Help Kuro Kernel

Hi to all, i need a little help with the installation of this kernel. I'm trying to install it in ussr v3 and v4 and always get bootloop. I read that is necessary to uninstall a2sd but i don't know if those ROMs have it (both have Repencis kernel) and i don't know how to uninstall it. I checked init.d folder and i dont see any files with "a2sd" and i dont have my sd-card partitioned or anythig so i dont know what to do, please help. Thanks in advance guys.

I to had the same problem but i was able to install the kuro kernel but i was using ICS fusion v2.0 rom
unroot ur phone
do a data wipe/cache
before installing kuro kernell
After installing Kuro kernel u may root ur phone again.
And remember always to flash it via CWM & not the stock recovery
u can use the faqbly method to flash the kernel

what? unroot? I don't know why did my kernel got a problem with root stuff. try this one. usr have bacem tweak inside it, you'd better remove it or change the value to -20mV before you install my kernel.

i install this kernel with Repencis v3.5 and i didnt get bootloop maybe the a2sd thing is the one thats get you a bootloop cause i use link2sd..because of that i didnt got any problem
btw this kernel is COOL really fast and battery saver

Hi noob question here
I flashed kuro kernel(love this kernel BTW)on samsumsung kies updated stockrom but IMEI number disappeared (IMEI blank)gone from phone has anyone else had this happen. Is there a simple fix to this or reason ?, or do I have to stick with xxla2 which is fine but I love the enhancements on the kies updated rom
I have flashed back stock xxla2 and IMEI number has returned so no damage done
I did'nt note down the kies update number my bad.

You really need kuro? Try savie SGY kernel.. It optimizes batter life and it has 15governors!!

the only way you will know what works best for you is to test it

please refrain from saying one thing is better than something else as this is normally not true in the scientific sense or just personal opinion
your use can differ from someones else so what might work "best" for you may not work "best" for someone else

"best" or "better" is personal choice.
Also Savie's kernel is banned.
(I know it was one of good kernels, but he could not upload sources.)

prob with rom pal!!! pls flash syock kernel and stock rom via odin.....then flash a stable custom rom if u want!!download 1 now for ure place from here..thanks to doky73

i hvnt used tis rom though but hv heard the project wasnt completed and it was closed....so its better u flash back to stock rom and try other custom roms

there are many roms to try my friend....but before installing do read the steps carefully or else u may get ur device bricked:silly:

Stuck in The Bootlogo After Flashing A Ro PLS Help

Hi Guys ,, i Am Not A Noob At First " im Trying Every Rom in XDA But When When i Tried The COD Rom i've Liked Because i'ts lite And Minimal But i've Gotten Bored of it So i Looked For Another Rom And That Was Creeds Rom 3.5 i've Heards it'll Be Good One So i've Downloaded and Took A Backup For Cod Rom Via CWM And Flashed Creeds i Didn't Liked it So Mush So i've Restored My Back Up Again Then After Some Days Saw The Cyanogen Democracy Tried To Flash But Stuck On The Boot Logo i've Got This Problem Before But i've Passed it By Odin And Did The Same Here Restored Orignal Rom Then Restored The COD Backup i SAW The Orignal Cyanogen Tried To FLash But Same Problem Then Restored The COD
The Problem Here How i Can Fix This Issue

My Phone is Now Working By The Backup i Made Through CWM But When i Try To Install Any ROM Stuck on Boot Logo What Can i Do

u flashed maroc-os' unstable cm7
flash whitexp's stable cm7
U FLASHED THE WRONG CM7

Inorder TO Run Cm7 U hve to hve A compatible Kernel lIke White Kernel etc.
So Flash kernel.
If U still Hve Problem Than
flash Stock ROM Via Odin.
Just Follow The Steps given In the Link

i've Flashed Stock ROM And Tried To Flash DIANXIN OS But Same Problem

maybe the ROM wud have locked ur partition.... meaning not letting u switch between ROMS without Repartitioning....try google for that

I have just rooted my phone and installed clockworkmod recovery. But it always troubles me when i boot or when i charge my phone.
I want to get rid of this god damn recovery.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

You can flash only PDA.tar which you can find it from sir doky's thread... select your region and download it... flash it via odin... you will get your default ASR back!

I think you r in custom kernal.. jus flash a stock kernal its done...

Whichever rom you are using... First flash stockromor Kuro or Percy or Savie... these support stock recovery

hay i have installed anyother kernal.. so now how i can remove it. and its not making partation in sd card for increassing internal memory.. plz help

Dude... Just use a different one. Go into ur cwm, and open another one, just as how ud do it on stock recovery.

You can download Hell Fusion #50 Kernel, open it with CWM and choose to install stock kernel because there's an option for it.

Hi all, as topic stated, my SGY after flashing no matter what kind of kernel (merruk, hell kernel) on stock ROM, my IMEI went missing. Is there any way to retrieve back? Or I should stay on stock kernel? (I DON'T want to flash any other ROM at the moment)

What kernel?

I tried merruk's kernel final 2.5 and Hells Fusion kernel. All my IMEI missing after flash. I am using stock SGY's ROM.

Stock kernel don't have CPU frequency control features. I am locked at 832MHz

*Flash latest stock firmware for your country.
*Then flash a custom kernel.

IMEI has nothing to do with SIM card. Whether you insert it or no. Already tried.

same problem here. IMEI missing. but it is still there. coz I checked with galaxy tools trying to get it back but then I clicked info, IMEI was there. but it is missing on the settings page. IMEI "UNKNOWN" and pressing *#06# says Imei=blank

what baseband are you using? if its ddmd1 then it does not support custom kernels because samsung messed up with the ramdisk. only kernel that supports ddmd1 is @Nitzz kernel

guyz i have made some changes in anothr kernel..
i hav changed the randisk of savie kernel also but i cant share it on xda..
since no source is given by savie and his main thread is also lockd..
so cant share new kernel wid u..
new savie #1 & #2 are edited by me and also support init.d wid ext4 support..

Whats your base rom n kernel...Try Kuro kernel (final)....i think it will work coz i've the same issue but after flashing kuro its sloved.

Used DXLF2 version of firmware, or earlier. And will be solved.
