odin 3.07 always works for me
Odin3 V1.85 is the version I've always used, never missed a beat or ever had a flash fail.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Premium HD app
3.09 seemed to be released for Galaxy Camera, but still works perfect for I9500.
Previous 3.0x versions took 5-6 minutes to flash an official KIES firmware release for I9500; with 3.09 the time decreased to less than 4 minutes.
For me Odin 3.04 is th most stable version.

Exactly.
True. 3.04 is the most stable. I prefer it over 3.07. Will try out this 3.09 though

Could you be more specific about what was bad about 3.07 and why 3.09 is worse?

Interesting that you prefer 3.07 while others prefer 3.04, hence wanting more specifics - thanks. How are you finding 3.09?

AP = PDA
CP = modem
for me all 3.0? are the same with some added options
I found 3.04 loaded the .tar file 1st then did the MD5 check when you hit start and 3.07 checks the MD5 file before it accepts the .tar file.
Really only difference but if I want to start the flash then run to do something its easier to use 3.04 as it will accept the .tar file immediately. 3.07 tends to wait until the check is done which can take a minute or two but goes directly to the flash after start is pressed...
Odin 3.09
got Odin 3.09 now from
but the bunch of new features are unexplained.
Anyone has got contact to the devs perhaps a documentation for the various updated options would be helpful.
Thanks.

When you ran Odin did you 'run as administrator'?
Also re-download the file you were trying to flash and check the MD5sum. Then try again
Your using the wrong file ....you need mdc or mf9 file....and your using mga wich is not for the sprint version
Yeah didnt caught that damn. You could totally brick your phone with that file.

Not really! Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258107 , pick your flavor and use Odin V3 1.85, run as admin. It may take 2 tries, but will be back to stock.

So to confirm, you're NOT using a Sprint SPH-L720 but instead an international I9505, correct?
And are you using the most current version of the stock tar or same that you last had on there?

Its not branded. This could be a reason, I am downloading the XEO-Version (Poland) .. and I hope it would work.
Its not , as I understood, Possible to revert back to JB 4.3 now. right?

It worked on 4.4.2 Poland ROM. I did some search on the internet and they all confirm downgrading is not doable. Bad though since this New ROM is not as good as the 4.3 Ït did not add improtant features and it is not stable"

Hi folks,
A friend of mine was having a lot of issues with his S4 gt-i9505 LTE so I offered to reflash the firmware for him. (it's out of warranty anyway). I've owned myself and flashed most of the Samsung Galaxy series so this one should have been a breeze to me.
The problem I'm having is this.. When i use Odin V3 3.09 to flash, it fails at the start of the flashing process where it says "Get PIT for mapping". I'm loading the ".tar.md5" downloaded firmware into the "AP" section. I can't see what's wrong.
Could it be a bad download or has anyone any other suggestions?
Hey, I had the same problem. It was the wrong port. Use a other cable and an other port.

Hi mate,
Seem like the PIT file is missing , check here

There are PIT files and show you how to use them
Thanks for the replies.. I tried another USB cable and it flashed fine. Panic over.

Hi. Glad you made it to restore the rom.:good:
I have the same phone, and it's running smooth, with 48h battery life.
Take a look at this custom rom, it's worth trying. :good:
