I did flash full sbf 2.3.6 on my red lens defy...
Is there any fully working cutsom Rom? I know about the CM 7.2 nightly for Defy+ and they work except camera has no autofocus , pics are ionverted and even Videos... of course there is CM9 but there are way too many things to be sorted out for daily use
So anything like miui or msginger working?

CM7 nightly works, here's the fix for inverted pic
MS2ginger 2.1 also works, while last time I tried to flash a Miui it gave me a boot loader error and I had to flash back
I tried 1.12.16 ( I guess ), now there's a pretty new version, so if you wanna try to flash it go ahead and tell us what happens don't worry, you can always go back stock
I had MS2Ginger and I have CM7.2 nightly now, so you can be sure about that
ok will give the inverted pics fix a try but still the autofocus is not working in the latest nightlys... ( no sound when openeing cam or trying to focus on something...lens is not moving!) is this working with msginger?
Need autofocus working...with motorola 2.3.6 everthing works of course but otherwise it is crappy
It is working for me xD I have a Defy+, maybe that's the difference, but on CM7.2 nightly autofocus and touch to focus work perfectly
i tried the older nightly from 13th december and with the fix for inverted pics and cam.apk everything including Autofocus is working.... this fix is not working with the 23.12 nightly...tried it...

now everything works too...but only on 13.12 nightly the latest one not...
and Defy red lens with full sbf flash or defy+ origianl with full sbf flash....there i no difference except battery
HTC_CIME_WVGA_mod_v4.zip is not working in ICS. It force closes everytime I tried to use it with tytung's NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.0 rom. Is there a fix for it. Thanks!! TH

I had a moto defy with stock rom. I rooted the device using super one click v1.7 and then flashed a moto defy plus (MB526) rooted ROM to this device. My Moto Defy has a green lens and I later came to know that I shouldn't have flashed a rom of moto defy plus to a moto defy device especially with a green lens as it is not at all supported by moto defy plus roms.
Unfortunately I cannot also downgrade back to a stock moto defy rom now and I have lost my camera for pictures as well as video. Does anyone know a workaround for this or any other stable custom rom for moto defy plus which can work with green as well as red lens.
My phone at the moment (post rooting and flashing new rooted rom) is recognised as a Moto Defy Plus with the
Android Version 2.3.6 &
Kernel Version [email protected] # 1.
If anyone knows a work around to get the camera working again it would be very helpful... Thanks in advance...

What rooted ROM did you flash?Was it a full SBF.?
Also post your build number.

I first rooted from Stock Moto Defy Rom (Froyo 2.2.2) to a stock moto defy + rom (full sbf)

After this flashing I got super user access and other rights on the stock moto defy + ROM. Unfortunately after doing this I read about green lens and red lens article and thought of downgrading but could not downgrade......
My present Build number is-
4.5.1-134_DFP-231
That is the worst thing. You flashed a BL7 full SBF. You cannot downgrade and your camera most probably will not work ever.
I read something about a mod though that might help you.. Will look for that once I get access to my laptop. Can't promise anything yet

If you want a working camera after all this and want a stock-like feel (as far as the GUI goes) then try MSGinger5.
I have such a phone that a "wizard" mocked up and all is well with MSGinger5.
(All except that the phone reboots when not on USB/charger... but thats not because of the ROM.
It does that with all ROMs).

I was thinking if is possible to install the version "unified" CM11 on our moto X play.
I think about unified because that runs in some different devices.
I prefer Kitkat than LL or MM, because I can do a Reverse tether on KK (using internet PC on phone), and the lockscreen is very very better than now.
Someone already tried that?

I am running Pixel experience rom with magisk. I am not able open stock camera app shows please restart camera.. i tried installing google camera Apk but i am only able to install version upto 4.2 and not anything ablove that. And also i am unable to install modded version of google camera too...
Plz can anyone give me a solution
