Using version 2.6.0.0 on both my nexus 4 & nexus 7....when I look to restore from a backup they are not seen or recognized. As if I never made them...weird.

Check the market for OTA root keeper, use that and let the update install.

It never used to work without stock recovery but I think CWM will allow you to install the OTA now.

We are the developers of AvatarROM .
The ROM received good response for Samsung Nexus S (crespo) device. We now have the port for Samsung Nexus S 4G (crespo4g). Before we make a official thread for crespo4g we would like to get a feedback about the ROM.
Would anyone be interested to do a beta test ?
Its a cyanogen based ROM. Flashing instructions are same as Cyanogen. If you have any questions please ask.

You can use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1999125 but you must be on a deodexed ROM

Then it has to work. Try clearing everything and then flashing ROM + QuickSettings zip at the same time.
