Hi there,
I have just received my new Nexus 10 and promptly Unlocked it and installed the AOKP Manta Build 2. It runs pretty sweetly, but I have a few issues which i'm not sure if it's just me or they are actual bugs. :
- Cannot set a wallpaper from the Gallery (Gallery Force Closes)
- My Nav bar disappears in portrait mode. I have searched the settings, but without any luck. The black bar is there, but no buttons.
If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. I wanted to post this on the AOKP ROM thread, but as I am below 10 posts, I cannot
Appreciate any help/pointers.
Cheers
Isn't this supposed to be in the Q&A?

Yes - my bad....thought i was in the Q&A forum!
Wonder if an admin could move this thread to the Q&A forum?
Thanks
Try aokp PUB build for manta. Its getting a lot of nice attention from stephen spear.

It's a known bug that doesn't have a fix to it yet as far as I know. I haven't tried out the AOKP PUB though so I can't speak for that one.
It is indeed a known bug. Steve's AOKP Pub build has different options for UI (phone, tablet, phablet) and the portrait navbar bug only exists in phone UI for his build. Not sure about this other AOKP build as I haven't used it.
Thanks very much for all the replies. I'll probably just wait for the next release in the hope that it will be fixed. Other than that, is a great ROM.
Thanks again.

RootBox Support Thread
This thread is for the support of RootBox users. I am not affiliated with Bajee in any way. I am just doing this to prevent any further conflicts between our amazing developer and the people have questions and need support for RootBox. I will do my best to answer any questions, but I do not know all the answers.
Please be helpful to others and only constructive criticism. EVERYONE started somewhere, just because they have a question does not give you the right to insult or criticize anyone. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone has those days.
Thank you for your cooperation
I have a question and my question is: why not lock all the dev threads afterall, and simply have one post in them where devs just upload link of their rom this way, you and those that think dev threads cannot be used to ask questions, become a happy family?

I believe that Dev threads can be used to question, I just know that Bajee perfers a support thread and a Development thread. All I'm trying to do is make his life easy as he works extremly hard on our Rom.
This is great! It's better this way. We can report bugs here instead of discussing there. Just make sure bajee checks this thread!

There's a video tutorial on the root box site. Follow that. Just remember to use 250 dpi instead of 300

Personally I have no longer been having an issue with cLock not showing on my lock-screen. They appear to have updated it and I no longer have problems with it showing. Also in the newest source it was updated again so you may not have problems then.
Could try doing a full wipe and installing the latest nightly or wait for the next one.
Ps I compile my own rootbox so when I talk about the new update it should be in Bajees next nightly or release
Just to make clear i know how to change dpi and stuff. I simply do not know which apk i select to change the dpi? Logic tells me i should fins lockscreen and changw dpi but when i go to xposed app i do not see a lockscreen apk to change dpi like for example i see a facebook.apk or some other apk

Lockscreen is not an apk. It's not possible to specifically change your lockscreen dpi in this rom.
this rom looks so awesome, looks the best one (all the best roms in one) !
what about :
1. battery
2. performance
3. sweetness
4. translations
5. colours
6. suggestions/requests
7. what is worse than PA ?
?
thanks, i'm looking for the most customisable rom
Can I specify the lockscreen to stay on portrait view?
Hi all.
I have been using this ROM for about 3 weeks now, and I love every single thing about it
Thanks bajee11 to have developed such a great ROM
I run it with Faux123 kernel and it runs smoothly.
One thing I have to ask in this thread and hopefully get a reply is this
Is it possible to keep my lockscreen on a portrait view when I enabled auto rotate?
Or is there any way to make my LINE(chat) to be auto rotate when the screen orientation locked?
I enabled the "Normal Rotation" on Youtube and works fine, but with LINE it can't be done and I am eager to do the same with my LINE.
Hopefully someone will have an answer to this. thanks very much.
Regards, Evan Hendra
In the new nightly the option to have the screen shot in one of the nav keys is gone, (or I'm overlooking it)..... anyway I can add it back in myself? Thanks.
@Bajee.... will there be an option for it again in the future? I know it's in 3.8 but just wondering if it's going to be taken out all together in the next stable release.

