I had an S4 for about a month and it had bad banding on white and gray background, like vertical lines going down the screen. Do you guys experience this?

Hello, I'm unsure if this is the place to ask but I didn't find a more suitable place. Also, forgive my low post count, I only recently made this account. Cheers!
My question today is a minor one. Is the black S4 truly black, like the black in which the original S and S2 were made? Or does it have a blue tint, like on the commercial pictures, or is the tint just there for marketing aesthetics?

The black is more of a carbon fiber gray.
Is there anyway to get rid of it? If you don't know what I mean, look up the Django trailer or side effects trailer on YouTube and notice the dark seems look very pixely at certain parts. Touch wiz looks bad but aosp doesn't look as bad so I know it could be fixed somehow... The note 2 was great with this and the s3 became better with an update...
