Hey guys. I was wondering is there a way when I open up Google now to automatically pop up the keyboard? When I disable Google now and I use Google search the keyboard pops up automatically.

Is there a way to search within text messages using either the stock messaging app or the in-built google search? Example: I know I recieved a text message with the word 'theater' in it. Can I somehow search all my text messages for the word theater.
I'm almost certain I had this feature with my G1, Nexus One, and Nexus S... Did Google take it out?

You can search using the stock messaging app. Using the search function.

Thanks, guys.
Can't believe I missed that, it was right in front of me!
Is it me or i dont know how to use the "undo" text function? I send a lot of emails via my Nexus 4; sometime I like to undo the text I delete. If not any third party apps?
Thanks.

Well, I am looking for an sms app with pop-up, which would appear for only few seconds and then automatically disappear. The thing is that when I am driving and using satnav on the phone I need an ability to read quickly sms but I do not want to poke my finger to the phone trying to get rid of them.
There's an sms app called QKSMS, it has a banner notification. But it's an app currently in development. You may search it in Google plus to jion the test community and download it.

Hi,
Couldn't find an answer to this.
My text/SMS messages get deleted after a certain limit is reached when using Google Messages. I don't see an option to stop this from happening. Google Messages on my non-Samsung device (Nexus 5) doesn't delete anything.
Is there a setting somewhere I can change to prevent any texts from being deleted?
Thanks.

if you go into the messaging setting by clicking the 3 little dots in the upper right corner then click on settings..then on .ore settings..there is an option that you can turn off for auto delete of messages

This doesn't exist in Android Messages (by Google) - at least not the version I have (2.4.035).
That option is there for the Samsung app but greyed out for me since I have the Google app set as default messaging app.
I've set the Samsung app as default, turned off the auto delete, then assigned Android Messages as default again. I'll see if that changes anything but I don't see why settings in a Samsung app should change my Google apps.
