Root your device and install a custom ROM. Paranoid Android latest version for the Nexus 7 has multiple options for changing the UI phablet, tablet, etc. It also has Halo and PIE toolbars which is awesome! Check this link for more info. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1800268

I just now saw Google nexus running android 4.1 jelly beans .. Used it for few mins.. It is smooth like butter.. Specially liked the notification pulldown options .. It is just an upgraded version of ics.. Couldn't record it as I was monitored by security camera :-(
Hope we will get to taste it soon..

CM10.1 doesn't have that feature last I checked.

Use paranoid android. It has it build in on the pa preferences settings.

I was wondering this too. Founded smaller nav bars but I wanted transparency too. So I'll stick with pa for a while. Maybe this post would be useful. I didn't try these by the way.

Also, Maddoggin rom has it build in on the preferences settings! Very Cool!
I know there's some threads regarding this question but i don't find a concrete answer.
I've flashed SmoothRom only to get tablet ui mode, but once I enable it, only the status bar change. I don't get the new menú icon (top-right) like this pic:
(since i'm a new user, please understand i can't post direct links to images, please put the link all together to see the pics)

My system shows up like this (real photo):
As the title of the topic says, I'm running SmoothROM 5.1
Any hints to get full tablet ui working? thanks
I'm running smoothrom 5.1 and no problems.,
Perhaps you should wipe and reflash

Hi, I just get a hold of nexus 4 today. My previous phone is a ancient samsung i9300 flashed with 4.2.2 custom rom. In the settings menu, there is a section called "Interface" where I can customize the quick settings items, the battery icon and much more. But in nexus 4 I don't see that option. I wonder if those are the features in the custom rom and not in the 4.2.2 device itself.

Can someone please tell me ? thank you!
Those are custom ROM features. Nearly all of the major custom ROMs out there have such settings implemented. (CM, PA, AOKP, etc)
Hello.
Is there any way to get that Camera-Quick launcher from Android 4.4.2 to 4.3?

Do you see the camera launcher on the right side?
(Left: Android 4.3|Right: Android 4.4)
Is there a way to get it on Android 4.3?
I hope what I have requested is possible.
Please, don't ask why i want it on 4.3.
It's a nice feature, but 4.4.2 is very bogus. But i'd like to quick-access my Note 3 camera. (When my FZ1000 is with me, I'll not use my Smartphone-Camera.)
See my thread: Why a camera launcher is always very useful
