I saw this in xperia arc forum and thought it seemed like a cool thing. Anybody else interested in this. It's based on ICS 4.0.4 but it's not android. So no play store apps. It works because they're both based on Linux. I thought it'd be cool just to try it.

we need port it by using his source.
but the problem is the kernel
only the developer him self or someone like wedgess can make the 2.6 kernel work on fire os
It is possible to port it with a zip hacking, some weeks ago I tried to build it but the big problem is the screen resolution that is really low (the kernel isn't a problem, there are only two or three changes into the initrc if I remember correctly)

because we dont have fire os now zip hacking is not possible
fire os uses linux 3 kernel as base but we have to get 2.6 kernel work so its more than that changes i think
When I looked the build of n1kolaa it still used a 2.6 kernel cause with 3.x it won't boot, so it will be possible to port it

i can not find screenshoot
I think we can find a way to make it work on our plays though if we get enough interest in it maybe we can find a way to port it I was only able to find the ota part I didn't find the actual base Rom it's self though

Flash has always played like crap on mine. I just stopped using webtop entirely, since that was what I wanted it for.
If you use faux kernel it works fine. Oc to 1.3 or 1.45 and everything will be flawless. Especially if you use custom webtop debian etc.

Ok, what I need to know is which rom will allow me full flash support, and the ability to play music that I have downloaded as I love this tablet but it feels like a three legged dog in regard to what I can do!!
Or is this when people advise that I wait for the Cyanogen rom to arrive.
there are quite a few roms in the development section that have flash player pre loaded, as for music you can just use an app to play it (not really sure what you meant by that) or you can use something like amazon mp3 if you need to play music through the cloud.
Also in terms of flash i believe the stock browsers (chrome and maybe the stock browsers) dont support flash at all
I'm currently using paranoid android rom over in original development and I'm loving it. I found the flash apk off of Google and it works perfectly with the stock browser. As well, the whole app by app screen orientation selection is super nice. It's based on a cm10 port.

I'm running stock 4.1.1 with flash. Sideload the Flash APK and install Firefox Beta.
Works
EOS was nice cause they had a good tablet mode using the normal DPI.
Now there are a few other ROMs picking that feature up. Most all worked the same. Its just about which options you want. Everything is still new so some ROMs get features before others but eventually they'll all be the same pretty much.

Is it possible to run an android os from a computercraft console within Minecraft?
It's probably not so I won't get my hopes up, but if it is possible, I'd like to try it out.
Sent from my U8800-51 using xda-developers app. BAWLZ!
Mother thing I'd like is to play movies (ASCII) from the console. (Other than the built in star wars one.)

Oooo...good question!! I love sony's media apps!! I wish we had a camera made by sony. That's what I really miss the most. My xperia x10's 8mp camera, made in 2010, still takes pictures that are far better quality than most 8mp cameras being made today.
There is a ported xperia honami (?) rom in the android dev section that would have all of these. I can't say I've flashed it yet, but I'm pretty sure all the base sony apps work with that one. Historically, though, sony's apps require the entire xperia framework to be ported over, though, for any of the apps to work on other roms. It's not just a simple apk install, unfortunately.
My dream is to have a sony-made xperia nexus that uses vanilla aosp android, but still offers all of the sony apps on top...just not their UI
Isn't this working?
