by tapping the clock.
But that window is still two touches away before actually changing the brightness or turning the wifi on or off. While the power control bar is just one touch.
Anyone whos uses the Glazed Mods Jellybean Rom knows that there is a setting to allow you to assign a swipe from any edge of the screen to coorespond to any of the navigation buttons. I was wondering if there is a MOD or PATCH or APP that could do this on any rom?

Using this for a week now, works flawless. There is a Demo Version too.
I looked around for this but couldnt find it. I recently went to CM10 (12-26 nightly) from CM7 and noticed there isnt a navbar hide button like in CM7. Is there anyway to hide the navbar while in app? 90% of usage comes from my 3 year old daughter playing dr panda, cut the rope, where's my water, ect... and i know she will constantly hit the nav buttons if their not hidden like previously. I hate to go back to CM7 as this seems much smoother and prettier too.

Go to system-power menu-expanded desktop and select to enable it. When you want to hide Nav bar all you have to do is press power button for 4 seconds (just like rebooting). The menu pops up. Select expanded desktop to enable/disable Nav bar. When Nav bar is hidden long press n button to bring up recent apps.
Thanks, exactly what I was looking for!
Since you have 2 NC's do you have any tips for speeding up CM10? I set the CPU to performance and 1100 mhz on boot. Im really unfamiliar with kernels and such, I tried the V6 script before and didnt notice any difference.

The Nook Color has 512mb of ram, which 449mb is available for user programs. The optimal performance occurs when the CPU operates at 1100 MHz and free ram of at least 180mb. These are my settings for cm10: standard background apps running and kill app back button enabled in developer option-allows kill app by long press of back soft key in navigation bar, interactive governor, min CPU 300 MHz, max CPU 1100 MHz set on boot, I/o scheduler bfq set on boot, zram at 26%, purging of assets allowed and kernel same page merging enabled. I have never experienced sods with this setup-lucky for me. Over clocking to 1200mhz proved to be unstable most likely due to enabled hardware acceleration. CM7 does not have hardware acceleration, thus over clocking on that ROM went higher. I also turn off push notifications for email, games etc. These reduce battery runtime. I can't comment on v6 since I don't use it. Your mileage may vary. Hardware performance may vary on each device. That is why manufacturers underclock the processor even though the cpu is rated higher.

From my experiece and understanding, V6 does not really give a noticeable performance boost, it changes the OOM settings to help keep the device memory free so that you don't need to kill apps to free up memory. It can also change other settings to improve launcher stability, etc.
Has anybody noticed that when running paranoid rom and in oie mode the tabs or clickable objects near where the back and home button are hard to tap? For examlple when in setcpu and in vertical screen in my nexus 4 I have problems changing the governor from oerformance to ondemand and also the I/O scheduler. But if I disable pie controls theyre really easy to click. Im wondering if theres a quick fix o one issue on paranoid android? I would think is a bad issue cause pie is one of the most important reasons people like this rom and not to work right when enabled.
Nvm folks I figured it out, the fix was to change the trigger are of the pie in setting to normal (default).
