What he was saying is use that app, and I would also recommend GSam Battery Monitor (pro) - I use both. Track down what's actually causing the battery loss and then it's possible to fix. I'm not sure a battery should drain so fast even if it's not calibrated, unless it's a cheap ebay one.

Go to play store search battery calibration download it install it keep your phone in charging mode wait for keep it till 100% charge and boom press calibration

Please stop spreading that cancer. Battery calibration on Android is a myth that was debunked a long time ago.
Clearing cache in recovery also does nothing.
Sent from my GT-I9505G using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2

just use this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration

You can calibrate any Li-Ion battery by draining it completely and then charging it to 100%.
But that is recommended every 30 charge cycles (not everyday because it will shorten your battery life)

Battery problems bit serious

Few days back my battery suddenly got drained that too when I was sleeping. It was something around 35% before sleeping and it was fully drained by the morning.
This thing happened again but that time I fortunately got awake and charged it till 60% and again in next 2 hrs (when I was sleeping) it lost 20% of battery. Will try 2 attach this incidence pics.
In 3rd incidence I charged my battery fully and suddenly my phone got heated up and got switched off. Even after pressing switching on button it didn't start than I removed the battery and reinserted it. And than it got switched on automatically (without pressing the switch on button), at that time my battery got drained by 15% without any use.
What might b the reason for it? Even my cousin is facing similar prob.
Plz help

Pic will tell u how fast it got drained when my use was minimum. usually I lost 5 to 7 % of battery when sleep
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
this happens when you flash the ROMS quite often without calibrating the battery. First wipe the batterystats and let the battery drain completely and follow the procedure mentioned below:
1. try to calibrate the battery by switching off phone and plug the charger in, till it completes 100%. Once it gives the signal of 100%, then immediately remove the battery and wait for 5 mins and then reinsert the battery and power on(Entropy Method)
Sorry my friend... after going through your pic, I found there is a ANDROID OS bug. Try to flash the new firmware from sammobile or from the XDA forum (Example PDA: KJ3 and modem XXKI4). This will resolve your problem!
What rom are you using? I had a similar issue using gingermod and the cook said the oc was to mutch for me so I deleted ocdaemon and two weeks later still no problems.

Can the overheating while charging caused by this?

We need to know what rom your using. What apps are always syncing. More details please. Also download BBS (betterbatterystats) and look for wakelocks that could be stopping the phone from entering deep sleep
Weekday is the meaning of ROM, calibrating battery?

frnds plz reply. After reading that I have OS bug m getting tensed. For information (i don't know whether it is useful) my phone is not rooted.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
^ No need to worry. The OS bug is something that does exist, although often people look at a screenshot and give a false positive diagnosis, based on a small sampling. We need to know how much cpu time your things have on that graph, so do another screenshot but take screen shots of the values of each line, for example we need to see your details for screen on time, android os, the top 3-4 items really.
Next thing, like somebody said, dl better battery stats. It's a good app made by a clever chap on these forums. Charge the phone up and do what you do. When the battery is starting to be close to finished, take a screenshot from within the app for "partial wakelocks" The list can be long so sometimes you will need a few shots, as you scroll down the list.
Rule of thumb. Battery killers should float to the top of that list. High time (min/sec) and high count are equal culprits. Example, one thing may wakelock your phone for 15 minutes, in a single event, another thing may wakelock you for a total of 3 minutes, but occurring in a thousand split second events. Imagine waking up every minute, for a second then sleeping again. If you were a battery doing this you would drain quickly too!
If your wakelocks are low and display time is low, your battery is either not calibrated (instructions a few posts up) maybe changing ROM and kernel could help, but now we are approaching the possibility that your battery might be defective and a warranty swap could be in order.
Thanks for the reply.
Here are few pics of top 5 items on that list.
Although der was sudden fall in battery but it was due 2 my use

From your screenshots, I could see that, google backup transport may be the reaason for battery drain. Go to settings->privacy-> disable the backup and restore and then see if it make any difference!
Thanks a lot.
I have disabled it (backup think)
can i upload the pics immediately from BBS app? i mean will it show the proper records? or should i wait till it get drained out?

