[Q] Samsung galaxy s4 begin burn/melt on the aluminium part - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello I expose you a problem that a friend of me encountered.
Look both picture first guys and you could tell me if this is from sun exposure, drop, acid or anything else please?

My friend don't know from where this came... She have to Chinese wallet case bought on ebay. Could be the problem? Or its from the sun exposure damage? Just the corner got damage from this and seems like more acid no?
And if the warranty could make something from this for a replacement because if it's from the sun exposure at 30°c the phone isn't far of being a ice cream...
Thanks for your opinion guys.
Hope someone could clear me about this

Looks a drop to me. This is not caused by heat bro Is (most likely) not covered by warranty, maybe insurance will cover it.

+1 for a drop...

That's 100% user damage ! ( Dropped / lighter / cigarette burn )
What are you talking there about sun damage ? LOL

Okay, thanks you guys to clearing me about this. I'll report to my friend about her phone.

don't ever continue using your phone that way, if you don't want to take a risk of having an expensive paperweight. Remove the battery cover and battery and put your phone in a jar completely full of rice. (phone should be completely submerged and you should also seal the jar) keep it that way until all the moisture is gone. (it can take a long time)
would that work? ive got it on the window seal at the moment in the sun. how long would you say it would take, days?

I would be careful leaving your phone in the sun, you don't want to cook it - literally!
Damn, mind posting pics? just more reason not to bring my Leo to partys!

[Q] Black spots on nook color screen

today when I powered on my nook color I noticed it has big black two spots and some distorted lines. Here is the image:

It also looks like the screen cracked (white aslant line), though I have to say the front glass is perfectly fine (not even a scratch). I haven't used it for about a week and I don't remember having it dropped during that time. Does anyone know what is it? Is it even possible to have broken LCD with front glass being untouched?
I'm in Europe right now but I have valid warranty - does anyone know if there is any B&S support here or I have to send it to my family in US?
Wow looks pretty ****ed up.
Wish I could tell you whats wrong but to tell the truth, the best thing I could give you is a guess...
Sent from my NookColor using Tapatalk
Yup. You're screen is pooched. You can try and find a 3rd party screen replacement overseas, but your best bet is to send it back to the states and see if you can get it repaired or replaced under warranty.

[Q] Dust under the camera lens?

Hi! I bought G2 just a week ago and I just need to confirm if this issue exists for others as well. Not to mention that I've used my phone extremely clearly and kept it out of dusty areas. The dust is under the lens, not above.
In any case, could someone suggest me what I can do to remove it or prevent further scratches?

I'm worried if my phone has weak sealings cause my old Xperia arc had dust appear under its lens only after a year or 2 of use. :/

[Q] No rear camera and earpice

Hi guys, i have a problem two months ago i pour soda on my nexus 4, then the earpice won't work and then the camera, so i bougth the 2 of them on ebay and i put it but still won'r working.
Any idea?
i'm using 5.1 version of android stock.
i really apreciate it.
Sorry for my bad english.
I think it's too late to take a risk of rescuing after all this time. Maybe there's rust on the motherboard and connections. Buy an isopropyl and clean the motherboard, but I thik it's too late. Look at phone after one week of drown.

I know it's not a N4, but you see the damage.

Clean camera connection with isopropyl.
It's probably too late as of there was water inside and you used it then the connection would get fried

Design or Flaw? Camera Ring Groove

Hello guys,
My friend got a oneplus 5 and it has a groove on the upper middle of the camera ring? Do you guys have it to or is it some mechanical flaw
sure it doesn't affect the glass now but I'm worried the glass is more prone to cracking now..maybe. Anyway today is day one so there is ability to get it replaced so let me know thanks!

That's so funny because when I opened the box it was like the first thing I noticed. And I thought, what the heck is that! It's definitely part of the design though. As somebody pointed out I guess it's for NFC. Which makes sense.
