did it work on 8.0 or are you sure its not user error. You do need to install the adb drivers for your devices.

Yes, worked on 8.0 i installed everything necessary...but no profit :/
On another pc running windows xp it works fine

Report as a bug on Microsoft forums, perhaps to google as well
I don't have 8.1 to test myself or any intention if getting it as a pre release

Still nobody who has any idea?

There's a update for HTC adb drivers for Windows 8.1 check your Windows update.

I would get the current version of the Windows Android SDK. I'll also give this a shot over the weekend and see if it works on my Samsung devices.

same here with HTC One: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45930861&postcount=40

The driver included with the SDK doesn't work?
I'm assuming you want the driver for adb and not the mass storage driver (which is already part of windows).

[Q] Android USB Drivers

Hey guys and girls!
I'm currently getting into android development and i need a shell on my pc for testing, i planed to do it using adb.
unfortunately adb doesn't recognize my android htc touch hd (running neopeek),
so i need these drivers:
"CDC Abstract Control Model (ACM)"
"CDC ACM Data"
and "XDA"
in the FAQ you state that debugging is possible over usb.
to cut things short:
can anyone give me a hint where i can find those drivers without downloading demo versions or cracked crap?
thanks!

Hi. I have the same on my Blackstone and Android. Any solution?
Android USB drivers
All users who have HTC HD aka Blackstone, have the same problem with USB Driver.
I look for two days and nothing found, maybe someone will find these drivers,
and share with as, I HOPE THAT !
You guys know Android is Google, right?
The Google USB driver is a downloadable component for Windows developers, available for download from the AVD and SDK Manager.
If you install the Google USB Driver are you be able to have access to the SD Card or is it only for USB Debug?

Yes, unfortunately -
The Google USB Driver is only for Android Developer Phones (ADP), Nexus One, and Nexus S. If you're using a different Android-powered device, then you need to get a USB driver from the device OEM.

Our Blackstone isn't one of them.
What you need is a driver from HTC.
I had the same problem when i got into developing for my blackstone.
You can find the driver here:
HTC Sync Drivers 32 Bit
HTC Sync Drivers 64 Bit
Works in Win7 and XP.

[Q] No Activesync or WMDC for Win 7 anymore?

I cant find anything for windows 7. Apparently its been discontinued? Activesynce cant be found and WMDC is only good up until vista. What are some suggestions or work arounds?
Ive never flashed or worked on a windows phone before just Android
WMDC works on Windows 7 & Windows 8
It syncs with Windows Mobile
Windows Phone has Zune & by default does not work with WMDC or Activesync.
Also if you are using WP on HD2 some ROMs have Ultrashots WMDC Launcher built in so worth looking at thread below to get more understanding on it ...

No dude. You cant install Android on Windows Phone. You need to buy Android Phones for that. In earlier versions of Wp10 it was possible but not now

Something close is possible, You can install Appx File.... It's the Universal Apps : there might be some that have be converted from android to Windows phone.. Just google Appx Downloads and see if you can find something he wanted. If so, that is what is possible. The previous : A Older version of Windows on the phone had a special file/command, whatever you wish to call it. """Bash""". It allowed Linux to run on windows. Sadly they removed this, it would give programmers to do things Microsoft did not want to happen.

I think what you meant was sideloading apk using adb in W10 build 10149 . The Exploit which allowed more or less sandboxing of Android app. It Ran the basic Android Apps which didnt have much dependency on Google Play services and more in use by Project Astoria. That means if an android app that required the GMaps plug-in would crash in W10M. Well that's basically not possible now as they removed the Linux Subsytem. You cant install Android Apps now on Windows 10 (btw Nowadays which dev is spending time on Lumia devices? ) I dont think there would be more development of Windows 10 mobile in future as they have shown that Full blown Windows 10 would soon run on ARM devices which has SD835 or more( Just think SD835+6GB RAM+LQS)That would be amazing. But Microsoft Doesnt have the Required no. of Apps in store (Admitting, UWP was not a great success) and enough market share. But dev's like @feherneoh and @banmeifyouwant have done great thing in porting Android to SG Lumias. :cyclops:
feherneoh said:
SD835 might be a great SoC, but we'll have to wait and see. But that will give us x86 Windows apps, not Android
Yeah, there is the 52X port, but note that we have no connectivity at all....

Atleast if the perfomence if fine on SD835 soc , I Mean more than 2.5Ghz and enough page memory, I Think running or emulating Android apps would be smooth. Moreover if its full fledged Win10 the bootloader stuff Etc. would be easier to unlock and build Android for that. Yeah as you said we have to wait and see.
Yeah, Connectivity is major barrier on L52X Android Ports. If you guys could solve that, L52X Android port would the topic of debate and hopefully open the doors for future development. Good luck with connectivity though. Anyway you guys have done a great work on dead Lumias
