After my 4.3 update, chrome browser is auto refreshing on the xda pages like every couple seconds.
Anyone else seeing this?
Fix?
Don't have a fix for you but noticed that Firefox on my PC did the same when I had scriptblocker set too strict. Xda kept refreshing when it couldn't get to things like Google api's or ads.

Same here on 4.3stock. Chrome and chrome beta auto refresh. Side-loaded Opera with same result.
Firefox nightly does not auto refresh, but after viewing a few pages here on xda, links become inactive. Boat and Ocean browser's have same issue as Firefox.
All is OK if I don't log in.
Mine is doing the same. It seems better with the Chrome Beta version released today, but it still does it occasionally.
Try switching the xda theme to "XDA 2013 beta - 1024." It did the trick for me :good:
Are you running low on memory?

I had the same issue, fixed it by disabling prefetch web pages in chrome settings.
Hope this helps.
Edit - sorry should be preload not prefetch.
Found this thread via google search, but yeah I had this problem too so thanks for the suggestions.
My question is why when browsing the forums, one post will have large enough to read text and the next post will randomly have too small of text. How is this fixed? Currently use Chrome but happens with Firefox too.
can confirm this with boat browser... since update to 4.3 as well, before it was fine.

You're the man--this worked. Thanks!
This has been a major annoyance for me. How do I change the theme though?

Ok so i just got my g2 here in hawaii today. Moved over from the n1 i had running cm6 stable. The only reason i moved was for the keyboard lol i have fat fingers. anyways does anyone know if theres a way to have the g2's browser run in "desktop" mode? the n1 had a option to switch it from iphone, desktop, and android browser i believe. I loved that because i use facebook alot and i really hate that it pulls up the "touch" facebook app by default. any help is appreciated thanks!
whats the point of having full flash support if it doesnt even pull up the full sites by default? it makes no sense to keep pushing the little link on the bottom that says "full site"
type "about:debug" into the address bar of the browser and hit enter. nothing will happen. go to settings in the browser and scroll all the way down to UAString and change the value to "desktop"

This works well, however you may have to do it again each time. I know that's how it was for my Nexus One.

I can not figure out how to turn off the mobile view option in the native browser. The option is no longer there. I hate mobile web pages and have always turned this off so my phone will load the full version of the site. I guess this is something google removed from the browser in gingerbread. Crazy.
Anyone else notice this and want to tear their hair out?

Type about:debug as your URL. Hit Go. Go into settings and see your new expanded settings. Change UA string under settings.

Hi,
I have problem with scrolling in the browser, whether it is stock or dolphin browser.
If you look at the link below there is a list of players, in this case the goalkeepers to choose from in fantasy league, I am unable to scroll down on a box such as this. This is just one example of the issue :
http://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk/select-team/
Does anyone have a solution? I know on iphone you can use two finger scrolling.

Use another browser like Opera Mobile or Firefox Beta 6.0
Do you have updated Adobe Flash Player?

Got no updates showing on market for flash and always update when available. So should have latest version.
I've tried opera and switched to desktop mode and still not working.
There has to be a solution!

Can't get it to work as well... Kind of frustrating...
Firefox beta works fine, wish dolphin could do it though.
If you haven't installed flash 10.3 then there might be an update available.
When I got my SGS 2 and when I factory reset it, no updates show for flash or gmail, but when I search for flash and gmail in the market, and click on them, it has the option to "update" rather than install.
Dont know if you know what I mean, but search for flash 10.3 and it should allow you to update it.

The part of the webpage that the OP is having problems with does not use flash, it's a table.
I tried the site myself in several browsers, and can confirm the only ones I could get the list to be scrollable in were Firefox and Firefox Beta. Even then they don't have a scrollbar, you have to swipe within the table area. I presume this is by design.

Good point. I just checked and it's just a div with overflow set to auto (show scrollbars if required). This is old CSS and really should show in all browsers. Some investigation is required.
Thanks guys, will give firefox a whirl.

Strange as it sounds, when your screen goes grey in HC3.2, make sure that auto-rotate is enabled and just rotate the Xoom, which will force a re-draw of whatever "picker" window is open. This should give you a choice between two or more options. Pick one and you should be good to go.
Moto does not make the browser.
Aite ill give the auto rotate a try thanks. And to the other guy who responded with that smart ass remark aite like it matters ok google hc browser don't really care who made the browser you know what I meant. Did you help with developing the browser? Do I owe props or something?

Hey, has anyone else seen this problem. I have tried Dolphin Browser beta and Chrome on my phone and if I go to XDA forums the page keeps refreshing and does not allow me to navigate through pages. No other sites seem to do this and it doesn't happen on my Galaxy S3.
