[Q] Customizing the Dialer colors/theme - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hi, I was just wondering if there was a way to customize the colors/theme for the Dialer/keypad on the S4. I mean, I know I can get a theme and edit it myself manually, but I was wondering if there was something that could do the same for the phone/dialer that noattch xposed and 3minit can do for the statusbar and dropdown statusbar. Just customize the color scheme, that way I could play around with it until I found something I liked. Thanks!

[Q] Changing Start Menu icons?

I have been modding my HTC maple all freaking day.(Blackberry style)
They only thing I have not been able to do if modify the icons in the start menu.
I did find one pre-done. but I didn't really like the icons. Is there a way I could do them myself?
thanks!

Wallpaper transparency

Does anyone have clue, why when i use stock wallpaper the status bar is transparent, and when i use custom one it's not?
Thanks in advance.
Its coded that way in your lg home theme. If you change wallpaper it will add shaded notification on top of your new wallpaper. If you don't like that then you can use root explorer to modify any of the available themes out there. Or even easier would be to use exposed for G2

Hey. I think there is no way to change status bar icons without root and xposed. Maybe you should think root your phone for changing your device's looks. Check out mine and good luck.

Disable rounded icons?

Hello all,
I was wondering if there is a way to disable the rounded icons from nokia.
For example the play store icons (and various others) come with this circle arround the icon instead the normal icon in the form of the logo.
Thanks.
Not likely. You can alter themes mostly in Custom ROMs, which Nokia 5 doesn't have.
You can download custom launcher like nova or lawnchair (stock launcher with more customization), which support custom icon packs.

You can disable them by modifiying framework-res.apk but it requires root.

Looking for theme for lockscreen only

I'm looking for a UI theme that can be applied to my phone which would only change the lockscreen portion, and leave the rest of the existing theme (icons, homescreen, settings, phone, contacts, etc) unchanged.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo model SM-G903W (Canada), running Android Nougat 7.0 and Samsung Experience 8.1 with TouchWiz Home 6.1.85.12. I am rooted, with TWRP.
I really dislike the standard theme lockscreen clock, which shows hours stacked on top of minutes.
The Samsung store has themes with a normal digital clock, but I don't want to change the rest of my UI, only the lockscreen. (I know I can install the new theme, then overwrite the icons and wallpaper with my old theme, but the settings menu and so forth remain with the new theme.)
Can anyone point me to a theme that only overwrites the lockscreen?
I'm talking about the clock format, not the lockscreen wallpaper (which is trivial to change).
Otherwise, is it possible to extract the lockscreen portion of a theme and install only that? It looks like Samsung themes are a closed system and development tools are hard to come by, so I'm not sure if any of the "Basic APK & Theming Thread" in the XDA-University forum is applicable. Advice on whether I can modify the theme myself would be appreciated. If this is something that would be simple to change using Sungstratum, then that could be an option.
Other ways to get a normal clock, which I have rejected:
- Install a new lockscreen app -- I'm happy with the functionality of the Samsung default lockscreen (except the ugly clock!)
- Create a permanent notification, which causes the clock to display on one line -- I don't want to have the notification
- Downgrade to Android 6 -- I'd like to stay with Nougat
- Samsung Good Lock app -- not compatible with Nougat on the S5 Neo
Thanks for any help,
Justin
