What should I check on a 2nd hand HD2?

Hello everyone ,
After my Nexus one died couple of weeks ago , I was looking closely for a decent , cheap alternative (I need no fancy dual core processors) .
Throughout XDA I`ve noticed the HD2 is one of the most versatile phones , software wise , it runs almost any mobile OS -
which got me very interested to buy it .
I would like to know the key aspects regarding the software I should check while buying a 2nd hand HD2 ,
are there different versions of the phone ?
Maybe functions that could stop working after a while which would be easy to not notice ?
Anything as such would be great to know .
I am very excited about this device I must say , it seems to attract a lot of great developers .

I believe that the seller sells the EU version - will the lack of another 512MB within the ROM influence on anything ?
Are there operation systems or programs that could not be installed on the EU version because of that lack ?

this won't influence anything because the only thing for which this is important is big android roms (sense roms) and there you can use an ext partition on your sd card for system files.
it's easier if you don't have to move all of your apps to the sd card and move your dalvik to sd on the tmous version but everything works with the eu version, too.

@DoctorGore I have`nt seen the phone yet , I`m about to purchase it in couple of hours .
I live in europe , hence I believe that this phone had been bought here and is the EU version .
The price is 290$ , which is actually quite decent around here , considering we have 33% taxes on mobile phones .

As DoctorGore said, the digitzer is a common component to malfunction on the HD2. In addition, some other things to look out for are the hardware buttons below the screen, and the volume buttons on the side. Another relatively common problem with the HD2 is cpu overheating, so you'll want to be sure that the phone you're buying doesn't suffer from unexpected freezes, as these are the most common effect of cpu overheating.
If you're just buying the thing off somebody privately, or in a shop, then you should have them show you that it runs fine with no freezes, and push all the buttons to make sure they don't have a sticking or 'too loose' feeling. If you're buying it from someone over the internet, see if they'll make a video for you of all this, I don't think that's too much to ask of someone when you're about to fork over $200 to them

It is the european version as I`ve suspected .
Very happy about the purchase , it feels like a decent alternative to my dead nexus one .

[Q] dual booting on lg g2? any plans?

excuse the question , since i searched the forum and found nothing related to the subject, but is there any dual boot option available for the lg g2?
was thinking about the possibility of running both factory rom (since im very pleased with what lg provided plus a lil tweaking of my own to suit my needs better) and a test/2nd rom (Ex. cm10.2/11/aokp.... )
people are jumping around roms and this might solve a lot of problems people are having due to bad flashes/errors/etc....
anybody around working on it? any plans of something similar?
i know i had that on my old n trust samsung s2 but i couldn't help keeping up with the latest hardware (actually sold my samsung s4 n got the G2 due to many factors. main factor was the s4 simply was an unfinished product)

Note 3 , Note 2 or S4 Active

currently running a Moto X locked bl , pretty boring as smartphones go , my Note i717 is also still active , but i really cant stand being locked down , I actually had a Note 2 , but a long story I dont want to go into about Samsung and my ex anyway , I nevr got to use it, should I go straight to the Note 3 , Note 2 or S4 (no s5, no contracts for me ) , I want the phone that is most accessable to recovery and roms and just having fun , , safestrap is interesting ,but seems irratating as well , like you dont actually have complete control , I may be wrong , anyway , , can the N3 or N2 for that matter , be rid of the bs (clean roms ,etc ) , I dont know might just stay with my i717 , its still rocks and I can change it to damn near anything

New Galaxy S5?

hey!
Guys i'm very new here and I'm using galaxy s4 right now but planning to buy Galaxy S5, but i'm really confused about different models. S, H,M etc
can you help me and tell which one to buy and which one better if their's a difference. all of phones to me with different models are unlocked.
also on a side note, some friends telling me to buy Note 3 instead of Galaxy S5, said its better, i read and saw some reviews but to me seems like using S4 with screen and Spen yeah have 3 GB of ram instead of 2. but other than that nothing new to Note 3 unlike Galaxy S5, more camera features and new layout.
which one would you suggest

G900F is unlocked

what the difference between G900H, G900F Etc.. any hardware change that i should know. because in my country there is only 3G right no 4G so that wont effect my decison.

Beginner needing some guidance in how to confirm editon and also how to flash etc

Well, the thread name wasnt what i wanted but hopefully people find it interesting and check anyway
A couple years back when the S3 and S4 were new i used to do this to my phones, emui was what i installed.
Anyway, years have gone by and i remember exactly nothing of how to do it.
I have checked some videos ytube but it doesnt really feel 100% secure going just by a video for a samsung s4 or whatever samsung device they choose to show it with.
Anyway, what i want is to flash(correct term) ressurection rom on my phone.
Can you guys please help and maybe help me along the wathe phone this is about:

android version 6.0.1
basebandversion G900FXXS1CQD (I think basebandversion is the correct term in english..=)
Is there anything else you know?
I would be very pleased if someone could warn me for differenet dangers and also other things to think about and also HOW TO do it either by writing it or linking to a place that is 100% verified to work. I DONT want to brick my 1600$reserve phone but i also want it to have a better look and feel more up to date so to speak.
I really admire the things you can do to your phone with resurrection ROM. Talk about what a possibility to make a little bit out of fashion phone up to fasion, MY fasion!
Please do remember i have done this before but that has left my memory totally blank regarding this.
I´m a newb i phone tech talk etc but im not dumb per se, computers and phones arent my thing, engines and building speakers and now im entering into the realm of building a power and pre amplifier so tech savvy i am, at my interests.
Phones, are phones. But i still like to have them work and look alot more better and a adore the ability to customise as much as is possible with ressurection rom.
Feel fre to post suggestions on other ROMs too!! Keep in mind that i do not game AT ALL. I call, sms, surf and such but dont do anything creating super high capacity speed. But i still dont whant a slow phone.
But main thing here is help in making my phone as customizable as possible.
