Hey guys,
I just saw a high demand for keeping the current ROM you are on and being able to get google wallet on your device. I looked through the update and pulled the files ( apks, libs, certs..etc ) I felt might be necessary for google wallet to work on our devices. If you want to test this zip file you are doing so at your own risk, i only have it wiping the dalvik cache but i have tested it on CM 125 and 126 and seems to be working fine.

he figured out a way to get the new r33 version working on nexus s for other carriers ( tmobile tested )
takes a little more work as you have to delete a line out of your etc/hosts file, but at least its working and lets you add a card!

Got this (more recent) version of Wallet working on TMobile Nexus S.
If you remove 127.0.0 1 www.google-analytics.com from your /etc/hosts file (normally done via AdBlocker-Hosts) then you MIGHT be able to get your CitiBank card to work too. I did.
This fix removes the carrier/handset restrictions that force it to only work on Sprint NS4G.
Try it and let me know if it works for you

oh and i didnt have time to mess with the progress bars on the update so dont worry about the weirdness that happens with the progress bar when flashing...just look for the FINISHED

they'd have to come out with updates for any phone that they want to have run the wallet app. its a bit more complicated than an apk unfortunately... there are library files and I think they also modified the framework to support the wallet app, but im still looking into that right now

Naa. They try to leave the apps out of the gapps package. They have the packman app in the gapps to give you a straight link to the soups you need
in the market. They do it like this for legal reasons.

yeah there is only 694 files in the framework-res of the 2.3.7 update while there are 718 files in the 2.3.5 version of framework-res... it may not even be possible to make a flashable version of this without making it specific to each rom because of this...
Im willing to test this when you think you have got it working.

hi, new to the nexus. i just tried flashing the zip from recovery but now the phone won't boot all the way. it just goes to the Google screen and stops. any ideas whats happening here?

ok sounds good, i have a lot of school work so its delaying it a bit, but I think that most of the problems lay within the framework stuffs, we'll see how it goes

I had one too and I thought I was gonna have more cuz I was having that problem heavily on the .9 build but now I'm pushing 45 hrs uptime and no problems at all. Really smooth and seemingly much better battery life with the new radios. Still using stock kernel too.
Btw imo's lean 6.1 or 6.2 work with this build, I don't use em but that's wat I've been reading at rootzwiki

For me it works perfect on my NexusS cm10.1 (20120103) but you have to disable the "GPS position" otherwise the gallery-app will crash during the rendering.
Not to forget: after installing/flashing you will have two gallery apps. The new one has all you need including picasa sync. You can uninstall the old one by using a root file explorer and deleting "/system/app/gallery2.apk".

just installed today haven't tested yet for 24 hour. since released seems stable.
So far this is great... I was coming from the unofficial cm10.1 and even that ran good... So I'm sure this one won't have issues...

Everything works loving me some CM10.1 when it comes to custom ROMs I think Cyanogen Mod is the best I've always said it since CM7. This ROM & Rasbean are the only ones I have on my phone. Rasbean took over for Pete's bugless beast when I want a close to stock ROM with some features & CM when I want tons of features & themes galore!!

I noticed the data "tile" doesn't switch off when 4G is connected... Luckily this ROM also has the toggles... I can turn data on/off using that one, no problem... Turning data on with the tile works fine... Its just when 4G is connected that you can't use that tile to turn data off... Minor inconvenience I can live with for now...
Also, anybody have a change log or list of current features? I noticed the "sync" tile isn't included... I haven't seen that tile on any ROM or mod for tiles... Anyone know if aokp ROMs have it?

yesterday I've flashed the 21/12/2012 NIGHTLY version and I've noticed that in my device autorotation doesn't work fine. Turning the device to right i rotate the display, but laggy, while to the left it doesn't rotate.....

I think the latest nightlies, doesn't really have photosphere. You'll have to re-flash whatever gallery fix you installed for it to work every time you update.

Probably cm camera app doesn't have support also 20121212 Gapps is not support it too for crespo. Look at the gapps zip inside, optional folder not have photosphere for crespo. So it means you have to use another gapps which support photosphere for Nexus s.

i guess this will never happen until the cm team will add support. You will loose cm features every time you install your fix.

