Hi, Just wondering what cpu governors the PACman 23.0.0 rom comes with. Does it come with Lagfree, smartassV2?
Ask Coderzs. You can flash a kernel over it to get those governors. Like the .64 or .62 kernel.
Thanks, I tried flashing those the kernels but my phone gets stuck on the Mytouch 4g boot screen.

If you like pacman and want those governers use the old pacman by Cnote74

Thanks, notorious I tried pacman 22.3.0 by Cnote74 with the kernels but I get the same problem. Oh well, I guess I'll just stick with what works, but my phone heats up when I listen to music. That seems to be the JB problem in general so I guess there's no helping it. Thanks again.

If you really want smart-ass then try my aocp. It's not as good as PACman in terms of tweaks.
But it has no headset heat and the governors.

I found out that apps to SD won't work on the .64, I thought it was like that for the .62 as well but yesterday I tried it and it worked fine.

lol, i dont understand what your looking for. do you want a stock rom with sense like you had when you got the phone but rooted? or do you want a senseless rom like cm7? now i've seen the term STOCK tossed around.
I think he's looking for a true aosp rom that's just google code with it modified to work for the shift... I came from a hero recently and we had a true aosp rom with no frill like you would have found on a nexus one. It was great... fastest thing in the world... like doing a clean install of windows xp or 7... I too wish to see one on the shift... I know evervolv is aosp but its modified with themes and tweaks but its as close as we have I think...
I think as the phone picks up some development someone will put out a true aosp rom... just give it time?
Would love to see the full potential of this phone with just an os though

Does it even happen on stock?
I am using royalginger and loving it except for 2-5 minute data dropout every hour or so. Using built-in kernal and S=Off.
I know folks are working on this and will figure it out soon but I wonder if there is a rom I can move to in the meantime that doesn't suffer from this, for me, quite crippling problem.
I appreciate any/all suggestions. Thanks.
Any sense rom shouldn't have that problem. So as long as it sense Rom should be no data drops haven't had one yet. On any sense rom.

Yep. Anything sense doesn't have that issue. Its an AOSP issue. I believe faux is looking into the issue for his next aosp rom.
Until then.. you will be fine with sense roms.

Use Unity kernel v5, kernel from the ROM, or use TheDerekjay's demonspeed kernel for sense. I don't use virtuous but those are you main options, and Faux has a sense kernel, but you'll have to search to find it.
Running the ROM as is. It's speedy, more than enough.

I'm using Dark JellyBelly, and I've found it works great. I don't see any significant problems with it. There are a couple of relativel minor ones, but nothing significant. You can read more here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716558
To get good call quality, you will need to flash the low-volume fix after you install DJB. That's easily done. It's found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24008900&postcount=531
The biggest issue I have with the ROM is that the wifi hotspot doesn't turn on from the stock control. You'll need to download Wifi Tether from the Play Market to make that work (and set it up as a Nexus One, FYI). If you can flash the volume fix, and work with that wifi issue, this ROM is excellent.
Good luck
-Dan
oh so you want stable? Stay on Gingerbread.
Sense: Android Revolution HD
AOSP: Cyanogenmod 7
you can't go wrong with these two ROMs, if you want stability with everything smooth and working, stay away from ICS or JB.

Some phones get above 75°C. The temperature difference means little. What's important is whether or not it's within operating specs.