Off your tab and full charge and then switch on and use it till it is dead ....
And switch it till battery is completely down ...
And again charge it till 100% without break

What do you mean by "switch it till battery is completely down" ?
And do we switch off the tab when we fully charge it the 2nd time?
There are free apps on the playstore called "battery calibration" that basically erase your battery config file and allow the ROM to re-learn the battery usage, etc. Very easy to use, charge your battery to 100% - then click the button on the app, it erases the file - you unplug the unit, and use it normally. The software will build a new file
Your unit has to be rooted for this to work, and I have read that it does not really do anything, while others swear by it every time they flash a new ROM.
Do some searching - read some of the posts and details on them, and make your own decision
Good luck,
Regards,
Calibre battery is myth in all modern devices! It only erase battery usage data..
but FYI, its pretty useful on some devices!
i have xperia which has pretty erratic battery life..so clearing battery stats really helps!

Nexus 7 power spikes.

I'm not sure what's happening. My Nexus 7 remains idle most of the time, yet I get pretty bad battery drain and then when I check the battery history I see this. This happens during every battery drain.
Any ideas guys?

Wow, have never seen that on any device! Install Gsam or better battery stats if you are rooted to see what's going on. My best guess, it's a hardware issue.

Try contacting Google or the seller they might give you a replacement.

That happened to me once or twice. These spikes are only visible on the battery graph in settings app. I use an alternative battery monitor app from Google play and it does not show any spikes. Also battery life seems pretty in line with what other people report. I simply ignore them since they do not seem to affect battery life.
Could it be caused by the wireless charging functionality being triggered by other electronic devices in house?
I saw the same problem in the G+ community there, but it's Gelexy Nexus which updated to Android 4.3 recently

Hey everyone,
My Nexus 7 (2013) is having the same problem with battery graph. There are about 2-3 spikes to 100% in every discharge cycle.
I noticed this problem has been reported in different cycles, but no one seems to be able to give a definite answer of what the source of this problem is.
BTW, after a reset to factory settings, the problem still persists.
ANY idea why this is happening???

Battery draining extremely fast

I currently have 3 h 24 min on battery and I only have 50% left. I am on 4.4.2. Could this be normal for KitKat?

No, I've been a battery saver since I got this phone. I'm only using data when I need to and don't have access to wifi. Both mobile data and wifi are never on simultaneosly.

Look if the serial number of your battery starts with BD and if it's swollen. If this is the case, go to a Samsung service and you will get a new one for free.

[Help] Battery Drain Problem

Hi All,
Everything was ok till the day before yesterday. But suddenly from yesterday I am facing a huge battery drain problem i.e. 1% per minute on my S4. I am running the latest version of Arrow Rom.
I did format everything and reinstall Arrow Rom but no luck. Then I restored my previous Stock CWM backup and again problem is same.
One more thing my phone's battery is taking too much time to full charge. It takes 5 to 6 minutes to charge 1%. Sometimes it takes more than that.Although my phone is only one year old. When Iam using phone for browsing or chatting with charger plugged in its not charging properly its decreasing.
Can anybody tell me what is the problem?

Your battery is more likely to be uncalibrated. Download Battery Calibration from Google Play and follow the steps on how to calibrate it. It requires ROOT. Any other things that can cause this are wakelocks, be careful what kernel you use. You can monitor wakelocks using Wakelock Detector from Google Play.
Or your battery might be a faulty one, check if its swollen

Use power saving mode install stock rom
Auto brightness
Format sd card
Remove unnessesary apps
Stop all unusual apps like google plus hangout and play books etc etc those you don't use.
Disable chrome use dolfin or other's.
If you are using custom kernel or mods like audio mod or performance mods don't use them.
Auto sync off when not needed
If these steps don't work then change the battery
For charging use 2amp charger with a 16amp socket
Use stock usb
Clean your battery's copper area with petrol and also clean your
Usb cable and ports sockets
Hope this will help
And I know my English is not good.