Have a look in the right side you See the cam Symbol if you tab this it opens a little menu straight left in it you See a ball this is photosphere

Power button bug is still here on 2012-12-23. It doesnt turn on many times and I have to press it for a while till restart. Any ideas?

NO, but we are working on a environmentally green kernel that will allow you to run everything at half speed and get battery life of 3 months per charge. As fast as this tab is, you won;t even notice the difference..:cyclops:

There isn't photosphere's symbol. Only panorma mode, camera and video.
Do this 4.2 Have multiple user support???

No where in the thread does it say that the kernal works on cm 10.1! I've tested it and while it did boot it hangs when it upgrading android so no it doesn't work. Maybe it'll get fixed to work in the future maybe not....

Edit: my bad didn't see the post above mine.... Also I have no photosphere either, only panorama and video and still same as some... Someone with working photosphere do me a kind one and post a link to the gapps u used ?

If u use ti backup, DO NOT RESTORE YOUR DATA WHEN U RESTORE YOUR APPS.... YOU WILL BREAK APPS FROM UPDATING AT THE VERY LEAST AND WILL PROB BREAK SOME ALL TOGETHER... ASUMING U DONT BREAK YOUR INSTALL.... ONLY RESTORE JUST THE APPS NOT THE DATA WITH TI BACKUP...

Oh and PS:
Do not back up and restore system apps, that will def EFF u up
Your best bet:
Use a root exploring file manager,
Navigate to /data/app , and copy the apps you want to save and paste them to your SD card
Next repeat except from /system/app (be care full here u really prob don't need anything from here, but just check, and remember only downloaded market apps)
After upgrading use file manager to install from SD card ( navigate to where they are and click on them and let droid install them)
HINT: THE FIRST TIME U TRY TO INSTALL IT WILL WARN YOU ABOUT UNKNOWN SOURCES... PRESS THE SETTING BUTTON THAT WILL POP UP AND WHEN IT BRINGS U TO THE CORRECT SETTINGS PAGE CLICK THE CHECKBOX NEXT TO UNKNOWN SOURCES...

I have the same "problem" I only have the normal Panorama, but Photosphere is mising.
Using cm-10.1-20121223-NIGHTLY-p5110.zip with GAPS 4.2...

i am so sorry that i do not get more things about the rom for you. now it is the u8800's rom. it is ported from u8800pro of shendu. i do not cheat anyone. the only bug is wifi that i found. it is using dzo's kernal. my aim is getting help ,so there is no need i cheat anyone. if you don't use wifi,the rom is just suitbale for you .please trView attachment 1708643

Please put more information, a post to a link is almost nothing!!
Why should I install this (supposed) ROM?
you should put more information about what you are sharing otherwise perhaps the correct place would be General area and not development.
Also, wifi is one of the most important features in a smartphone. Without this is pretty much useless. (in my opinnion)
now it can install in the u8800, i have tested it, the only bug is wifi .

i am sorry , i am not always in the xda ,so i do not know some orders , the rom is ported from u8800pro . now the only bug is wifi that i found. the other everything is ok. i do not cheat anyone.

i really do not know what i should put . it's the truth that the only bug is wifi.i have tested ,everything is ok except the wifi.

So if it is really working on normal u8800 I will make new thread with some informations and I will try fix WiFi but I need source to fix WiFi.

Ok, Just try to improve your OP and share the most information that you can: screenshots, what is working and not working, your experience about battery life, etc...
Maybe you can't change, but this thread should be on general discussion.

I'm going to test the rom and hope someone can solve the wifi.
A question? Is need to change the partition size?
My partitions are already resized and honestly I can't revert to original ones.
Tried many times and the phone simply won't accept it.
- Well, just installed this rom and is booting ATM and the boot screen is Cyanogenmod.......
- Starts in Chinese so we need to know the way to change the language (its easy)
- No Google store nor gapps
- I know wifi is not working but won't even turn on
- Kernel is [email protected] #98
- Everywhere showing as U8800pro
This is CyanogenMod rom JB and I was thinking that was an official U8800pro ported to U8800...
Indeed looks promissing if someone could fix the wifi. Hope someone does.
