Could you give a few more details? Which RUU did you flash, how did you flash it, what were you on before, were you S-OFF, etc? What happened right after flashing the RUU?
The red triangle and exclamation mark is what you'll see if you try to boot in to recovery when there is no custom recovery on the phone, e.g. if you have flashed a stock RUU. Have you pulled the battery and tried booting again? Can you boot in to bootloader by turning the phone on while holding vol down button?

The exclamation mark that you see is your stock recovery....when you see that exclamation mark with an android bot in it...press both the Vol Up + Vol Down buttons at once...
This will get you into the stock recovery and you will see certain options in blue text....there hit the factory data reset and wipe the cache and then try rebooting your phone normally....
I had the same problem and following the steps i mentioned above resolved the issue...
Do let me know if it worked !!
Thanks

In my post above I wrote that i solve the problem, but thanks for your advice and help....
I got a notification that I could install the 4.4 update, so I went ahead with installing it. After downloading the update, I got the android with a red triangle with an exclamation point in it, saying "error." I tried holding down power + volume up + volume down and selected "start." After that, I got a "no command" message with the android with a red triangle and exclamation point. I cannot reboot into recovery; trying to do so just brings me back to the "no command" message. I tried "rebooting bootloader" but that also just brought me back to the "no command" message. Powering down the device and restarting it also just brings me back to the "no command" message... If I just leave it on the "no command" message for a few minutes, it attempts to reboot but always just ends back up on the "no command" message. I don't know what to do.
Other information that may be relevant is that I was unlocked and rooted on 4.2, but updating to 4.3 caused me to lose root. I had TWRP as a custom recovery when I was on 4.2, but honestly am not sure if it stuck when I updated to 4.3.
Can anyone give me ideas for how to fix this and get my N10 back up and running? Thanks in advance.
Use a toolkit or fastest to flash stock image. Flashing recovery might work as well.

Please get the OTA file for us all.
I'd love to upload the 4.4 factory image, but I cannot even boot up the device. Later I'm going to try using the wugfresh toolkit to flash the 4.3 factor image and see what I can do from there.
If possible could you flash a custom recovery first, and backup the /cache partition? :good:
I'm running into this problem as well. It's driving me nuts. I've flashed both the 4.2 and 4.3 factory images and no matter what I do I can't get to recovery. I either get "no command" or just the error Android with no text. Any tips would be hugely appreciated.

I was finally able to fix my N10, so hopefully this can help you, too. I downloaded the latest version of Wugfresh's Nexus toolkit and was able to flash the 4.3 factory image. When I first did it, I still had the red exclamation android with no text, and thought the install failed, even though the tool said it was successful. (I should have been more patient and let it reboot on its own.) So I did the process over again, redownloading everything. After that went through, I still had the red exclamation android with no text, but just let it sit for about 30-60 seconds and it rebooted on its own. FINALLY, it booted up and everything works fine. I'm running stock unrooted at the moment. Now, the problem I have is that I cannot get the 4.4 OTA anymore!!! I guess I will have to keep waiting for the OTA.

Thanks for the follow up. Turns out, I'm just dumb. I was getting the Android with the ! most of the time, and "no command' for a little while, even after using Wugs to flash factory images and even doing it manually. The "no command" was most likely just a bad flash. The rest of the time there was nothing wrong at all. Turns out, to get to stock recovery you just have to tap Power + Vol-Up while at that 'Android with a !' screen. I was expecting it to go straight to recovery. Now I feel foolish.
EDIT: Then I just sideloaded the update from stock recovery. 4.4, woot.
My phone is stuck on Samsung Galaxy S4 logo, and i cant enter in recovery mode, to do a hard reset or a factory restore.
Is there another way to solve this? the s4 turns on and off, but dont pass over the logo of samsung, download mode work fine, but i install a rom and he stuck in logo.
Any help please

Did you try and flashed rom again ( odin) ?? another option would be to flash (odin) a custom recovery see if it let you enter it and do a factory reset ..only problem is it will trigger your knox bit to 1..
@lloop: Are you completely stock, or did you attempt to install a custom recovery? The behavior you describe is identical to the behavior witness by myself and others when trying to install TWRP 2.8.5.0 on the S4.
One other thing that might help here. On occasion I've had the device get stuck in recovery. Going into download mode, cancelling download mode, and then holding down the buttons to go into recovery often works.

Hi
What model S4 you have? what stock rom you flashed ( version number)? and what custom recovery you tried to flash?
Hey XDA!
Got my Nexus into some trouble today. I Was running stock rooted 5.0.2, received an OTA update for 5.1. Ran the update and it sent me to my TWRP 3.0 recovery. Restarted the device and found out the update did not work, leaving me at 5.0.2. Ran the update again like a tard, took my to the stock bootloader. TWRP is now no where to be found... In fact there is no recovery to be found. When I select the recovery option in the bootloader it goes to black screen then redirects back to the bootloader. When I select the "start" option, it's reboots the device taking me to the bootloader. I have attempted a hard restart with the power button but the device hangs on the Google logo forever. I have tried to use the Nexus Root Tool but it can't help me since the device won't connect via fastboot, or ADB.
Any help is appreciated.
Hallo,
got the same problem, how did you resolve it ??? Thanks a lot ...
Same here. I can't connect to the device by no means. How did you solve your problem?

you mention it wont connect via fastboot but you can still reboot with the pwr + vol- to get menus of some kind.. ? if the screen is backlite even just a blank screen but you can see it light up theres still hope. All i can say is try to reboot the device into fastboot an then try Nexus Root Toolkit an see if you can reset to Factory to restore the stock recovery partition along with reset the OS to which ever you select and start over .. Good Luck Flashing... the only way i can say your SOL is if when you plug it into your PC an it pops up with the error "Device Malfunctioned,....." then you SOL Good Luck Flashing :good:
EDIT: Sorry didnt notice it was resolved in the title..
