Thanks. I see the new bootloader image, but not a flashable .zip. Unfortunately I don't have access to a computer to flash via fastboot :-/

You are not looking hard enough. The first two sets of links are for the 4.3 zip one odexed and one deodexed, each has two mirror links. These are both before the bootloader download links which you do not need.
I downloaded and successfully installed through TWRP 2.5.x the deodexed version over rooted stock 4.2.2 without loosing any data or settings.
A couple of notes:
1) Download the SuperSu zip before flashing the 4.3 zip.
2) Make sure you take a full TWRP backup before flashing anything.
3) If you have Superuser installed remove it before flashing as it will no longer work with 4.3 (at least not as of Jul 25th)
4) When flashing 4.3 you can also add the SuperSu (4.3 compatible version) to the flash list. That makes life a little easier if you have existing apps that request root access. Make sure that it is flashed after 4.3
4.3 compatible SuperSu download link:
https://plus.google.com/+Chainfire/posts/WqS2E9kkN1L
The download link which is down the page a ways has been verified by the author to work with an N10. Also his comments about Titanium Backups are worth reading.
Good luck.

And you're not reading hard enough. The OP's looking for a zip of the MD03 bootloader, not the ROM. To answer the OP, I don't think anyone has made a zip of the BL.

Zip is available here. I've already used it to update my Nexus 10 and I've already rooted with SuperSU 1.43. Works great.

HM my I looked though here and did not find a zip with just the boot loader.

I was able to solve my problem. Posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44025620
Would still be nice to have a flashable zip of the new bootloader for the community though
Used Nexus Root Toolkit and an .IMG file of the bootloader, but it definitely wasn't as time friendly as the cwm.zip on the N4. Though that can be put down to looking for a .zip file for the N10 all night.

Hi all,
I'll be getting the S4 very soon (don't have it quite yet), but want to be ready.
Can someone point me to CWM 6.0.3.2 in an ODIN flashable file? I see the IMG here, but don't think IMGs are ODIN flashable, correct?

I'm not sure about Odin, but I always install CWM through RomManager in the play store. It's much more hassle free, and all you need is a rooted phone.

Why don't you just use the zip ?

Well, I can't use the ZIP because I am not yet rooted. I'm sure the answers are around here somewhere... but the easiest way I find to root (and unroot) is to flash a rooted kernel or ROM from Odin...
Got it. CF Root and ROM Manager... Now, to pick out a ROM.... I don't suppose Cyanogenmod is ready for daily use is it?
Easiest thing to.not get confused. Is to root your phone. Download goo manager from the play store and install twrp then flash the cwm touch zip.

I rooted my N7 (NE370T) a few months ago but can't remember how I did it. I would now like to flash a stock 4.3 ROM to it, and was looking for the safest way of doing it while retaining root. I have CWM 6.0.1.9 installed - would it be easiest to install a flashable stock rooted ROM zip from CWM? (e.g. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2376881)
I'm currently on v4.2.1 (JOP40D)

Yes it would be easiest to flash a 4.3 ROM actually. I went the way of Clean ROM 4.0 and faux kernel and I don't regret it. It came pre rooted and optimized. Though as always you should make a nandroid before you flash anything.
Also, make sure your bootloader is up to date if you have problems flashing a 4. 3 ROM

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do I check and update my bootloader version??
Check the dev section for the latest bootloader. As for checking, you'd have to use commands in fastboot and I'm sorry I don't know them. Basically what I would do is just do as I said in the previous post. If things don't work, then it's obvious you'd need to either update Cwm or your bootloader or both.

You might want to have a look at my blog, there I described a very easy way for updating to 4.3
Boot loader version comes up in the bootloader screen ( vol down + vol up + power while tab is off ) .. And to flash the bootloader
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
4.23 is the latest version for bootloader.

Thanks for all the help. I managed to successfully flash a pre-rooted 4.3 stock ROM from a zip using CWM recovery. I suspect that my bootloader may not be the latest but everything seems to be working OK so I guess it's OK to leave it.
Hello,
When 4.3 was out, @dalingrin made a flashable zip (for TWRP/CWM) from factory image of 4.3 + root and busybox.
Is there something like that for 4.4?
Meaning, 4.4 OS that comes with root and busybox, that can be flashed directly from recovery?
Thanks
Anyone...?
Is there a flashable zip of 4.4 to flash using TWRP?

Not that I have seen. Can't figure out why either.
I bit the bullet and sideloaded it. Wasn't that bad but would much prefer a flashable zip.

