The evo lte had a slightly better camera...but to be honest 8mp is just that '8mp'...you know what your getting... until next gen phones are released with better cameras 8mp does the job for now, if I want better pics I'll use a digital camera.

The s3 takes way better pictures i have both phones as well and did extensive testing one thing i have noticed though is the s3 when on auto focus ,,,,, doesnt always auto focus, i recommend getting CAMERA ZOOM FX AND RE TRYING YOUR EXPIRAMENT AND YOU WILL SEE A VERY LARGE DIFFERENCE

I had both Phones as well and to the op it doesn't look like you are letting either of the cams focus properly before taking the picture. I personally think the gs3 camera is better.

It's true hands down its a better camera and screen. I still like the s3 better as an overall device.

I agree wit that sgs3 is better as a phone to play wit and enjoy more but the build quality on the one x is better

Im not arguing I totally agree. If htc had the sense to put a 2000 mah battery in it then it would be the better of the two. I always said that if a android came out that could last a full day of my heavy use it would be the winner. That phone has finally landed and it's in the body of cheap feeling plastic. That screen on the one x is out of this world.

When it is available and if the rumors are true it will be a serious competitor for the Note 2. It's thinner with a higher resolution screen. Similar processing capabilities and a 12mp camera. Nothing definite yet.
It'll be a serious competitor for any phone....if it ever sees the light of day. I don't see it happening any time soon.

I have used the Motorola Defy since last December, I have loved and tweaked this phone since day one, but time is getting on, I run Quarx's CM10 and Its perfect but I want more, a bigger screen and more power!
What would be the best phone to get next I'm currently looking at the Samsung galaxy S3 and both the notes.

My personal choice would be Motorola Razr or Sony Xperia Acro S. They both have enough power(to my needs). As far as I know they are bulletproof like our defy's . And I think Razr is much cheaper than S3... Hope this helps...
Not a big fan of Sony's phones, but the RAZR does look great, battery, HD and performance, but very expensive !!

Might as well wait a week for CES and see what kind of phones (and specs) are going to be the norm in 2013. A 1080p screen and 2gb RAM are going to be the new high end benchmark. Sony Xperia Z (1080p, 2GB, quadcore) is rumored to be releasing in Jan itself. And when more phones with similar specs come out, the current crop will likely get cheaper.

Hmm...In Uk Razr is cheapest phone amongst Xperia and S3... Razr Maxx is quite expensive, but i dont think it is worth extra money. Razr i is more than enough for me and it costs about 330£(+-400€)... Thats would be my personal choice, and i know that that would last me for another 3 years, same as defy...
I guess the RAZR is cool, and will last a good few years, hard decision to make

after having the moto x for 2 weeks, i'd love to see what they can do with tablets. has there been any talk of that?
Agreed...8 inch screen with the same feel and software as the X would be awesome!
The X name would play in great with the Xyboard tablet line and they should aim for adding the current hardware into a xyboard looking tablet. Agreed 8 inches is where its at. 10 is too big for everyday use and 7....well I have a N2 so what is the use going up an inch and a half...

What 2 years ago? I had it for like 2 weeks, screen was terrible. Time for new hardware running 4.4. Sounds good right? Also, the Xoom was not really easy to hold.

I just came from a Galaxy S4 and moving to Moto X was the best decision I ever did. It certainly deserve to be on top!
Moto X has a much better battery life, it doesn't lag AT ALL, active notifications, voice recognition, almost no bloatware (google apps don't count).
