"Face unlock couldn't start" bug - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On my Nexus 4 with 4.3 (100% stock + root) I can't use Face Unlock anymore. I remember, once I got the same issue and I needed to fix permissions on some files, I can't find information about this problem anymore. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Same here, seems strange.
This can be due to important partitions and directories such has /dev/ and /sys/ being R/W.

Haven't found a solution yet...

Fix the permissions again?, if not then wipe the device clean.

[Q] Installed roms disable my wifi?

Hello having a issue when installing Roms. I rooted my Nexus 7 with the Nexus 7 toolkit and had no issues. I currently have tried cyanogen mod 10, smoothrom 4.4, and paranoid android and all install perfect ..... But my WiFi connection shows its on yet no internet? I have looked through numerous settings and seen nothing turned off? Two of the Roms actually wouldn't show wireless connections either. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Try a different kernal? Does it work on stock rom?

Since it's visible in screenshots, it's 100% software. Flash the stock images and see if that helps
Thanks ill give that a go.. i did find it a little weird that it showed on screenshots too
Still doing it after flashing factory image... no apps installed or anything custom... its so strange
I had a HTC sensation 3g that did this I ended up having to get a hardware replacement to fix it. I never had that problem before or after that phone

I can't answer as to what caused this, but I had this happen on a kindle fire before. If you are running a ROM, then reflash gapps, and you should be fine. If you are running stock, I don't know what to do.

That's the problem, I forgot to mention that; everywhere on the internet the say that i should reflash Gapps, but i'm running stock ...
You could try to flash the gapps over stock; they are the same apps... But I don't know of anything else that you could do. Sorry

Just flash the factory image and be done with it. Stock is pretty good.

Its not the ROM that sucks, It's Open Delta that sucks.
This is a common problem with open delta.
You will find the update located in: sdcard/open delta
Just reboot to TWRP and flash the update from sdcard/open delta in TWRP.
Best of luck
You are probably using Omnirom. 1. Omnirom has not released an official lollipop build till now so you are probably using an unofficial build
2. Opendelta won't work for unofficial builds.
