[Q] Considering to swap an I9500 for a T-mo S4 - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I like my I9500 but I'm really interested in the T-mobile's LTE speeds in my area. So far I can get an HSPA+ (SF market) as most of the market is re-farmed with the 1900Mhz band but I'm not traveling as much as I've used to and I was thinking to switch to the T-mo's S4 for the LTE.
My question is related to ROM upgrades. Does anyone know (or can confirm) that the I9505 builds works on the T-mo's phones as well? In other words, will the SGH-M919 take the I9505 builds? or are there less, more limited builds that needs to be specific to the SGH-M919 phones?
In the past I had my SGS3 from T-mo and I remember that the international versions got all the goodies (such as multi-screen / split-screen) but T-mo never got those upgrades. I don't want to be in the same situation again...
Thanks in advance for your feedbacks
Gil.

Yes they do work, I'm on a I337 using a 9505 Rom

Most likely LTE will not work so if thats your main concern just get it in the U.S unless you dont mind being on 3g maybe H+

[Q] "Unlocking" AT&T S4 questions

Now I have had previous Samsung Galaxy phones that I have rooted and I'm very familiar with the whole process.
However, I have never used a phone that was bought for one carrier and used on another.
I'm planning to purchase an AT&T Galaxy S4 and using it on the T-Mobile network (wish me luck).
What would be the best way to unlock the AT&T phone to use a T-Mobile SIM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285431This is what I have found, but I heard something about a USB unlock being more successful.
Once the phone is "Unlocked", and I root the device, should I be using the AT&T ROMs section, or T-Mobile? I'm going to guess AT&T because they are somewhat hardware dependent?
Lastly, will this AT&T version limit my signal in anyway (not accounting for the already possibility of bad signal)?
Meaning the AT&T version only picks up the lesser of the T-Mobile bands or signals.
If I sound like an idiot, I apologize. I've done some research and cant seem to find the right keywords to search.
Thanks in advance for any information.

I'd advise you buy a T-Mobile Galaxy s4. Our bootloader is locked and the newest updafe only has a root exploit and

I am using i337 with tmobiles sim card. I get 4g at over 10mbs and even over 20mbs on some good dsys. I usually use att roms although I've found that i9505 and tmobile work too. Just have to stick with loki'ed kernels. Hope this helps.
It does, thank you.
So look for a ROM with Loki kernels?
And which unlock method did you use to get the T-Mobile SIM to work?
The one above or a different one
Thanks for the info

[Q] Does note 3 N9005 work on Tmobile 4G?

hi,guys!
I want to buy a samsung galaxy note3 N9005,and i'm using Tmobile now.
But i don't know does it compatible to Tmobile 4g/HSPA+ newtork?
i saw in negri electronics,they said it doesn't work in tmobile's 4G.
So can you guys tell me about that? does note 3 N9005 work in Tmobile's 4G?
Thanks a lot.
I thought I read somewhere that the processor is comparable with all current LTE bands and all you had to do was flash a T-Mobile modem.
Don't quote me on that though because I don't want to be responsible for a broken note 3. Try using search on xda or ask in the T-Mobile note 3 forum. I know the info is around here somewhere.

It will work except for LTE, and you might be able to enable the LTE by flashing a T-Mo modem. I have the N900T with an N9005 ROM and it works great, still with T-Mo modem. N9005 ROM doesn't have the LTE indicator but if it says 4G that means LTE.

Galaxy S4 and 4G

Can someone please answer me this question.
I'd like to upgrade my Galaxy S3 to an S4 but I need to be sure of one thing.
Do all S4s come with 4G capability and it's just a matter of whether the operator supports it?
Or are there models which are 3G only?
If yes then how to tell?
I9500 is 3g, i9505 is 4G. You can check the box and see the model number.

Wi-Fi calling on gt-i500

So I'm planning to switch to tmobile from Att and I'm just wondering if the wifi calling works on the gt-i9500. Anyone with the phone on tmobile network mind confirming me on this?
Thanks!
Anyone?
Wifi calling is only in tmo firmwares. So as long as you flash a tmo rom it should work
And do you mean i9505 or i9500? I9505 is identical to the M919. I9500 is completely different tho. Which you'd brick flashing a tmo rom

I'm sorry, mine is i9500. So I'm guessing no wifi calling then? :/
Nope. 9500 use an Exynos 5 Octa chipset. 9505 and tmos uses an Snapdragon 600.
