All the downloaded album art should be permanently attached to my songs, so that that every other player shows the album art.
Plz, give me some names of these type of apps.

iTag is good but you need to add album arts and tags yourself and one after one not all at the same time.
N7Player can handle all the songs at the same time.

Well I know the stock sense 3.5 music player allows you too... I fairly certain the 3.0 would too

Here are a few examples of music players (or media players) if you need more ideas. I'm not sure if they do what you want though.

I have system sounds, ring tones and app sounds that showed up in player. does anyone know if I can safely delete them
Sent from my SGH-I337M using xda app-developers app
anyone?
Sent from my SGH-I337M using xda app-developers app
guess I'll try to delete them like I did with the random pictures that showed up in the gallery
Sent from my SGH-I337M using xda app-developers app
did anyone else run into this problem

I have a similar problem as you do however my music app is not showing system files or ringtone files but rather game ogg files. I installed puzzle quest 2 and now all of its ogg audio files are showing up in the music app. They are located in this folder on the internal memory storage at Android/obb/com.NamcoNetworks.PuzzleQuest2Android/files/sounds/music and I was looking for a way to exclude the Android/obb folder all together from being scanned but I didn't see this as an option. I do play this game so I don't want to delete these files to clear them from the music player. I would be grateful if anyone can provide insight. This S4 is my first Android phone coming over from an iPhone so I am anxious to learn!

Seems like a nomedia file may be missing in those system folders, or whatever samsung uses to keep the video player or gallery from seeing system sounds/video.
Thank you Joeybear that did the trick for me! After a quick search on exclusionary files I found that adding an empty .nomedia file to each folder via ES File explorer cleared all unwanted files from the music player.:thumbup:

The stock one in S4 is pretty awesome with many eqs and adapt sound.
That's pretty much personal preference.

Right, the only missing thing for me is the lyrics : how can i activate them without having to install an alternative music player ?

Poweramp for me. There's lyrics as well.

Yeah, that's why i've installed it - but after a week i uninstalled it :
Transaction effect between songs isn't good for ears.
Don't have 'Smart functions'.. I couldn't fully enjoy my S4. But it have Lyrics and that's good

Also anyone noticed that in stock player after reaching sound volume 13 Adapt sound stops working
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
Is Adapt Sound system wide or is it just in supported apps?
Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Just in supported apps : Calls, Stock video and music player.

I don't know about samsung's fancy gestures or what not... But I know Poweramp is The best music player for audiophiles /music lovers . Full EQ seamless interface , so many customization options , native dsp option , superb widget customization options... I mean this app has it all . The crossfade settings can be adjusted in the settings if you don't like the default option and gestures can be added through an external app... I think the name is wave player or something... Google it :S
I use poweramp. I bought poweramp. I think is the best in android right now. I like the ideea of adapt sound but I like to know if the sound is aplied to all players after initial setup or only in samsung original player. I like to use adapt sound with poweramp.

Any recommendations on where to find cool ringtones ? the android ones are awful! also I was expecting the option to choose a music track as a ringtone but was limited only to the actual ringtones..is there a way to choose music instead?
You can put your music files in the Ringtones folder on the sdcard and then you will be able to choose that ringtone.
They're also apps with which you can choose a music file regardless of location.

Try checking your Google+ album, because normally Google+ saves the pictures you send and receive.
Thats what i had done in the past and has worked for me.
Give it a try.
