Hi,
can someone mod the stock launcher on 4.3 GE i9505?
I've searched @xda & Google but couldn't find a answer.
It would be awesome to have a 4x5 or 5x5 grid in home & app drawer!
I'm sure I'm not the only one, but didn't see anyone asked this before.
The only thread that was similiar to my question was this one below. But that one is for the i9500 & Touchwiz.

Alright guys
I recently installed Omega Rom on my I9505 and for the life of me I cannot remember how to make the wallpaper stay centered. It seems to be going off to the side as if I have other pages on my desktop. I only use one page with icons and a widget and want the wallpaper to be centered. I think I seen an option for this somewhere but cant remember where.
Anyone have any info on this?
Chris

If you are using the default Touchwiz launcher which I am sure you are, it's designed to scroll
the wallpaper. There are plenty of other launchers you can install from the playstore which
have options and settings which can enable or disable the wallpaper scrolling.
When you go to the playstore it's best to install 5-6 different launchers, that way you can
check them out and see which one you prefer.
Good luck!
Good luck!

I have a quick questions concerning these two versions.
I have made a mod to create a 4x5 home screen, with a 5x6 app drawer, and a 3x4 widget selection screen. My thread is located HERE. I used the launcher from my Sprint SPH-L720 phone as the base for these mods.
Ran into an issue with a couple of people, one with a I9500, and one with a I9505, where they are not able to select any language other than english after installing my mod.
So my question is: Is there any difference between the stock launcher (SecLauncher3.apk) on these two versions of the phone? i.e. Can I just make one set of mods that will work on both phones?
I have searched and searched
So I have come to the conclusion that it's impossible to get the tw weather widget to work on any other launcher
So I pose the query of why? Could some one please tell me why this is and if it is impossible and would lt be possible to mod tw launcher with 5x5 desktop 5x5 drawer and 7 icon dock with centered app drawer
If the launcher mod is possible would please point me to a guide to do it

Hi all,
I really want to use the Google Edition ROM on my i9505 - but a couple of things keep me on the bloaty Touchwiz ROM.
1) Touchwiz Camera
2) Touchwiz Video Player
There are other things, but if these 2 were working on Google Edition I would be there in a flash.
Does anyone know if these are working?
The other alternative is to get Google Now 'OK Google' working with my Nova Launcher .... but looks quite far off.
I recently updated to the S5 video player and that works perfectly on the S4.
Any help appreciated.
Many thanks.
I was in the same boat, would like a rom like cyanogenmod but I was to use features like gestures, air view etc and the camera app is way better than the stock app.
Anyway I installed Omega rom which is the same as the s4 stock rom with touchwiz but lets you deselect all the bloatware before installing, so I've got all the samsung features but without the crap. Also downloaded the google launcher which is nice
Thanks a lot. I've used the Omega ROM a while ago, but didn't think about it for this.
Does the Google Launchers allow you to change the grid layout on the home screen? I want 5 columns and 6 rows if possible.

You could use Nova, looks like the Google launcher but way more customisable (you can change the columns/rows), dont think there google now integration on the home screen though.
Another couple of options are to try the AOSP themed touchwiz roms. You can keep all the touch wiz features and have the vanilla android look. Or you can also dual boot a touchwiz rom and CM11 to get the best of both worlds.
Thanks.
I'm already using Nova ... even paid for the extras. What I really want is Touchwiz with the 'always on' OK Google command.
I honestly am surely curious what everyone home screen looks like! Because I'm pretty proud of my plain simplistic look!
