which I got from here , but in the thread the solution is to remove the md5 extension but the firmware which I got from sir dorky's thread (this) is already without .md5 extensions, they are just flashable tar files.
So what do you guys suggest I try? What could I possibly do?
I am using a GT - S5360 and the picture used is just for refernece.

I fixed it, I used an another package which had the md5 verification and it flashed successfully in Odin.

hi all
i have a 4G on CM7.2 stable
have tried flashing mrom thru cwm always says bad file or something like that at the point of unpacking.
am i missing something?

Try to reload the file. I wonder whether you do a factory reset before applying the ROM? I hope you don't unzip it?
Try redownloaing the file; it may have been corrupt.

Did you check the downloaded file against its MD5?
Personally, if I'm going to change the very core of my phone, I'd at least like to know it downloaded properly before I mess everything up.
erm how do i check the downloaded file against its MD5?

[Q] Can't flash ROM because of "Received Data of Bad Length"ERROR

When I try "fastboot flash system system.img.ext4" or Super Tool script(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2627654) , it always get error of "(bootloader) Received Data of Bad Length" like this.

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And following to"FAILED (status read failed(Too many links))".
The another solution of using restore file and OTA file in custom or stock recovery dosen't work due to Status 7 error except for 4.2.2 ROM.
try this maybe...?
Try a good quality usb cable, and onboard motherboard usb port instead of the front panel ones. Re-download the tool again maybe?

Memory full issue on rooted SM-N9005 4.4.2 kitkat

Hello,
Not sure if there is another thread about this (couldn't find one), but I have an issue after rooting my galaxy note 3 (4.4.2 kitkat).
When I try to open or save an email attachment from the builtin email program it gives me memory full message.

}
I have rooted the device using the Odin included ROM for this device. I have noticed it gives me such errors in different situations, but I can't recall any now. Also I tried to install CWM recovery and at the end of backup it gave me a message that it cannot write to the /cache or some other directory.
Please help me with this issue. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

and I tried to flash with stock rom there is an error . Please help me to load stock android. My device is NEXUS 7 2012 MOBILE.
Hello,
In the Command Prompt it says that the update package is missing the crucial system.img . Can you try redownloading the update package? Make sure the md5 checksums are the same. You can download freeware md5 checksum checkers on the web. Assuming you want to go to 4.4.4, here's the link: https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/nakasig-ktu84p-factory-ef6aaa76.tgz . The md5 checksum is 09a2f56cc12ea45d77d2f451e924ecb7. Link taken from this website: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#nakasig
Good luck!

Can't install stock/ service rom on my phone.

After installing [ROM][10] DarkJoker360 AOSP 10. I tried to get back to my stock ROM.
I tried to restore the backup using [RECOVERY][warsaw][3.4.0-0]TWRP. But I failed to do that.
Then I tried dload method by using the same recovery, but it did not work!!
I also tried to install using ADB, but it's showing "remote: partition length get error" when I tried to flash stock recovery and boot.img .
My phone is unlocked with PotatoNV.
I know I did something wrong! Please help me to get a raid from this situation!!!
Thanks
