You have to take care about what firmware u wanna install coz ur phone is branded O2 network. Odin works perfectly for flash in android 4.2.2 and 4.3 too. Anyway if u want future updates for Kies u will have to install the correct firmware for ur zone. What is your CSC? In Kies u can know it. The pic I attached u is (CHE). Tell me urs

The matter is your CSC. CSC is the Country/Carrier Specific Code. It contains the files for customisation for specific networks, so will have the APN settings, maybe custom ringtones or backgrounds, and can have programs too. Some CSC files contain a lot more than others, hence the file size differences. Atm only Russia (CSC: SER) and India (CSC: INU) released android 5.0.1 (pic attached). You don't gonna receive OTA updates if you don't own this CSC or you flash that firmware directly via ODIN.

This is probably due to the INS and INU firmwares. If your firmware is INU then you will get updates of INU only. Another alternative is that register yourself on sammobile and download the lollipop firmware and flash it through Odin.
All the best!

Hi
If your phone has been set to "custom" you will not get it...you need to be 100% stock in order to receive the official OTA release...
Option 2 would be to go to Sammobile get it and flash it with Odin
You better wait or manually flash official rom through odin.

[Q] Wich firware is the good one ?

Hi,
For a couple of days my Galaxy S5 XEF SM-G900F tells me there's and update for the firmware. As my phone was rooted no FOTA were possible so I uninstalled the root. Still no way tu update from OTA.
I tried Kies, but it always stop at 19% (tried on 2 different computers). So ok, back to the only one method that always works : ODIN BUT
Kies tells me that the available version is DA: OC7/CSC: OC2/PHONE: OC7
On sammobile, the only one firmware that has a csc: OC2 is the one for a specific carrier (Bouygues) . Which one should I download and flash to be up to date please ?
Thanks in advance for your help

My S4 wont update pls help

I had s4(4.4.2) rooted now I have completely removed the root by flashing stock firmware which I got from this post. I downloaded the turkey 4.4.2 listed under GT-I9500 firmwares although I am in india. Now when I try to update trough settings > software update, I I get msg "The latest updates have already been installed.". So is it happening because I flashed turkey's firmware, pls help me how to get lollipop update.
Flash India (INU) or India (INS) firmware. Either should work, but using the INS CSC is probably best, as that apparently is for unlocked devices. The reason you're not getting an update is the phone is not in the same region as the firmware installed on it.
Stock firmware for the gt-i9500 is here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9500/INS/
@audit13: Already covered that.
My bad, I didn't click on the links
