I've just purchased an international unlocked dual SIMs LG Opt L7 P15 and I am trying to use on ATT. Calling in/out works fine but I am unable to get the data working. I've called ATT but gets no where. Do I have to do something before I can get data working? I can access the hidden menu but don't know what to do after that. TIA

You can't gsm unlock it as it is not a gsm phone. It is CDMA.
I don't use Sprint, but with Verizon CDMA most the time you can use it with other CDMA carriers, besides the Verizon G2 (VS980) it has a sim card slot for LTE on their network and it is factory unlocked, just put in a compatible sim card and you should at least have voice and SMS working.

Oh sorry apparently the LG ls980 does have a sim card and there is some people working on unlocking it and some claim to have done it, goto here I'm not saying this works, but it looks promising , http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2655133

Hello guys,
Im a bit desperate, when I try to enable mobile hotspot on my ATT Unlocked LG G6 (H871) it says auth failed and just won't share internet connection not thru wifi nor USB cable.
Please I will really appreciate your help, I need to work with my computer all the time using this function.

If u have an att SIM card the function will work but if u have any other gsm SIM like straight talk the functions won't work as the OS is still essentially att's android.
What network are you using? Is it att or another one?
I recommend you check your phone's APN settings.