Simply flash this .Zip package, the supersu update one, and Make sure you are on advanced stock kernel by @DooMLoRD, reboot the phine twice or something **** that, and voila!
Root acces granted.

I'm sorry, but this isn't news and doesn't require a new thread.
DooMLoRD provided his advanced stock kernel in the 3rd post of Androxyde's thread for the 4.3 FTF.
Obviously, if you have an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery, you can flash one of the many superuser zips that are around, including the more current version of SuperSu provided by Chainfire himself - http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
Common sense, no?

Due to the amount of people that are flashing the leaked update, without the proper knowledge on what they are about to commit and they claim that their apps stop working, all the threads are useful, in my personal opinion.
Sorry if i disturb you, that was not my intention, just made it to help, nothing more.
BTW: I am on unlocked bootloader with DoomLord's advanced kernel, and it didn't gave me proper root access, so i had to improvise
You didn't have to improvise.
The advanced stock kernel has never provided root access automatically, only the means to gain it by flashing a zip containing the su binary, apk and sometimes busybox.

I got.root through [NUT]'s method with the supersu zip package provided by niaboc79.
Working Like a charm! and still have a locked bootloader!
But somehow bravia engine isn't working at all

The best method for root is waiting for OTA update I think . Maybe they reapair Leaked version . We must Be patient.

maybe you have losed your DRM keys upon unlocking the bootloader? that also may be the reason why bravia engine isn't working.

i have a succesfull root on xperia z c6606 (c6603 569)
I started by flashing old 67 firmware. then got root and dual recovery.
then i flashed 569 with superfix and flashed the stripped down 569
then i flashed existenz's latest rom, v5.
after all that, I ended up with Android 4.3 (569) for C6603 on my C6606 without root access. I still had the recovery, but SuperSu was now missing.
So after 5 minutes of messing around, I found this file, UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.86.zip, so i put in root of sdcard, and flashed with cwm or twrp (idek anymore) and now I have root access and xposed framework from existenz is working
here is the supersu fix i used
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
the website that actually hosts the file is download.chainfire.eu, but i am unable to post links to outside files.
edit
this information is really only for Xperia Z users whose Bootloader is Locked. This is an alternative method to Doomlords root, which requires flashing custom kernel, which is not possible with a locked bootloader.
Does anyone know how NUT rooted the ftf? I mean if he did that with a prerooted custom kernel, we(locked Bootloader guys) would not be able to flash that. But everyone say there i no way to root the FW with LB. I am really confused.
Does anyone can explain this to me?

He didn't root the FTF. His pre rooted rom is supplied as a zip that you flash via recovery.

I don't understand exactly. Can you explain it in an other way why do we have root in this ROM?
Because what I understand is that it only have to be a flashable zip for root. But this doesn't make sense to me

This is a flashable zip that can be flashed in cwm or twrp unlike ftf which can't be changed or modified and must be flashed in flashtool
In other word Nut extracted the ftf converted it to zip added the root and recovery so it can be installed on the air without modifying the system files.a

He hasn't rooted the ftf.
He has extracted the contents and made a flashable zip of them that is rooted. Basically a custom rom.
The ftf that is in his topic is stripped and probably only contains the baseband and stock Sony kernel and needs to be flashed in addition to the prerooted zip he provides.

Hello,
I have TWRP 2.5 and I use GooManager to install new version, it downloads it, tells me new version is installed. I reboot manually into recovery and it still shows as 2.5. How do I flash 2.6 properly or what am I doing wrong? I can see GooManager downloads some *.IMG file on file system. I can not locate it though and also am I supposed to install that one manually from recovery itself?
Goo manager sucks balls. You can look around on your internal sd for the zip it downloaded or you can go to the s4 twrp thread and someone posted zips to flash in recovery in the last few threads.
Google is your friend
File which was downloaded is IMG file, TWRP can not flash it. I don't see any threads with flashable recovery. All recovery threads advise to user goo manager including official site of TWRP
Sent from my SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
TWRP site has the img file to download. They also give instructions on how to flash using console emulator or through adb on a pc. Make sure to type it correctly as if done improperly can result in a brick.
Why do you want 2.6
2.5.0.2 has been flawless on ALL roms for me
Google i337 twrp 2.6.3.2 xda. Flash that in your current recovery
PS, ditch goo manager

2.6.3.2? I can't find that version for our phone. I found 2.6.3.1 but no CWM flashable version. Best I found was http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447423 which is 2.6.3.0 which would probably allow replacing the recovery image with a newer image.
