I was looking into that as well. I've installed CyangenMod and was missing the Samsung Keyboard.
Now i switched to the Google Keyboard (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2312179) which is basically the same. Still, the top row with numbers is missing, but now you've got more space

Its not only the numbers on top. Has predictive in greek, can login to my social media profiles to learn how i use the typing and what words use.
Samsung keyboard is the most smartest application in android.
Samsung keyboard
Is there anyway to import the Samsung keyboard from Omega rom v24 to this one? i really miss this keyboard especially with the predictive words...TNX

I don't know if I'm the only one who experiences this, but I absolutely hate the feature on the keyboard where if you hold on a letter it opens the popup showing characters like 'ß ï à'
So is there a way to remove those special characters completely from the keyboard?
use the htc keyboard

the htc keyboard has the same feature...
yes, except it actually pops up with something useful, better than the android keyboard that pops up with characters you would never use, with the htc keyboard, at least i can use puncutation without having to hit alt every tiem.

Too bad that's not what i asked for. I asked if there was a way to remove that functionality from the keyboard.
But its okay now cause I found a hero Rom that I get ALL texts and mms so this thread can be closed =)
i do i switched to the gingerbread keyboard and its 10 times better
Switch to swype, its preloaded, not sure why it wasn't the default.
how do you get the gingerbread one?
biggest thing i hate is the size of the keys and that its a white background, i want a black background
I hate swype, id delete if i could

I hate the gingerbread keyboard. Had the Nexus S for two weeks and the buttons were too small....
this stock keyboard is way to laggy, it's almost like trying to type on swype without swyping. You try to type high and all you get is igh, it likes to not place the first letter
Smart Keyboard Pro gets my vote
Has anyone used Better keyboard on the atrix yet?

Had to look it up myself:

I agree with you on the black keyboard AND deleting Swype - my clumsy ass fingers just don't know what the hell they're doing with all that drawing across the keyboard all the time!! haha
I have the paid GB keyboard from the market and he keys are much smaller on the Atrix as compared to the Captivate and Inspire. I guess its a scaling issue with the new pixel count. I cannot use it as well and the crappy stock keyboard. I guess I will try another solution. I hate Swype as well.
Gingerbread keyboard, Swype is garbage.
I feel like the send button is really poor placement. I constantly hit the smiley face button when trying to send a message. Is there any way to move the buttons around? or is there another keyboard that has the send button near the "return" key area
On the regular Android (English (US)) keyboard, even with "Vibrate on keypress" enabled in its settings, it still doesn't give haptic feedback when typing. Everything else that has vibration in the OS works though.
I think it worked back on the stock HC OS though.
Can this be enabled/fixed??
Bump, anyone? I miss keyboard feedback
Is this ROM an official release?
If so, where can I find it.

No this is the leaked 3G version in the dev forum. Works great tho cept for a few things like this. Anyone know how to get the vibration to work on this keyboard? I love that it has a dark theme...

Still No feedback, official release
I have the official Touchwiz release, stock rom non rooted and I don't have haptic feedback either.
The Samsung Keyboard is anything but usable if the XT9 is on as it corrects everything including passwords you type in websites and it is very buggy on some text fields (after typing the whole word in a text box only the first letter appears).
Anyone find a fix to get the Android keyboard to vibrate???

I'm in the same boat as you, except I get no haptic feedback on both android and samsung keyboards! Wonder if they disabled it for some reason in the Touchwiz release..

Well, I am using the Thumb Keyboard on my 2ifi GT10.1 and its working with it's feedback settings:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.beansoft.keyboardplus&feature=search_result
I was using it not because of the feedback but due to the great split keyboard and ability to store common strings for quick entry. If you are also shopping for a new keyboard app this may kill two birds for you.
i have the same issue on the official touchwiz rom.
Hi all, my first post on here. I picked up my S4 last Friday (UK on Vodafone) and I've been loving it ever since, its a massive step forwards from my old HTC Desire.
Anyway, the only thing that's really bugging me so far is the stock keyboard auto-correct. I've got it set-up to auto-correct when I hit the space bar but I'm running into a problem, I'm typing too fast for the keyboard. For example I type "the" and hit space, yet auto-correct is still offering me "th" as it hasn't caught up so instead of "the" I get it auto-corrected to "th". If I slow down a little it works fine but this is missing the point.
I know I can switch the keyboard so SwiftKey, which I had on the HTC, but before I do that I wondered if there's a way to speed up the auto-correct?
can you tell me how you set it up to auto correct?
i came from the htc one and really liked the keyboard and the fact that it would auto correct most things but i find with the s4 that it gives me the a correct spelling of the word in blue above the keys but does not seem to insert it into the text ive written.
thanks
Yeah where's this option

Settings, Language and Input, Samsung keyboard settings, enable Predictive Text then pick the Autoreplacement option
A mate has just tried using the "swipe" like input method on his S4, it makes the auto-correct lag issue look simple. Its so bad that its effectively unusable for quick text entry!
I've found it sometimes to be SLOW. as in , i type a whole word like KEYBOARD, and the predictive text didn't keep up and it replaced my word with "."
then sometimes, i've found the keyboard to be super QUICK!. not sure what the hell is going on.
This sounds like a bug. how do we notify samsung?
clearing the customized learning makes it REALLY QUICK, but then you lose your common words.
even you type a word in like KEYBOARD carefully and slowly it will replace it with its default word...
stupid really. if i typed it in slower and careful, i dont want it to be replaced.

Yeah, I'm back on SwiftKey now and its much faster. But I like the Samsung keyboard, specifically having the numbers as separate keys above the QWERTY 'board. Oh well, I guess I'll have to see if the software update has made any difference

I have no autoreplacement option. AT&T SGS4.
I was watching a video on YouTube about the phone and I saw that the guy has a comma between the setup button and the space bar. I do not have it and I found no option.
PS: I have a theme applied that's why the keyboard looks flat.

Here it is.
And here..
Really that's a mystery...
No comma
Press and hold your settings button and a pop up will open so that you can select a comma or emoticons or other things ?

This I know but it's not what I want.
As you can see from others' screenshots, I want an extra comma button between the gear button and the space bar.

If you are able to change the dpi, try lower dpi. My dpi is at 460.
I don't think the guy in the video has non standard dpi
By the way, do you have problems with these dpi
