[Q&A] TouchWiz Theming Question Thread

This thread is dedicated to TouchWiz theming questions. Theming the S4 is similar, but not identical, across the major carriers. So, I thought it would be best if we had one here for AT&T.
The purpose of this thread is not for me to answer your questions (of course I will help if I can), but to make this a community effort and hopefully minimize the number of theming questions posted.
The S3 theming Q&A thread is a great place to get started since theming both devices are similar. Also, be sure to check out the VZW S4 thread.
Please search both of the above threads before posting questions.

Does anyone know if the lockscreen time and date are a xmk or image? In the sg3 they were a png but I havent been able to find it and im also looking for what controls the swipe to unlock text

I haven't made any changes to the lockscreen yet, but it looks like what you want is a combination of pngs (time) and xmls (date) in framework-res and SecSettings.

Ok thanks I haven't had much time to continue diging in to it. I have a day off this weekend maybe ill poke around the SecSettings

Assuming this device is the same as the S3, you just need to theme FlashBarService.apk.

The time itself are images. The date and such is XML. All is in the KeyguardWidget.apk.

Nope, I didn't explain clearly.
For the S3 you would mod FlashBarService.apk for multi-window. If the S4 is the same (which I assume it is), that is where you need to make your changes. My bad!

Yes, The multi-window is FlashBarService.apk for the S4

Anyone know where the text headers are for email/exchange account set up?
Looked everywhere. Hoping it's not in SecExchange.apk because it won't decompile.

Mod request- Verizon setting toggles on AT&T version

Is there a way to change the AT&T toggles (that look like this) to the verizon toggles (that look like this)
I find that a LOT better looking

I can take a look at the deodexed Settings.apk tonight and see. It's probably as simple as replacing some drawables...

@joshua: No luck so far. I'm pretty sure its simple...I just can't find where the image is housed...I'll keep looking.
@Kaiken: That just changes between list/tab view. He's talking about the off/on toggle I think.

They are located in lge-res.apk in framework folder.

Figures, the one file I didn't look in.
You can grab CleanROM from the VZW Development section. It's largely unmodified/stock, with only non-essential bloat stuff removed. The base framework is sufficient.

I didnt think to look in there either was digging around and couldn't find these phantom images.

I found the images. I'll try transplanting them here shortly and see how it turns out. I'll keep you posted.

The on/off switches are working/fine. There is a little bit of a glitch at the moment with mid-toggle.
Hope to have good news soon.
edit: and yes, I have an AT&T LG G2, that isn't Verizon

Tried it... like it, but the app has a pretty significant lag when u first open the dialer. I dial 3 digits before the app responds. Went back to stock for now...

Try ExDialer, it can be themed anyway you want. I would really like to see a black/dark incoming and outgoing stock call screen though.

I have something temporary to hold you over. I actually prefer it than any other replacements from the play store. The theme is called, "borderline". and used XTheme to apply it. Hope this helps..

I've been playing with xtheme, but the dialers are always jacked up.... like pics above u can tell its not right.... anyone find a fix?

I can play around with it, but I can't figure out how to download the xtheme engine. The guys page on XDA links to a google+ page and I don't see a download link or anything. I'm a noob with google+.
edit: never mind, found it. I've never used google drive before, hehe. I'll play around with it.

A dark theme for the stock dialer and contacts would be worth my donation. Let me know where to send it
