[Q] JFLTEXX and carrier phones - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hi,
On the forums here, the "International" version of the S4 has the codename JFLTEXX .. but since "International" is pretty vague, can someone explain what that means? Is it just the code for ALL the Snapdragon S4's?
For example, since I have the canadian S4 (JFLTECAN) does that mean I can or cannot flash the JFLTEXX roms on it?
Thanks!

1. JFLTEXX is originally code for S4 i9505 and JFLTE is the code that unifies all versions of S4 with Qualcomm chip (like the GT-i9505). The developers of custom ROMs use the JFLTE to be compatible with the maximum number of models S4, why have discontinued the JFLTEXX variants. In summary, JFLTE is the appropriate.
2. No, you will have to flash lollipop via ODIN.
JFLTEXX is the international version of the S4. It is the unbranded version of the phone (no carrier).
There are several models: jflteatt, jfltecan, jfltecri, jfltecsp, jfltespr, jfltetmo, jflteusc, jfltevzw, jfltexx.
JFLTEATT, for example, belongs to AT&T.
Soon after the release of CM 11 M3, all Qualcomm-based variants of this device (the S4) were merged into a single build: jflte.
So, instead of jflteatt, jfltecan, jfltecri, jfltecsp, jfltespr, jfltetmo, jflteusc, jfltevzw, jfltexx, now it's just jflte.
Also, since you're rooted, and probably tripped knox, you won't be able to get official updates via OTA.

Upgrade Android Version on Samsung S4 SGH I337 - Rooted phone.

Hello Experts,
I am having a Samsung SGH I337 (AT&T) rooted phone that is current on Android Version 4.4.2 (Baseband Version 3.4.0-505595). I would like to know if there is a safe way to upgrade to Android Lollipop or to anything above that version. Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Ask in the XDA AT&T Galaxy S4 Forums. You posted this in the International S4 Forums, and in the wrong section of that forum to boot. Mods will move this soon to the correct place.
