Has anyone swapped to an AOSP/AOKP ROM and run Watch On? I want Carbon back on my i9500 but I don't want to lose this app... I love it. I currently have both the necessary APK's backed up on my SD so I can install after the flash but was wondering if anyone else tried this and if I should do anything other than have the Peel.apk and the WatchOn.apk backed up.
If it doesn't have the touchwiz framework built in like on the Google edition ROM the watchon app will not work

Don't take me wrong, I am not big fan of TouchWiz, but some of apps that comes with it I am kinda miss them on my newly installed AOSP JB ROM. I know we are talking about two different things here; TouchWiz ICS (Android 4.0.4) and AOSP JB (Android 4.1).

I would love to have this as well. My Files, eBook, task manager, and all the little mini apps. I would switch to JB in a heartbeat if the TouchWiz could ported over.
Is it not possible to re-load using titanium backup?

No. It is not. I already tried it does not works. and I learnt that someone said it needs TouchWiz framework to be ported as well in order to work. so simply copying them over does not works even if you place apk files in right folder with right permission.
For example, someone posted Samsung ebook apk with instructions, but when you use and try to import the book, it gets force close (FC) issue, so for me it has no use.
however, doing a little bit search, I run into this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1666384
so I am not sure if this can be installed on my AOSP JB ROM (Android 4.1)..

You are correct. It is impossible to get TW apps on AOSP ROMs unless you port the entire framework to the AOSP ROM, which is nearly impossible unless you are Samsung.

can you tell us where's this? how can we use that? if I understand correctly what you said is we can use TouchWiz on our JB CM10 or AOSP ROM? does it comes with all Samsung Apps like S-Memo, S-Planner..etc?
I would personally love to get stock 4.2.2 running on my developer edition. I guess we should thank Samsung for opening up the possibility.

Well will the dev edition be able to install the stock AOSP ROM directly from HTC or will it be solely for this new Google Edition device?

I have fat fingers excuse me please...(didn't mean to hit thank button 2x) sometimes its just best to back up your current ROM and just flash the ROM your curious about and check it out yourself. You may even love the ROM whether that app works for you or not.

thank you guys for the answers!
So guys the bad thing about cm10.2 is that we cant swipe down and reach the taskpanel in fullscreen apps like in TW.
Ive found a CM rom which offered this feature baked in to CM.
He linked this site http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/48352/
Could anyone help me merge this into cm10.2?
Thanks!
Someone?
