Staples is sold out but you might still get the coupon for future use
Been looking around and not sure if this is the BEST deal but this is the best I could find.
First get this Staples coupon: (you pay $7.5 for $15 gift card)
$7.50 For A $15 Staples® Gift Card
Then Staples hasthe pre-order for the 16GB version with free shipping:
Google Nexus 7 16GB Tablet (Pre-sale Only)
Once you add the order into the cart, you'll see it says expected delivery is 7/12-17. You can apply the gift card at the checkout for a net of $7.5 saving.
Note: Just found out that this is not an instant discount. After you purchase, they'll send you the gift card by mail and then you can use it to redeem at staples.com.
Additional note: I found the coupon through bigcrumbs.com For those who doesn't know about this site, it's the 100% legit cash back site supports tons of vendor online. Below are the available cash back it offers for the vendors that sells Nexus 7:
Office Depot - up to 4.2% you can use following free item coupon (not sure if you can combine them all)
336010166 - Large Beach Tote Bag or Burt's Bees Head/Toe Kit
823541225 - Dane Butter Cookies
156437297 - Free Mystery Gift
595897257 - $15 Gas card
Adorama - up to 2.8%
GameStop - up to 3.5%
Walmart - up to 2.8% cashback (crrently pre-order only)
MacMall - up to 2.8% cashback
If Best Buy ever decide to sell the Nexus 7, the bigcrumbs offers 4.2% cash back.
Again, if you want to get cash back, you must sign up with bigcrumbs.com and find vendor in the site and go through its own links.

I am not associated with bigcrumbs but thought online shoppers might benefit from this place.
Edit:
Just found out bigcrumbs also have 2.8 cashback from Adorama.com which also has the nexus 7 for pre-order.

Just remember that if you have a Staples in your state you have to pay taxes.
This deal would still cost me about 270$
yea tax is the big killer.. but at least free shipping. too bad I missed out on the J&R deal someone else posted.
Staples' expected delivery date is interesting. Not sure if this implies delivery for all pre-orders or this is for Staples only.
Cool find, i would be buying a Nexus 7 since i no longer want android phones
We're so spoiled in Oregon, no Sales Tax and it's against the law for us to pump our own gas, we have to sit and let the attendants do it for us.
Thanks for the finds!
You really could have mentioned that it takes them 24 hours to generate the coupon code and it's not an instant ordeal.

Nexus 7 for a flat $249.00 no taxes in my case.
MacMall has it to pre order for a flat $249.00 for the 16gig http://www.macmall.com/ I've ordered a lot of things from them and never had a problem thus for.
Using my last yearly associate computer related hardware discount on this and just got a $27 gift card from a warranty on a hard drive that's still good...
Hope to walk out the door spending $200 or less

Anyone pre-ordered Nexus 7 from Staples.com ?
I am seeing this in my order status.
We're sorry, but problems with your order may prevent us from delivering it on time.
That is probably because Google told everyone to wait until they said so

this last minute hold is messing up those vendor's check out process. The word is most places will start taking new per-order and shipping again next week.
Updated some free item coupon on 1st page you can use on your office depot order.
walmart is starting the pre-order as well with less than $1 shipping. see 1st post for details.
For those asking if you still get the $25 google wallet credit the answer is YES :good:
Staples is now taking orders on the website with 2 day delivery, you can also locate stores that have it in stock, but call the store first as the store I tried today said they weren't allowed to sell until next week (probably Monday) even though they have them in stock.
If "you" work for Walmart you can get 10% off, and you can pay when pickup at Walmart now s mabey preorder and pay when pickup at site to store

I was the one who found the original deal and posted it to slickdeals. Check there since I now have posted a cheaper filler for 88cents.
Sorry I can't link to the 88cent product because I'm a new member.
88 cent filler http://www.brandsmartusa.com/ProductViewer.aspx?mid=144926
but the site hasn't accepted the Nexus 7 order for a few hours now. refers to customer service phone number instead.
This deal is sexy! If only I never got my Nexus 7. Oh well.

When the Nexus 7 was released it was/is sold in several brick and mortar stores, but only the 16gb version.
I'd like to buy the Nexus 10 from Best Buy as I have several gift cards there. For some reason the Nexus 7 was never sold by Best Buy USA at all. (BB Canada supposedly had them)
What other stores will the Nexus 10 be sold at? Any news on this? I like to try things out before I spend a big chunk of change on them.

Save your gift cards for video games! Save some tax $$ ($25 bucks for me) and get it from Google directly or Newegg. If you've used any other Android tablet then the Nexus 10 will be better than that (one exception might be the Transformer Infinity).
They would still pay the same tax if they bought $400 in videos games or a $400 tablet.
Newegg taxes me (NJ), and I think Google does as well. Amazon is where it's at for me... until next summer when the North Jersey Governor's plan to gain 20 jobs from Amazon in order to promote double dipping on taxes (I have problems with sales tax).
Walmart (only 32GB available).
ebay
Discounting continues; by midsummer I wouldn't be surprised to see the Note 8 selling at 300.
sales on Ebay has brand new, 25 dollar play store credit eligible note 8's on sale for $349 today, with free shipping:
MOD EDIT
At a total cost of 325 including the Play credit, these Notes are less costly than the iPad mini.
I wish they would start discounting them in the UK. No way I'm paying £340 for one!
I would imagine they would shift a lot of units here if the dropped the price to less than £300.
Back to $398 now at that link
If you go brick and mortar OfficeMax has a coupon that works in store to get 20% off any tablet this week. You can print the coupon off from their website. For some reason the code the coupon says you can use online only works on select tablets.

I was just able to purchase one at OfficeMax this evening using the 20% discount. Paid $319 + tax.
The store didn't have one in stock, but they ordered one that will ship direct to me for free in 1 to 3 business days.
If you try to purchase it online the coupon will not work. But will work in the store. The coupon's good thru June 8th.
Coupon works in store

Based on what you posted I went to Office Max at lunch time and scored my Note 8. 0. They had it in stock. Cashier was surprised that the coupon worked. I was Going to try and hold out for the brown/black model that is allegedly coming out soon but this deal was too good to pass up

Found a link to a 20% off coupon for Office Max. I used one a few weeks ago exactly like this to get a price match at Office Depot, since it's closer to me. That how I got my 32GB Nexus 7 2013 for just over $200. Tablets and ereaders are specifically included on this coupon, so go nuts. Office Depot and Best Buy both have specific inclusions for Office Max price matches.
