Comparing latest PA with 4.3 stock - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has any one compared latest PA 4.3 with OTA stock 4.3?
Thanks in advance

There are a couple of bugs which are stated in the OP of PA and I'm getting a touch of stuttering here and there but the features of PA make up for that. If you're concerned about stability then just wait a week or so before flashing.

Im using PA since i bought N4. Was using stock for 1 month and since then, im on PA.
Ill give it a try i think.
Thanks for your reply.

Thanks in advance

Compared about what?. Battery life, performance, tweaks, customizations...?.

Compared about those things youve just mentioned, and about stability in total..

Carbon vs liquidsmooth

Planning on flashing one of these ROMs (or another if you can suggest a better one) but not sure which to go for. Now I know there is no best ROM but if you can explain the differences then at east I can make an educated decision (as I know these 2 are branches from what were once 1 group of developers.) I tend to prioritise battery, customisation and smoothness and must also be stable for daily use.
Thanks in advance

You really couldn't separate them on performance, stability & battery. I think carbon has more frequently updated nightlies. Features? Both packed.
So I can't really loose then?

Get carbon.

Nexus 4 spoiled me

I just go a nexus 7 yeah I know a little late but I got it as a gift so is it just me or is it a little slower than the nexus 4 I'm currently running paranoid android because I love the tablet ui. Any ideas? I already put trinity kernel on it, I'm thinking its pa slowing it down but I'm not sure.

Purity Rom is faster. Pa was not working well for me too.
Try that Rom.

just got me a nexus 4 recently, Ive had my n7 since December. yep, N7 is slower but it's not a fair comparison considering their hardware. +1 for purity, doesn't have a ton of features but is very smooth and doesn't bog down after a while
+1 For Purity too.
But if you still feel that it's not fast enough try m-kernel with a little overclocking should be really close to the N4 in term of responsive.

So I have steered away from pa and all things are fast and responsive going to try the m-kernel next thanks everybody.

[Q] Best Kernel for Project KitKat (KRT16S)?

I was curious if there was a really good kernel for my ROM that I could flash over. That's all!

Franco Kernel and it's companion app is great. So is Faux Kernel and it's companion app.
It's still too early to say, all the kernels are still just taking baby steps with 4.4.

All the above suggested kernels plus AK.207.KK and hells-Core-b42-t4. Each of all the above is a GREAT kernel.
Flash any of them, configure it to your own preferences. Try it for a few days or longer. From the assessment (performance/battery life/smoothness/etc) you'll determine which kernel works BEST for you.

I have. And I still think it's going to take a few iterations until the kernel makers really start optimizing their product.

Differences Between Purity And Rastakat

Hi i was just wondering if there are any notable software differences/goals between Purity 4.4.1 and Rastakat 4.4.1. Both look like very good Roms and have a tough time deciding which one would be better suited for me.
Try them both and find out.

could someone provide screenshots of both roms
