Sony Xperia Tablet Z 16GB LTE 2 days old with screen issue
I just got time to play around with it and I notice screen flickering.
I was expecting better quality and better build. Very disappointed !
Shop want me to bring it over and i may need to send for service or replace 1 x 1

Bought one at best buy a while ago, quickly returned it. Car mode didn't automatically launch and the 4g model is a pain to take out of the dock

Generic mounts never seem to fit as well and are unnecessarily bulky for me. I see your point though if you don't mind their size / form factor.

I love this dock it's only $49.99 (I saw it here).
Bought this @ Best Buy a few weeks ago and I like it. Very sturdy and comes with a car charger.
You could just use this one for 8.99 and from Kensington.
I've used it with my previous phone (EVO) and the Nexus S 4G, also have had random other similarly sized electronics in it (Ipod) and it works perfectly

the car dock mode didnt launch on the 4g, so i tried a regular magnet on the back of the phone to see if it the phone could even auto launch the car dock and no luck. That's a bummer but i always exited out of the car dock mode on my original droid so i dont think ill miss it.
Where can you buy a single NFC chip? i see packs of them on amazon but i only really need a couple
So my nexus is lagging espically in the play store, in the stock launcher and in some other aspects of the os, how can i fix this? i reset the device already, and changed some settings in developers options but didnt help much. Should i return the tablet as i might have a lemon?
Am I the only one experiencing lag on my nexus?

This is at least the 3rd thread you started with a problem. 2 were for lag, one was overheating. If you have all these issues, return it.
mine seems fine. do you play games on yours? maybe something is running in the background?
Do a factory reset. Mine has zero lag

looks like i will, will stop by at sams club to get a 16gb as i have an 8 gb, or office depot and by it, kinda annoyed how everyone is enjoying this n7 and i got a lemon, hopefully i wont get a lemon from sams club

You need wifi on the tablet and service on the phone but they don't have to be on the same network or connected by bluetooth

Couldn't get tablet talk to work properly. Tried dinamotxt and works like a charm between my n7 and n4. Bluetooth is required for setup but then allows you to turn it off which is nice on battery life.
Tablet talk /desksms never gave me any problems weird lol just looked and I use tablet sms haha

anybody knows what this wakelock is?
its always keeping my phone awake for 3 to 5 hours when im not using it
its killing my battery life, because my phone is practically unable to sleep
i tried google but all i get are secril fd results
if anyone knows what this is or how to fix it would be a big help

i do know it, i have been investigating about it without much success.
Mainly i can make it dissapear for half day if i use WIFI, once wifi is enabled the wake lock dissapears when i stop using wifi or do an experiment with it.
but somehow the error comes back once in a while, after a reboot, or after charging it.
no kernel fix it, no Rom fix it, im putting my hopes on CM

i removed fast dormancy and ril-fd is no more (im on crash rom atm where i found a cooked setting to turn off FD).
so this might be related to fast dormancy, i dont want to root this phone yet for certain reasons so i might try switching carriers, maybe it'll help

there are pre-rooted stock roms which are not supposed to increase the flash counter.
And i confirmed it, i toggled FD and the wakelockappeared, changed roms and tried that again, and the WL dissapeared.
But still my battery life sucks though, getting a honami when its out.

honami is the code name for the i1(naming confirmation pending from sony, will be disclosed at IFA or so we hope).
after A LOT of hate which went throught the phone, i updated the arrow rom to 5.1, deactivated FD, and nothing,i was getting 10% in 3 hours, for some reason i dont remember i rebooted the phone, and the darn phone still have the same charge from yesterday te phone have 24 hours of uptime (taking in account i have done some serious undervolt to the phone). i was getting about an hour per % an a half with hangouts and whatsapp freezed and in NO use or just checking the bat.
Not bad but too much work to have a "regulary updated" phone to work properly.
now i dont even know what will happen when i recharge the phone again what kind of behaivor will have this darn non-optimized phone I'll be reporting what happens.

The Z2/Z3 received a new update to fix some bugs, we might get it too but I'm wondering why the normal Z1 has no new certification
Not sure. But maybe that is what they were waiting for before moving forward with the Z1s.

I'm impatiently waiting for the update as well. I just got the 2nd Lollipop update on my Z2 Tablet and I really like what Sony did.
I'm hoping that the Z1s will get some better performance when we do finally get the update.
Also, has anyone actually tried flashing a regular Z1 Lollipop firmware to the Z1s? I know with Kit Kat firmware the radio/Bluetooth/WiFi didn't work. Any chance that would've changed with the new firmware? I would love to run a stock Z1 firmware since T-mobile messed with a few things (removed Bluetooth tethering, for one).
I just hope we aren't waiting as long as we did last time. I am excited to see the new stuff. Have any of you had the interment touch screen issue with your Z1s? If so did you find a fix?

This is the third Z1S certification now - ultimately with KitKat it was the fourth that got pushed out. As for me, I continue to have the touch screen issue, and have yet to find a resolution for it.
I haven't noticed any touchscreen issues on my Z1s. I just have problems with memory management - It seems like every few times I go back to the home screen, it has to redraw the icons.
I guess we will see. For me I'm just curious how long it will take. Love my phone but pretty sure I will be getting another brand next time.