Is the CRT Screen ON now working ?
Bootloop with faux kernel
Anyone using faux kernel here? I must be doing something wrong because I can't get the phone to boot when I flash the kernel. (I'm using TWRP if that makes any difference).
Just a quick question, I am currently running the latest 'Motley' Kernel and wondered if it had the high quality audio tweak enabled that I know M-Kernel among others has? If not, is there a way to manually enable it?
Thankyou,
Frenetyc.

Exactly what are you looking for. What results are you lookin for?
There are many sound options, some dependant on kernel support, and some working on almost any kernel.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
It's a kernel based tweak, something to do with turning audio compression off I think? I know a lot of kernels have it, just wondered if Motley's did?
Thanks.

M-kernel has it turned off. I don't know what other kernels have it turned off or on.
Try searching for AGC in the kernel threads.

Thankyou but I know M-Kernel has it turned off, as I said in my OP. My original post was more specifically regarding Motley Kernel, as it is my current daily runner and there is no mention of 'Automatic Gain Control' in the related thread. I wish I could just ask in the thread itself but as I am a 'n00b', I require at least ten of my own posts before I am allowed to post in the thread! but I do appreciate the 'breadcrumb' so to speak.

Sorry thought you were looking for an alternative.
If you haven't already, you might what to check out Viper4 as a sound App. It's kernel independent.

Hello everyone!
I just updated my Nexus 4 to Android 4.4, but it seems there has changed as good as nothing. (I was running Nova Launcher when I was updating, if that is relevant).
I don't find any of the new functions of the new android version: normally you can just swipe from the left to acces google now, but not on my Nexus. Everything seems to be just like android 4.3: the appdrawer, the homescreens, ... There are only a few things that have actually changed: the icons, the settings menu and the lockscreen.
I thought the problem could have been that I was running Nova Launcher while installing the update.
Does someone know what I can do to have the full Kitkat experience? I've already deleted Nova Launcher by now and the stock Launcher is set as default.
Could a clean install help me out?
PS: I can post some screenshots later if my explanation here isn't clear.
Thanks in advance!
Are you sure you updated? And are you sure you set Google search as your launcher in the launcher settings?
Sent from my N4, wanna know what I am doing? Check http://team-fun.eu
Search for and install Googlehome.apk
Nexus 4 KitKat update is different from Nexus 5. For example 4 is missing the new Google Experience launcher, transparent lockscreen. For GEL just install Google Home. For full transparent lockscreen flash this fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2527525.
Also if you like Nova launcher, join Nova launcher beta group on Google+ and became a tester. Nova beta supports transparent bars (you need enable it in settings).

I'm not sure why you bothered ether since we are both technically in the right.
Forget search it's lately almost always at the top of general (excluding sticky threads). If you can find how to post a new thread I'm sure you can find a highly active thread in general.

It's just that the constant “use the search” type of replies are about as effective as the war on drugs. You can take a dealer or user off the streets, but that will not do anything to actually impact the level of drug use or distribution. Likewise, there will always be people who don't use the search, so why not just ignore them so the thread dies, or actually offer a helpful response.
I'm more in the right. But that's probably because I'm awesome.

What useful rooted apps would you guys recommend or even have installed ☺
I'll get the ball rolling
Adaway-- Blocks ads
Greenify-- Puts apps in hibernation mode
Obackup (letter o not zero)-- Backup without having to enter TWRP or CWM
GSAM battery-- Monitors battery
Flashify-- flashes .img's without having to enter fastboot mode or thorough emulator
SetCPU-- Kernel control
Etc, you get the point ?

Not a lot more I can add to the list but if you guys are interested in customisation head over to the candy shop 4.4 forum.
Also I currently have touch control and screen off running, giving me the function of knock on from LG g2 and the ability to lock from screen, so basically all gestures and no use of power button. A pretty cool feature to have in my opinion.

FYI. It doesn't sync with the atomic clock but instead is pretty much just NTP. It looks to sync with a stratum 2 server at ntp.org which is a few removed from the atomic clock. I ran stratum 0 servers for a telcom.
This is a useful tool to specify what ntp server you want to sync with but TMO, AT&T and the rest have stratum 0 servers that their handsets get time from over their respective networks.
