I accidentally changed a line in build.prop and i guess it was about turning off the phone if the battery was low.
I tried wiping battery stats from recovery, made a clean installation of cm7 after wiping data, cache, dalvik and battery stats but none of it helped.
Is there a solution for this? I charged all night and it just turns off when i unplug.
It's CM7 by the way.

My phone has an odd problem, it seems the battery won't charge above about 66%. I charge it for hours on an outlet charger, and it still won't charge above that. I only started noticing it after my phone started doing two bootloops everytime it reboots, which is slightly annoying, but hasn't really affected anything else. I've also noticed an increased amount of lag in the software, not much, but it's starting to get slowed. Could my number of apps have anything to do with this? TiBu says I have 195 user apps, and the standard amount of system apps. I'm currently running CM7 Build #139. I not only want to know what's wrong and how to fix it, but why it's acting up, although that would be my secondary objective.
Try wiping batterystats.bin; you can do it through a root file explorer under system or boot into clockwork recovery and do it under advanced options. You also may want to wipe cache while you're in recovery.

Don't I have to let my battery discharge, or is it just wiping it?
Just go ahead and do it as is. If that corrects the problem you'll want to get it fully charged, wipe batterystats again, run the phone all the way down til it powers off, then fully charge again without interruption.
my battery stop charging at 52% with cm9. been using it for 2 years since first released. flash back to stock froyo and problem persist. wonder its time to change new battery?
No.
Flash battery fix.

Remenber, after flashing, reboot and in recovery, wipe battery stats.
Hi guys, please help me solve this. I am using a stock Asian rom, i have rooted it and installed official touch CWM. i have charged my phone like 5 times already and i have had my phone for 4 days. So today i wanted to check how long my battery lasts so i have charged it to 100% and unplugged it from charger since 11.16 am this morning. You see as long i don't reboot my phone the stats are ok, but after i reboot the stats are reset and show only since boot or the last 3 hours. i can't seem to see the whole history since charged i have attached a screen as you can see it shows 81% but usage is 1h 53mins which is not, as i stated earlier i unplugged my phone from charger since 11.16 am and now its 10.46 pm so around 11 hours and 30 minutes of use. I am thinking now of flashing my rom to fresh state but its a time consuming thing, and i don't want to result to that option.
Update on Status
By the way i found another post suggesting i wipe the battery stats. Since there isn't that option in recovery i did that manually by deleting data/system/batterystats.bin after i fully charged the phone and wiped cache partition, and wipe Dalvik cache.
But after reboot i tried to reboot again and it didn't show my first boot history time, so it's as if the battery history isn't saved or it's reset,
By the way i checked the battery with BetterBatteryStats and it only gives 1 option to view history and thats since boot, but when i did my first boot after deleting batterystats.bin, BetterBatteryStats gave me the option to view since charged and unplugged but not any more.
so far i don't see any other option but to install a fresh stock.
I just got my G2 and decided to root it then flash the cloudy g3 1.2 ROM which went fine. Following that, I installed the Xdabbeb camera mod which caused the phone to enter a bootloop. Because of that, I wiped the system, data, and cache, then reflashed the G3 ROM (with the kitkat baseband).
When I was on TWRP though, it said the battery was on 100% when it was actually on about 60%. So after flashing the ROM and booting it up, the battery percentage showed 100% then started dropping very quickly. I lost 20 percent in half an hour of use.
To do a battery calibration, you must charge the device to 100% and if I do this, it shows the charge at 100% but in reality it isn't. How am I meant to reset the battery stats completely? I don't mind resetting things as I've only just got the phone.
Also would someone mind downloading a battery calibration app and charging the phone to 100% then telling me what the voltage is at 100%?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi
I am using this rom over the last few days and really like it. Users are reporting great battery life but I am seeing the opposite. My batty has dropped to 38% in about 2 hours from a full charge.
Can anyone suggest what could be the cause?
Thanks
Did you do a clean flash? When not do a full wipe and then flash it. And on the second thought i could be your kernel settings... Maybe you overlocked your device or the false cpu govenour?
It is hard to say what may be causing the drain. Only thing I can suggest is to do a full wipe (factory reset, wipe cache, wipe davlik and wipe system) and don't put anything on it (don't restore any apps or from TB) and see how it runs. If you don't experience any battery drain start off by installing your apps back on.
Unfortunately, it will be a slow process till you find the issue.
Or maybe it could be an app... I use Wakelock Detector for this (Can't provide link, sorry).
Thanks for the replies.
I did a full wipe before installing this ROM. I also tried factory resetting and installing the rom again. I haven't tweaked any kernel settings but left everything default.
